  1. Thanks for the input everyone. I am not a fan on Trigger Heart Exelica and do not even play video games (please dont shoot me! ) but I like girls and I like mecha, and together.... Well you are right that it is too much money for a slight interest especially when I could spend just a little more and get a VF-0SwGhost or just get the new wave SDF-1. I do like the sky girls designs but have not yet seen strike witches. I will have to check that out (and bill you later ) Still undecided though..... hmmmmm.......
  2. I am looking for a 1/48 TV Hikaru VF-1J pilot figure too. But what I want even more is a set of 1/48 GBP hands. I can not justify buying the whole GBP set just because I want the hands. If anyone has an extra set that they can part with please PM me. Thanks.
  3. I collect mainly Macross for nostalgia from childhood watching the show which must not be mentioned, and now in adulthood watching SDF Macross, DYRL, Mac0, Mac+, MacF, etc. and for that I mainly collect the figures that I like the most which is based largely on design. I will also collect figures and mecha that are from shows that I have never seen if their design is stunningly gorgeous. I love robots and a real sexy robot is hard to pass up! Also being a sucker for aesthetics I will sometimes break down for anything that looks fantastic! However I am trying to focus mainly on Macross.
  4. I also may have to vote for the new Macross F VF-25 or "brief 25"! I have not yet voted on this poll because it was not there and also because i am at a standstill in my mind about the VF-0, the VF-1, the VF-4 and the VF-25. It is definitely one of those four for me. I will have to think about it for now and vote later.
  5. Great work. This is gorgeous! I also like the closed mouth version. I am not a modeller and have never glued or painted a kit before but this is making me want to do so. I am going to have to consider it.
  6. The subtitles did not make since because the only commercially available version of Macross Zero on DVD was translated from Japanese to Chinese and then from Chinese into English. The characters names even change and it is just absolutely confusing. The best way to see it if you care about the story and dialog is to watch the fan subs. The ANBU and AonE fansubs are fantastic and you can torrent them from animesuki usually. You will not regret it!
  7. I am a fan of the Valk Girls. I am a fan of Murakami's versions. I am a fan of the Busou Shinki figures too. I saw this on HLJ and do want it but it is a bit pricey and I could by a valk for this amount. I can not figure out if I should get it or not. Is anyone here getting this one? http://www.hlj.com/product/ALT20168
  8. Hey, Thanks Kicker773. I love the Valk girl! Is that the Bandai Kit? Sqidd, you really think it is creepy? Thats cool if you do, I mean, we can still be friends, right? I was suprised at how many people were disturbed by the Takeshi Murakami Valk Girl too. I mean, yeah, her Coochie, was just sticking out in your face, but whats disturbing about that? Anyway, I may have to pick one of these up. The Bandai Kit is easier to get and cheaper than the ultra rare Murakami Kit.
  9. and I seem to recall an issue with the bombs staying on.
  10. My nora has an issue. I ordered it over a month ago from a ebay seller based in Hong Kong and I still do not have it.
  11. Yo Kicker773, That was sweet!!! I love that song, was just listening to it last night and it made me think of macross so it was funny for me to see you post this here. Great video. Do you know those girls? I was impressed with their coordination, I mean at least for an amature video. Thanks.
  12. In my opinion, the Yamato 1/48 scale VF-1s(meaning plural) are the ultimate in accurate sculpt and elegance. Compared to the Toynami's the Yamatos are far superior, at very least in looks. I find the Toynami MPCs to resemble some sort of mutant child of the old Bandai and Taktatoku Valks from the 1980s (the Chunky Monkeys - that are really cool for what they are) and the perfect sculpt of the gorgeous Yamato 1/48s. They look decent in my opinion but I prefer the 1/48 Yamatos (even the 1/60 - first versions) and the Chunky Monkeys from the 1980s to the Toynami MPCs. I personally am focusing on the Yamato macross toyline. (I wonder if it is because of that advertisement staring at me every day from the top right of my screen?J/K)
  13. I am thinking along the same lines with some differences. First of all I think that it would be stupid to release all the same variants they did previously, first before doing some of the ones that we do not have. I am assuming that most of the collectors have been collectors for a while, most of us on MW forums, and already have most of the canon stuff that we want except for the variants they never released. That said I will contradict myslef a little bit with my own personal wishlist (yes, I had to throw in the VF-4 because it was already mentioned in this thread). My list of what I would want to buy the most personally: 1. VF-4 (I know for sure that they would not release this first - probably last) 2. VF-1D 3. Minmei Guard Paris 4. Minmei Guard Moon 5. TV Max 1-A 6. VE-1 7. VT-1 8. Virgin Road 9. VF-1A UN Headquarters Guard theme 10. VF-Orguss Valkyrie I know that there is no chance in hell frozen over that they would release this way but I like to dream. To increase the chances they could but out the standard versions as releases in between these. I would be blown away if they even release any of these other than the two seaters which seem to be inevitable. Out of the ones that I left out of the list that they will most likely do I look forward to Hikaru, Max and Milia VF-1J Supers. I just hope that they release the VF-1D first or at least in the first batch because that is the one that I am really longing for (aside from the VF-4 of course).
  14. HLJ has them and some photos. There are better photos out there. No time to find right now. Here is a link http://www.hlj.com/product/HAP81075
  15. So are those dark gray canon fodder mechs the VF-17 (or171) and the Other ones, the Skull looking one and the Hikaru looking one the VF-25s? Sorry if this has been covered already.
  16. I thought that it looked more like a birthmark than a birthbirk but that is just me.
  17. Also I have to contradict earlier post(s) and say that I love the Bandai Chunky Monkeys for what they are. When I was a child these were the ultimate toy! I still love them now as well but they are not high-tech or cutting-edge. And I know that Bandai makes other lines that are high-tech and cutting-edge.
  18. OK, that all sounds reasonable you guys. I hope that you are right. Sorry for being pessimistic everyone. And yeah, those Macross7 toys were not exactly what I would call cutting edge toys but I know it was a long time ago and I am totally willing to give them a chance. I really do hope that they make a kick ass Frontier line that will surprise me. Who knows maybe they will surprise us all and make something even more amazing than the Yamato valks. That would be sweet (and expensive!). So how long do you all think it will take? How long did it take from the airing of SDFM until the release of the Takatoku Valks? (Yes I know that was 25 years ago). Or between the airing of Macross Plus and the Yamato 1/72s? Come to think of it the game is totally different now and the variables are too great. I am going to predict a September release! By who? I do not know. I am guessing that we will know and have prototype photos by May.
  19. Birthmark Hypothesis.... Is that the Island of Maya on her leg? Is she related to the Nome family of the Mayan Islands? Am I just stupid? Someone let me know if this is a ridiculous guess.
  20. If Bandai does make the VF-25, what will it cost? Will it come with the fastpacks? How many Variations will they release? And when will they release it? All speculation I am sure but fun to ask! EDIT: Will they come with the armor or will the armor be separate and will they plan for the armor? That armored one in the first episode is fantastic looking!!!!
  21. Good points. I hope that you are correct. I would love to see a high quality mind blowing Macross Frontier Mecha line coming from Bandai. I hope that they do it and I hope they do so soon too! I love those mechs! However and regardless and other redundant terms, I (redundantly state that I ) would rather see Yamato do these (or do these in addition to Bandai) as they have done fantastic work on the Macross Zero and Plus as well as the VF-1s and these new mechs are synthesis of all those put together. i am sure that yamato would kick major ass on it. Also as stated previously it is likely that Bandai will have (or does have?) the major license for these mechs as they produced the show and also Yamato's new version of the VF-1s in 1/60 points to that they do not have (or can not get) the license. I hope that these are incorrect assumptions though.
  22. Welcome to the forums. If you read the whole thread you will see that most of us know that Bandai CAN make great toys as evidenced in the SOC's but their track history with Macross is that they do not deploy the care to macross as they do with others and they HAVE NOT historically done quality macross toys reglardless of their ability.
  23. I am not so sure... and what exactly do you mean "They just don't have the size to make any more high-end products."?
  24. Agreed. I am in love with this mecha. Kawamori at his best! Now lets see it Yamato!
  25. I have said it before and I will say it again, "I WANT YAMATO TO MAKE REGULTS!!!(1/60 would be GREAT!)"
