  1. Can someone leak some pre-production shots of the VE-1? There must be something somewhere that someone could somehow summon.

    Passing the torch

I love this picture of your son. He looks stoked to be playing with the toy while watching macross at the same time! Amazing how gentle he is with your YF-21. He must know how important it is to you. Very sweet. Thanks MacrossMan. He really is. The magic in the eyes of our children is the magic that is still in our hearts, regardless however much covered up with adult responsibility. Thanks Graham for starting this thread and also posting that sweet picture of your son.

My son loves macross mecha. He has not watched macross yet because his mom will not let me show it to him yet but he will before too long. . . He has his own Bandai Macross 7 VF-19 Kai valk that MW member RF-26AAC gave to him. He plays with that all the time. Then he has a bandai reissue VF-1J that I painted red for him. I have also let him play with the Yamato Quedluun Rau, which he loves but I had to take it away because he got a little too violent with it.

VF-4 VF-3000 VF-0D Those three and I will be set!
  10. Are there pictures yet of the painted armored Ozma ?
  11. I hope not. I think it is display worthy. Dont get me wrong, I am all for blowing up toys but not really nice ones like this.
  12. Macross1979, Do you have any of the Yamato Destroids? They are very nice. I have a Defender and it was worth the $$$.
  13. By the way, Cool Dia De Los Muertos stuff. (Spelling?)
  14. NMB4M, That is just super cool! I have always wanted a toy of this. Can you make a conversion kit? Or maybe post instructions on how to do the mod?

That is the first time I have heard a great explanation. Thank you!

Thats what she said? But seriously it is very hard to let any figures go. Even the cheap $10 transformers that are not even being displayed. Blachhh!!! I need to spend some time getting my display set up better with more shelves and what not. I may have to let it sprawl into the rest of my apartment on high shelves so little toddler man does not destroy them like a reckless Zentran drunk on culture.
  17. Very cool model. Great details. I love how he put the macross Zero Logo as a decal. Does the kit come with a decal like that or is it a custom decal too?

I know. I was beginning to do this by getting my Shuraki Needa figure all together to sell. Then I started playing with it, taking the clothes off and on and changing between the gun and the knife and I lost her hat! Now she is basically worthless without her hat and I cant bloody find it!!! But for sure, I do not have enough room to fit all of my figures as you can see from the photos of my collection and I have a bunch of stuff loose in boxes waiting for shelf space.
  19. Lets make this a poll!
  20. I want one as well.

The macross factory diorama idea could work in 1/48 as well as 1/60 as macrossman has proven with Ron's dioramas. And I am fortunate to say that I can confirm this. The only "problem" would come in with the ground crew and support vehicles but perhaps they could make them in between 1/48 and 1/60 or just leave those out. Anyway for now I am stoked to have my RON5864 macross factory diorama as well as my mslz22 one. But I want the majority of my valkyrie collection to be housed in macross factory dioramas. I am wanting to make my entire figure collection in dioramas. I have started some simple ones for my Kurusawa Yojimbo figures and another for my gurren lagann figures too.

Yamato should make a modular 1/48 and/or 1/60 macross factory diorama series that could link together and come with support crew and vehicles pre-assembled pre-painted (and tampoed) That would be SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!

    Models vs. Toys

Good question macrossman. The models of the VF-25 in the model magazines are pro-built all painted, detailed and weathered. When I built my VF-25 kit without painting but only panel lining, gundam marker and snap together it took about 9 hours or so to build. I would guess that the ones that are fully painted, lined, weathered, and detailed would take much much more time, maybe 20 or 30 hours?
