I just found out about this anime and the mecha designs by Shoji Kawamori are awesome! I have not seen an episode yet but was wondering first of all if anyone here has seen this and if so if it is any good. Secondly does anyone here know when it will come out on DVD (with english subtitles and region 1 or regionfree)?

Yes. Why dont you burn us at the stake or do a firing squad or something bloody and grotesque. Maybe a Macross World private beheading ceremony. I do think it is still beautiful but it is my least favorite of the SK Macross designs. When I first saw it I thought it looked like a flying cockroach and really did not like it. Now it is growing on me a bit but still behind the rest. Anyway if you want to throw us off of the forums for not liking your favorite mecha, I think that is a bit silly and of course you are joking. You are joking right? Please tell me you are joking? I dont want to die! It is not my time yet!! I have so many Yamato Macross toys to collect before I die!!! Please just give us a chance! I will never say anything against your lovely 21 ever again!

I am with Sqidd and warpaint22 on this issue as well. I do think that Yamato has done an excellent job on the 21 and it looks beautiful but it is probably my least favorite of all the mecha designs in the Macross Universe. I may still get one though but first I need to get a YF-19 (and lots of other things).

That sounds like good reasoning. I hope that you are correct about that too because I do want to get one of these to pose next to my Isamu CMS figure.

I wonder which will look better in Battroid mode, Yamato's upcoming Battroid only VF-11 or Yamato's upcoming transformable VF-11? I know that without photos this will be mere speculation but I am curios. I want to pose in Battroid mode so I am glad that they are making one in battroid only but I wonder if their transformable version (whenever that will be released, god or Graham, knows) will look as good, better or worse than this one in Battroid mode.

Wow! Do not disturb, That is a really nice valk. Did you just take the red off of a Hikaru for the body and paint the FP gray or did you paint the VF-1J White? If you did Strip the Paint off, how did you do it? I was thinking about doing a similar thing but with white on the FP too. I am not a modeler though and have no expericnce customizing. I have an old Jetfire that I am planning to customize as my practice, whenever I get the time.

I would say go for it!

I too only have one 1/48 (a Roy 1S) and have it displayed. I have 4 (soon to be 6 - whenever they arrive) 1/60ths and they are displayed too. I find that the 1/48s are more playable than the 1/60s in terms of the VF-1s but my 1/60th VF-0A shin with booster is pretty playable and I like doing different poses with him. For real good play time the 1/55 chunky monkeys are pretty good. I have an old beat up Jetfire for these purposes.

He just got married like last week or something. Give him a few weeks though.

That is great news! Now another toy that I have to get somehow. I am both happy about this and sad because it may mean no alcohol or food for the next few months.

Is that because you work for them?
