Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
miriya replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Amen to that. I will be doing the same thing. I just ordered the sumire grey gundam marker as well as a Tamiya sharp pointed side cutter so that I can cut the parts off the sprues very carefully. http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM74035 I have already spent a small fortune in supplies to make this kit. -

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models

David, I used some of the pro modelers weathering wash on my glaug. I found at first that the wash, when wet did not "stick" so well to the plain raw plastic. It sort of beaded around on top of the pastic a bit. I kept at it and applied more and more wash and when it dried it stuck pretty well. Rubbing the excess off was interesting because sometimes I was rubbing out of the panel lines too but I think that is the hardest part, rubbing off the excess but not too hard so that it gets out of the lines as well and getting the right moisture with the paper towel was tricky as well. I decided to leave some of the parts quite dirty but against that almost semi transparent white (not very creamy, maybe tending towards the blue side) the dark wash looks a bit strange. I did a clear coat over everything once I finished the rubbing. I am wondering if i should have applied a dullcoat first, then done the wash. and then another clear coat after rubbing off the excess. I have a feeling that a dullcoat may give more grit for the wash to hold to. What do you think? -

Thank you Klam1020 !!!! Those scans are awesome! I just paid for the magazine today through HLJ. I am sure that these scans will be very nice for those who are unable to get the mag. These pages are just gorgeous! I love how it has some build up pics on how to complete the model. That will be very helpful for noob people like me. That Monster looks awesome!!! Someone has to make those decals available so that we can do the mod too! Either that or Yamato make a Frontier version (unlikely due to licensing at this point though). Very exciting stuff. Thanks. -
Mine is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. This will be my first transforming Golion (voltron) toy as I did not have it as a kid (but wanted it bad) and did not get the diecast version. I have a small vintage non transforming diecast but this is a whole different thing. I am really excited. I will report as soon as I can but just to let you know that I do not have much of a reference point in terms of comparing it to other transforming voltron toys. I did however have the Godaikin GoggleV in the 1980s which was similar to the original golion. I wish I still had that!

Actually, no. not yet. I literally only have a hunch, no inside information... Sorry if I sounded like I knew something. I do not. But I feel something and that is the hunch. Sorry to let you guys down. I am hoping that charger69 may pull some of his magic for us though.

I would like to see a continuation of the story but also incorporate elements to tie in all of the macross universe into one cohesive epiphany. Not a dumbed down lecture explaining everything from protoculture to Vajra but rather an inspired and creative movie to reveal all the elements as spools of magical yarn become an elaborately woven tapestry.

Macross Frontier Series Discussion Thread *READ 1st Post*
miriya replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
I voted 10. Only because 11 was not an available option. This series completely and entirely exceeded my expectations, hopes, and imagination. Every aspect was top notch, the story, the unfolding plot, the characters, the actors, the writing, the music, the Mecha, the animation, the style, the designs (characters, sets, mecha, etc.), the way that it was very unique but still very macross, everything. I am beside myslef and overwhelmed with joy. As much as I imagine I can not think of anything I would change about this series. It really is a masterpiece. Macross Zero was my favorite for a while but now Frontier takes the top. It is the pinnacle of macross, summing up and containing all the escence of the macross universe. However I would really only reccomend friends to watch it if they watched SDFM, DYRL, Macross Plus, and Macross Zero as prerequisites to fully appreciate Frontier. -
I have a feeling that we will get more new info or pics in the next 72 hours. Just a hunch.

Macross Frontier Final Episode Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
miriya replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
OMFG!!!!!! I just watched the final episode and I almost want to cry. Frontier is one of the best anime series I have ever seen and the final episode was such a grand fanale. We are so fortunate to have this experience. I never would have thought that there would be another macross series, or at least one that would be good. But this was absolutely fantastic! Kawamori has made my dreams come true. Thank you all for helping. -
question... is this thread hypothetical or has it been announced that there will be a macross frontier movie?

This is indeed looking better now. Still the proportions in battroid look a bit funny with those monster thighs but this pic looks good IMO... Now the question for me is which to get Ozma or Alto? For me it will be a matter of fast packs. I forget, what was the release schedule for the FP? Was it that FP will be seperately sold for each or only as a combined set or that michael and luca would be the first with FP? Or was that still unconfirmed? -

Thanks again David. Now I have to figure out weather or not I will have time to do seam filling or just basic snap fit as the fill method sounds extraordinarily time consuming. Maybe I will try this method with my glaug and see how long it takes.
