  1. HA HA!! I noticed that you left out Booze! Thats my man! And yes, of course, being cool is THE MOST important thing. That is why I hang around Macrossworld forums all day!!! ruskiiVFaussie is COMPLETELY BADASS!!!! And VFTF1, yes, nice box is worth the money!
  2. Do you guys get a commission or something?!?! Are you trying to put me on the streets (with a box full of macross collectables)? I feel like this is peer pressure!"Come on ALL the cool kids have a wave SDF-1! Dont you want to be cool?" "Once you get a taste then the size wont bother you!" No food Booze or girls? You must be shrooming! .... eh. ... I might do it anyway.......
  3. Thank you for the encouragement. Trust me I was going through all that several times. I had the "Movie Colored" one on preorder and was watching many auctions for either version. I had my finger on the trigger with an itch in my sight but still everytime got a shot from reason in my rear and dropped. I have pondered it thoroughly. I have agonized even. And I have tried to just do it, go for it, get it over with. But everytime reason says, "You do not have the money for this. Dont put it on your credit cards. Wouldnt you rather buy a Yammie (or something else that I want more).". . . That said, I am hoping that HLJ will eventually do one of those super sales on it and then it will be mine. But the BIGGEST factor for me is the size. My VF-1 aboultely should not tower the SDF-1 and that is the main problem for me. If Wave made it 40-50cm with the same sculpt and beauty then it would be a no brainer for me. I guess I am just hung up on size (trying to compensate for something?). lol
  4. I have one of those 1980's SDF-1 toys too, the matchbox version, and I love it. It is the perfect size for a battleship especially in terms of the general sizes of other macross toys. It looks great with the CMS figures in front of it, or next to a chunky monkey or a Yamato valk or almost any other macross toy as it is still just a bit bigger than anything else as it should be. It can be used for forced perspective tricks etc... Seeing as how Bandai has the Soul of Chogokin line I would think that it should have fallen into that line/ size reminiscent of the old Takatoku SDF-1, or the old Godaiken lines like the larger Googel IV and Tetsujin 28, Go Lion and so forth.
  5. I just can not accept that it is going to be 20cm. That is just too small. I am still hoping that they will change their mind on that and make it more like 40cm - 50cm tall in battroid mode. Otherwise I may have to pass like I did with the WAVE SDF-1 which i think is absolutely gorgeous (both versions) but just too small and too expensive. And by "too" I mean that it crosses the threshold of willingness to buy for me personally (just to aviod more economics debates). Edit for spelling.
  6. Just for viewing reference. It looks great:
  7. OK, I found it still available Here at Yesasia.com http://www.yesasia.com/us/macross-frontier...-0-en/info.html I have never shopped with them before but have just placed my preorder for a total of $44.68 shipped. It was a bit steep indeed but I think still worth it. Of course that is almost as much as the kit itself! Blast!
  8. I just noticed that too! I am pissed! I have been checking every day to make sure I did not miss the preorder!!!! Damnit! Does anyone know anywhere else that has these available for preorder?
  9. I wonder if applying a flat coat over the figure would seal in the paint and provide a flat finish for those who do not like the glossy look?
  10. Another inspiring diorama! Great work brother!
  11. That is so cool that you have all three SV-51s!!! I still only have Nora. I want to eventually get Ivanov and Dobber/Flanker scheme too!
  12. Yeah, I would LOVE to see Yamato do the VF-25, VF-27, VF-171 etc. I hope that they will eventually. I guess whenever Bandai gives up the license? or they could share the license? Whatever needs to be done legally I hope that they do it.
  13. That really looks great. I love that color too. The weathering and finish look fantastic. I have been curious how one of these would look with matching white fast packs but I suppose that the valk would have to be painted in the same color in order to match.

  17. Well Alright "Mr. Lingerie!", I suppose it is a bit sad. Maybe my soul is dead after watching end of evangelion. That was some messed up stuff. I did like Kittan a lot as a character. Love his mecha too!
  18. Alright, just when I thought this topic was dead (never had much of a life to begin with really), My dad emailed me this link.... http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=177...mp;fullscreen=1
  19. That seems like some pretty sound advice actually. Thanks.
  20. well since I have just finished Gurren lagann and evangelion I am going to start something new. One of my good friends is hoping that I will watch gunbuster and I will eventually. Maybe next. I have to admit though that I still have not seen macross II or Macross7. And the sick thing is that I own them both! Dont kill me please!!! The main thing for me is time. I made time to watch Frontier and the rest but I have not heard great things about macII and mac7 and so that is why I have waited so long.
  21. One of my favorite parts from the last disc was when Boota It was so cute. And I laughed out loud.
