That is so strange. I have this image printed in my brain of Hikaru's VF-1J in half gerwalk in space during the credits but I just checked the macross opening and ending credits and it is not there. Then I checked the Robotech opening and ending credits too just in case it was burned into my childhood memories but it was not there either! What valk was Hikaru piloting when the introduced the booby ducks?

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been putting it off too much. I am scattered like crazy and trying to do several models, dioramas, customs, all bit by bit a tiny bit of time at a time in my limited free time. But I think that I really just need to bust out the masking tape and spray cans soon. Right now though it has been raining for weeks and the forcast expects more. I would rather not do spray painting in those conditions as the shed that I spray in has no back wall and a broken window! Yup it is pretty jankey. Anyway, maybe I will get the masking tape up on milia later today. I am practicing my foam core cutting by making a little diorama base for my Gurren Lagann figures. The purpose of that is to have the skills to do my airlock door diorama extension to RON5864's diorama which I have started with the styrene for the actual airlock. I am still working on my destroid (needs clear coat and decals/stickers). Then I have some resin models that I should be working on too. Anyway I really do want to get this DYRL Milia meltraendi flightsuit mighty mug going. Hopefully I will make some progress. And when I do, I will post here.

I am loving those V.1 1/60 yamato valks! Makes me glad that I did not sell any of mine. I have a thing for diecast sometimes. Nostalgia from the 1980s.

Good work and thank you for sharing... Yeah, to do this in Adobe Illustrator using vectors, for someone who knows illustrator well (which is not me) would probably take less than an hour. I really want to learn Illustrator. Good stuff.

So one question is if the $74 price difference between the GNU and the 1/60 plus the extra $10 for shipping (SAL) so a total of $84.50 is worth it? So: GNU = $40.50 shipped (SAL) 1/60 = $125.00 shipped (SAL) Which one am I going to pick? Not sure actually.

Paint>Coat>Line>Coat>Decal>Coat? Is that right? Make sure you have the enamel acrylic thing down too. I used an enamel clear coat and it melted my work. No enamels on top of waterbased paints or Acrylics.
