Am I the only one who thinks the VF-3000 is pure awesome?!
-
The three PT valks that I want MOST right now (by Yamato) are VF-4 VF-0D VF-3000 I love the VF-3000. It is such a cool design! It would make a fantastic transforming figure.
-
I like this and WILL get one but I hope that they also do the VF-0 (A,S,D), VF-4, and VF-3000 as well.
-
They sure are. I am still glad I got it though. It will be the ONLY one I will get. Except maybe a Monster. The temptation overpowered me regardless of the price. I am glad I got it though. A fantastic work of art.

Great stuff there ikhii. Which color Tamiya weathering master did you use on the tomahawk and on the defender?

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development

It is true what you say! In both Fighter AND battroid the fins are bigger in the art. I wonder why they decided to make them so small? AND, I am not sure how the physics and mechanics of transformation would allow but the calf parts of the legs could be a bit meatier. -
Well they are supposedly non-scale. They say anywere from 1/144 to 1/72. I am going to use it in a 1/60 diorama. Since there are no pilots/cockpits I think that it makes it highly interpretive.

Thanks Ignacio Ocamica, It was all actually really easy. I encourage everyone to try these simple techniques. I am not an airbrusher and not really a modeler (I have only made a few). But the panel lines with gundam marker and the weathering with the Tamiya weathering master sets are SOOOOOO easy to apply, anyone can do it. It was so easy and turned out so nice that I am going to buy another Tamiya weathering set (different colors) to weather one of my 1/48 VF-1S Yamato valks. Why spend hundreds of dollars for the limited edition when I can do it myself for $10 and a little time. The weathering on the destroid took me 20 minutes and there were NO complications whatsoever.

The new Kotobukiya Trailer Base 003 and 004 look great IMO.... http://hlj.com/product/KBYMB-30 http://hlj.com/product/KBYMB-31 I may preorder at least one of these...

OK so here are the pics of the defender with gundam marker panel lines AND the Tamiya orange rust weathering master added. The Tamiya weathering Master is AWESOME and EASY to use. It does smudge though which is an advantage to gettting a good color fade but it will require a clear coat unless you do not plan to touch the thing. I have not yet clear coated. Next I will clear coat and then maybe decals or stickers. . .

Thanks. That is an interesting idea. I have some future but no airbrush. I do have a friend with an airbrush though. Is there something that I could mix with the future to make it flat instead of shiney?

Looks like it was done by someone named Genpachi Tokaimura. I hope that whoever that is, that they work with Yamato on the PT version. -

That is a really nice sculpt. I somehow doubt it will be a cast off though. And if it is, then it will be mo money mo money and will probably sell out with preorders. Like the Shuraki Needa figure.

For me, I am a battroid guy so it would be a bummer for me. But I do like Fighter mode sometimes too. I would only go for a 1/60 Fighter mode only figure if it really WAS MUCH CHEAPER, Like maybe $50. Otherwise I really like transforming mecha toys. It is interesting because Graham had started a thread asking us if we would buy a fighter mode only GNU line and most people said NO. -

I think because most of us think that it is a stunningly gorgeous design. I personally think it is one of Kawamori's most beautiful designs for both Fighter and Battroid.
