I love that quote! However 1/48 is where IT IS AT!!!! I personally love the 1/48 the most. It is big. The sculpt is fantastic and looks great in all modes. It does not have those wimpy 1/60 v.2 legs and high heel looking feet. Most importantly though is that it is in scale with the plethora of model supplies, model kits and what have you that are available from many companies in 1/48 so it is perfect for accurate looking dioramas and even the use of O scale RR stuff and 1/43 and 1/50 die cast stuff can be squeezed in.

I actually like the DYRL kakizaki VF-1A (aside from the pilot) but the character is one of my least favorites. It is a nice green color and I almost got it as my first 1/48 valk.

There is one member mslz22 who was making a resin kit that is quite nice the thread is HERE. AFIK he sill had some left. you could send him a PM. I have one that I threw together HERE. Also member Ron5864 has done some commission jobs and his work is TOP NOTCH. I dont know what his availability is right now. Mine is HERE. EDIT: But yeah, with about 4 - 6 kotobukiya mechanical chain bases you can get a valk in there looking sweet quite instantly. I have a few of those too.

You made a wise decision. I have the Milia version and it is one of the coolest toys ever made. You will not be dissapointed and it is the best price I have ever seen for one of these even used and incomplete. Congratulations. I want one too to go with my milia....

I bet you that they had too much stock of both the items and are packaging them together to make is sound more attractive and put an exclusive sticker on it to finally get rid of the stock. The camo never looked great to me but some members here have moded theirs to look pretty decent. Another pass for me.
