  1. I love the 1/48! My 1/48 Milia is my favorite valk! I am not going to let mine go. You would have to pry it from my dead cold hands!!! Edit: and I do not think that the 1/48 was or is a failure at all. I think that it is the best VF-1 to date. I am a quite a bit excited about the new 1/60 line but just about as much as I am pissed off about it. I just hope to get a VF-1D. Then it is Macross Frontier Valks for me (of course with some other stuff in between, GNU macross Plus battroids, etc...).
  2. I would go for a 1/24 or even a 1/18 scale super detailed valk. But honestly, after just watching Macross Frontier Episode one, all I want is one of those new mechas! HOLY CRAP are those cool!!!! I hope to whatever benevolent forces exist in this psychotic universe that Yamato will make these or that Bandai blows our minds - and soon!
  3. WOW!!!! HOLY Sh*#!!!! I just watched the first episode and am in love!!!! This was better than I thought it would be. The animation, the Mecha, the story (so far), the music, everything. I never thought this would happen. I had some idea that Macross Zero would be the end of macross and I am so glad that I was wrong. This just kicks major ass!!!!! Thank you Kawamori and Bandai and everyone involved! Keep up the great work!!!
  4. I think that Bandai reissuing those old macross models instead of making some new, nicer, sculpts shows that their concern for quality with macross is far less than their wish to capitalize off of the increased interest in macross due to MacrossF coming out. I would love to see them make an ass kicking MacrossF line of perfect transformation figures but I somehow doubt that they will and at this point would much prefer to see yamato do it.
  5. Bring it on indeed!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I think this was a joke. Not sure. Though.
  7. So it is already Christmas Eve there? America is soooo behind!
  8. Yep, I know what you mean. I fell in love with Misa and not with minmei even if she did save the human race. I also fell in love with milia.
  9. Need more money need more space need more.... chocolate.... mmmmmm........ Oh, yeah, and need more valks.
  10. I know what you mean but it is probably because these 11 pages appeared overnight! The first post was yesterday.
  11. That one is pretty sexy IIRC. However my favorite, which they will not do is the flightsuit and second favorite is the red chinese dress which they probably wont do either.
  12. Yes, then they will release the macross plus and macross zero valks in 1/48!
  13. We have heard about so many goings on at Yamato, The 25th Valks, The YF-21, the GNU line, and now the blow up news about the revised 1/60th line of VF-1 but what ever happened to Minmei? We have not seen a pre production sample or a prototype or heard any news. Did this get swept into the dust bin? Are they going to still do it and if so when? It seems like Yamato has us on a drip with news now. About one major Fix every 10 days or so. That way we can jones for over a week, plan our shopping strategies and just when we get so frustrated with anxiety and anticipation bomb us with another syringe full of meat. I guess I am curious because even though Minmei really annoys me, I find her character to be one of the most important parts of the macross story. Of course you all know this and no need to go on but her singing saves the human race and I really resonate with the idea of music saving lives. It is such a romantic notion. Especially that one woman's songs can defeat a gargantuan army of war mongering space aliens. So where is our Heroine and what will she look like. I almost want her to look nasty and ugly so I do not have to spend the money but if she is hot and dressed well (I hate that dress with the green dots!), then I may consider it. Not much choice really. I bet Graham already has one on his desk. He is after all in minmei's panties!
  14. Now that it is pretty much confirmed that these will be the last 1/48 valks by yamato, it is tempting to get one VF-1S just to keep in the box as a collectors item. Hmmmmm.
  15. LOL That one is very funny!
  16. Crazy!!! Great time to collect Macross! I did not expect this thread when I sat down at my computer this morning. Also did not expect to read 10 pages at once. Big deal for sure. OK so I am both really excited and sort of pissed off! I need to put some garlic and crucifix on my wallet to keep the vampire that is yamato from sucking my bank accounts lifeless! I will come equipped with a ABS/PVC stake and mallet ready for the next nocturnal attack!!! F n A!!!! I have to say that I will probably only be getting the VF-1D (they had better motherjumping do that one!!!) and possibly a minmei guard or other variants that were not covered before. I just finished collecting the old 1/60 scale!!! Blood suckers!!!! I am keeping my 1/48s for sure. I may have to sell some of my old diecast 1/60s though. Well Domo Arigato mr. Yamato and bugger off you vampire toy scum!!! conflicted fan.....
  17. This is the only forum that I have ever joined and the only one I post on. Although I am obsessed with things other than Macross as well, and could easily join some other boards, this is the only one I feel is worth my time and gives me satisfaction. Especially being a collector, I get important information about the hobby and practical advice, heads ups about future releases and great opportunities to trade with other collectors. I already spend too much time here. I do not know how I could possibly spend any time on other boards without getting fired. Ok, here is a question,,,, How many of us post while on the job? I am going to bet at least 50%.
  18. Hello! Do I see a TV Quedluun Rau, a TV SDF-1, a Glaug, and destroids? Is this Yamato or models or what. Can someone translate?!! EDIT: Never mind. This was covered in the ever increasing 1/60 line thread. These are reissues of Bandai models.
  19. Was that a SNL sketch? I think I remember that. It was very funny!
  20. I am really trying to like these. (I do not know why, because I can not afford them). But I just can not bring myself to desire them. I much prefer the VF-1 Stealth version with variations of black and Grey. And for the YF-19 I would have preferred a Vampires Scheme similar to the Stealth version. I guess I can thank them for making something that I do not want. Now I can save up for the ones that I do want. There are plenty of those.
  21. in any case it is a great scene. Edit: and I think that the mystery of it adds to its greatness. It also makes him so much more of a badd asss.
  22. I second that and raise you one Milia. EDIT: BTW I just paid for my Frauline Rei figure with HLJ. (Yes, I am over my HLJ boycott. It lasted.... about a week and a half? They came good and I think they are back on track now.)
  23. My pleasure to help. This is a community of Macross Fans where we can help each other out. I have gotten so much help from members here and always try to be as helpful as I can (even when criticizing other members for being full of it!JK). It was from looking at Graham's incredibly cool diorama on the forums that I found out about the ground crew sets. Back on Topic, I agree that completing the bridge characters would be the way to go and any other characters. It would be great if CMS does make the MacrossF figures but I do not think they have to wait for that. There are plenty of cool characters left from SDFM alone to make more macross fans happy and to make more money. If anyone from CMS is out there please make Gloval, the rest of the Bridge Bunnies, Claudia, Laplamiz, Kamjin, Bretai and Exsedol in the nest set and please continue to make these awesome Macross figures.
  24. Those are from the 1/48 Hasegawa ground support kit. I did not paint them myself as I am not a modeler. I bought them from an ebay seller who is a modeler who was selling them pre painted. If you are a modeler then you can find the Hasegawa 1/48 Ground support kit and paint it yourself or any number of other ground support kits in that scale. There are a few available although mostly discontinued you can find some from sellers on ebay. There are some sellers on ebay who sell pre painted 1/48 support and or ground crew bits. you can do a search for "1/48 ground" and find something.
