Stupid me! Please learn from my mistake.... So I had panel lined my VF-25 on the sprues with a gundam panel line pen. It looked good... Then I used Testors Model Master laquer overcoat lusterless flat (dullcoat) over it to seal in the panel lines. The result.... The panel lines bled and broke up becoming splotchy and fuzzy. Where they were solid, they became almost like sponged, and also feathered out. So what did I do wrong? Anyone? I am guessing that I used the wrong clearcoat?

I still love this valk and am totally getting it. It will be my first V.2 1/60 VF-1 figure as I was not able to get the VF-1J that I wanted.

Those Glaugs look damn good Ron! Great work as always! I built up a kingkittan snap kit yesterday from gurren lagann. It was fun because it was "completed" in about 20 minutes. Of course I did not do any painting aside from gundam markers.

At 20cm in hight it better be less than $80. I am hoping more like $40. I would pay $120 if it was 40-50cm. Damn!

I just watched this finally last night. Good movie IMO. Great special effects and the mecha was pretty darned baddd aasssssss! The YF-22, that is not macross is it?

I love it! The battroid looks great! Not too fond of the fighter mode on this version but I probably wont pose it that way unless I get an ozma version.

I am so glad it is official now. Just earlier today I was thinking that I wanted a quarter to pose next to my vf-25. Sweet. 20cm is way too small though. I want it to be at least 40cm tall.

At first I thought that 4800 JPY was a bit much, and it is however for me this may not be a deal breaker. The 1/72 kits look nicer and are bigger and cost less but require a large amount of time to complete and for me right now that is a deal breaker. I have had my VF-25 kit for several weeks now and have barely made any progress. If it will take me 12 hours to complete that model for me that is $$ lost from not working. Although it is very fun, I dont have the time for much model making right now (I am doing a little anyway and have at least 6 kits that I am planning to build). My point is though that if these look good enough in the end I will be buying them. Especially if they do bust out the VF-4! But then again I dont think many of us would pass up a VF-4. For me the VF-25 armored versions, the VF-171, and the VF-4 will be definite buys. At this price it is a bit much but not deal breaking yet.
