I am a big fan of the 1/48. However I am very happy with my one v.2 1/60 VF-1D which has no problems at all. They are both totally awesome figures and engineering feats. Best transforming toys ever! Since I have not be a victim of any of the yamato problems (even my VF-0A is perfect) I feel that their products are top shelf top notch awesomeness. I am aware of course that many of the members here have had substantial and totally bummer problems with theirs like exploding shoulders, backpacks, etc. So that is not good.

I like how the cockpit looks like it is from a helicopter. At first I thought it looked silly like a walking chopper but halfway through the movie I started to like the design. Nothing great like the regult or the AT-ST (which looks like a rip off of the regult by the way). I like the detail on this maquette though. And I AM two robots making out with each other!

It looks like slideshow is making a nice maquette. . .

I hope that the Yamato VF-1 Model kit will continue to be produced, that they will make blank DIY model kits of all the rest (VF-0, YF-19, YF-21, etc..) and that they will, or anyone else will produce waterslide decal sets including both minmay guards. Also a VF-171 kit would be nice. A new macross factory kit would be awesome. Macross support vehicles and ground crew would be good too.

I just double checked my VF-1D and the pins are the good ones, thankfully.

Finally! I got a payment request from HWJapan for this. $77.44 total. Good deal. Now I wait for SAL!!!

Finally got a message from HWJ saying that as soon as they get the item they will request payment and ship it. I guess that is good news. But I thought that they should have it by now considering other places are already sold out.

I saw the movie last night for the first time. Saw it in 3D. The visuals were absolutely mind blowing. I suppose that I have nothing to say here in this tread that has not been said but I did like the movie a lot. Sure the story was not very original or perfect but it was thoroughly entertaining. There were a lot of "messages" in the film, some of which I agreed with, some of which I do not agree with, but overall I thought that it was a cinematagraphical (is that a word?) masterpiece at least visually. There was nothing in the story that made me hate the movie like it has for so many people for so many different reasons. And I do want to see it again in 3D before it leaves the theaters. The 3D seemed much better than the 3D I saw in Pixar's UP a while back and I am not sure if it is just the theater or the glasses or the technology but this was really impressive 3D. Overall, Thumbs up from me.

I wish that they did the GBP hands like on the 1/48 version. I really wonder why they left those out. Why? Why?!!!

This looks awesome. The proportions are fantastic. They did a great job. I have always thought that the GBP made the valk look like a football player. Anyone else? If anyone has a football helmet that will fit on the VF-1J head I would love to see that.

After several failed attempts I was finally able to see my order with limited information. I also emailed them with no reply. Now it is a waiting game. I just am very much looking forward to customizing "my" valk.

Me. And no, nothing. Their site is horribly difficult to navigate. Let me know if you hear back from them. I wish us both luck on this.

So are these going to be a wonderfest limited exclusive or are they just debuting at wonderfest to be made available later on? And does this T-Rex company have a retail site or make any of their stuff available publicly?

@anime52k8 Sorry that this too may be a bit off topic but I just love your animated image there. Every time I see it I find my self staring at it in a trance. Just pure awesome.
