I got mine on ebay and this is one of my very favorite. Well worth it. It is discontinued and not likely to be reproduced. Sqidd, definitely do not get the ones that have chinese subtitles too. Those are the ones that have the horrible translation for subtitles that make no sense whatsoever. I hold to my original statement that the best way to see Macross Zero is to watch the ANBU fansubs.

Graham, I know that you have stated this in several forums and in PMs. So my question is, "But Why"? "Why daddy why?" and of course why with such certainty. There must be a good reason to be able to say "not ever".

If you want to see the proper coloring for the SDF-1 according to the movie version then you can watch the movie (Do you remember love) and see how it compares to the first WAVE toy and the future release. I thought that the first WAVE toy was very close to the movie. If they made improvements upon it then that is great! Still the ORIGINAL color would be the TV color (white and blue with red under the arms/aircraft carriers). The Takatuo and Matchbox SDF-1 toys from the 80s were pretty much spot on with the TV show. It would be great if WAVE did a TV version but the sculpt is different so they would have to start afresh changing the Prometheus and Daedolus, make the head bigger and change the details. Here they are probably using the same molds as their last production. I did not get the first one so I may get this one once I see better photos of it.

Some of you may have noticed that the YF-19 with Fold Booster & Fast Pack Parts was labeled as discontinued for a while at HLJ. I just checked and it is back in stock so no worries there. So far no preorders on nora or the 25th anniv black & gold valks. Now I need to find a way to get $240 to get my YF-19!!! I dont remember clearly but it seemed that the YF-19 with Fold Booster & Fast Pack Parts has gone up in price at HLJ since it was first released? Maybe just my bad memory.

I am very excited that I finally got an elintseeker, be it a yamato, I still think it is a beautiful design. I had a dream about diecast and ordered it the next day! Here are some pics.... Edit: HERE are the pics?

Yeah, It is the 25th anniversary of the tv show, not the movie. I guess WAVE would have had to do a new sculpt for the tv version but that would have been very nice. Too bad. Although I do like that they have released the sdf-1 in a new color. It is indeed hard to see in the photo so I look forward to seeing some better pics. The new valks look nice but I agree, they could have done something more relevant, like a 1/48 VF-1D. the VF-1D IS the PERFECT 25th anniversary valk because it is the first valk that we ever see going into batt mode! It was the monumental moment in Macross history! Why not celebrate that? When we all saw that valk transform, we were hooked! I hope that they do not hold out until the 50th anniversary for that!

Have you seen the 1/60 version? I actually like that one better. The 1/48 one looks like he is suffocating and the 1/60 looks more natural, that is obviously my opinion and it is up to you, but check out some of the photos of them. Also, you can get a 1/60 GBP with vf-1j hikaru included for alot less than the 1/48.

Yes, I think that graham may have mentioned that Yamato will not do the 2 seaters, which is sad. My point is that, as of now, the only transforming elintseekers that exist, to my puny knowledge, are the Bandai 1/55 and the Yamato 1/60, and it does not seem likely to be more in the future. We all know how hard to find the bandais are and how expensive they are if you find a complete one, and the Yamato ones seem to be getting harder to find now too. I just ordered my first elintseeker and I wish I could afford a couple more to hold for a few years from now because they may become worth alot more. NEW QUESTION: Does anyone have a bandai 1/55 elintseeker and a yamato 1/60 elintseeker that they can put next to eachother, photograph and put on this forum? Since I do not have the Bandai I would love to see how they look next to eachother.

Will there ever be other elintseekers? If Yamato will not do a 1/48 of it will anyone? People say that yamato will not make 1/48 vf-1 two seaters, which is really too bad. So does that mean that the only (non-model) elintseekers will be the 1/55 and the 1/60? I am glad to say that I just ordered my first yamato elinteeker today as I have wanted that one since I saw the first pre production samples and have finally gotten around to it. I had a feeling that they were going to run out and become less available. it seemed that tisinc99 only had four left (now it is 3), so I had to grab it. I would not be surprised, in a couple years time, to see the 1/60 ve-1 yammies going for a few hundred after all the stock runs out. I know that they have been discontinued for some time and it seems that alot of retailers are running out too.

Yamato should use depleted uranium in their paint so that our valks will glow at night and help us mutate into super-miclones.

Another good point by fly4victory! Yeah, it is best if we don't cause and uproar and instead keep our toys out of our mouths, however hard that is. That makes the transformation contests more limited but WTF.

good point. I am not planning to let my son play with my yammies. He is only 2 and a half years old and he would destroy them. I let him play with my jetfire for a few minutes once (HE LOVED IT!!!) but I had to pry it from his hands to keep him from breaking it. Most of us are not putting these in our mouths (hopefully) although I may want to lick nora's... what? Sorry everyone. Three of my sons toys were recalled for lead paint and they were all made in China. I think that it is probably a safe assumption that the paint in these yammies do have some lead so no more licking and sucking on them! OK?
