BTW, has anyone found where Yamato is hiding the YF-21 on their website? The winner gets a prize! Finding it is of course the prize. And sharing it should be nice too. I just have a feeling that the photos are on their site somewhere. Of course there are the images from Graham master flash's notorious hard drive. I wonder which we will see first the Graham secret nuggets or the yamato site peekaboo.

It seems that with each release they are able to justify a higher price tag! I too, for a brief fraction of a second, thought that the YF-21 would probably be cheaper but then realized that they have no reason to make it cheaper. Why? Because our willingness to pay is so motherjumping high. Why? Because we are completely obsessed freaks who will give blood, sell limbs, and spend our children's college funds for these deliciously evil toys!

I know. I thought that was pretty scary. When I first saw that I was like, "Holy Sh!t, she just threw her baby across the room!" and that was basically Misa's reaction too. I also thought it was funny how Max was basically like, "oh yeah, no problem, she has strong bones." and so casually. This is one of my favorite episodes of SDFM.

I am surprised hearing that from someone with an avatar like yours. No offense. I think that your avatar is very original but a little disturbing too. I just really liked that scene in SDFM and thought it would make a cool toy.

Oh yeah, I have seen those. I had been thinking about getting one eventually. After reading the review I may wait much longer. Sounds like these have issues. They do look nice though.

Hey thanks for reporting that. I did not know that these had issues. I have yet to get one. I was holding off for the FP versions. Maybe I will rethink it now. Although I still may get a max 1J.

You just have to own both at least one 1/60 and one 1/48 VF-1 and transform them both to appreciate both of them. I love the 1/48 more than the 1/60 for the VF-1 but I have only one 1/48 (VF-1S DYRL Roy with Stealth Fast packs) while I have 3 (fourth on the way) 1/60ths. Mainly because there are no 1/48 versions of the Ostrich, Eilntseeker, and 1D trainer so I had to have the 1/60 versions. I appreciate them and I have a bit of a fetish for the die cast but the 1/48 is far superior in its sculpt, detail, poseability, ease of transformation, so on and so forth. The 1/60ths seem to crumble in your hands and fall to pieces compared to the 1/48.

Does MPC stand for Masterpiece Collection?

I would still like to see it. When you get a chance. I have never seen one.

I second Sumdumgai on that, I go for Sharon. I like half zentraedi folk for sure but this guy had a nasty anger problem and he was a rapist which I just do not like. sure he finally regretted it and tried to make good but just a bit creepy for me. Dont get me wrong I do like his character and do think he had some redeeming qualities. I liked that he meditated and had such amazing mental control. Sure it went out of control and that screwed things up more than once but an interesting guy none the less.

NO I am pretty sure it has a light up eye with sound effect included and fire that shoots out of the thrusters. This is a very advanced toy not for children and make sure that you do not display it with the thrusters anywhere near your bong or small children.

I was thinking the same thing. I love the Macross World Forums. It is an exciting time to be a macross fan. All of my childhood dreams of great toys are coming true. I remember in the 80s when I had jetfire and was watching Robotech thinking, "I just cant get jetfire in that pose". Now with the 1/48 yammies all those poses are doable. And so on and so forth. I never really liked the YF-21 but after watching that advertisement (4 times in a row!) my kitty got very wet. Now I like it and I need it and will have it (eventually)!

In the OVA it looks more gray than tan to me. It really seems to be somewhere between gray and tan.

That is a great analogy. I fall for that every time too. I am like, "ohhh, juicy burger!" pay for it and then am like, "ewwww, nasty crap. Why do I keep doing this to my self?". What I hate more is when toys packaging has a kick ass image on the cover that has been computer enhanced and you think that it is going to be an awesome toy but then when you open it up you see the cheesy materials and lack of detail that the toy actually has. What deceptive let down.
