Sure.

Huh?

I may be up for a shot at that. I am a graphic designer. If you have something in mind then PM me about the type of style that you are looking for, the types of imagery that you want and pallet. If you are open to ideas then still PM me and let me know if you want me to do some mock ups!

Yes, I have been whining for almost a year now on these forums about wanting Yamato to make a Zentraedi "battle pod" Regult. I would want 1/60. 1/48 would be awesome but probably taller than the SV-51 and shelfs may suffer.

Interesting feedback so far. Yes it is a good point of course that they are variable, transformable, so you could change their stance but looking at a lot of member's collections (and my own) I have seen that a lot of people pose their valk in their favorite pose and leave it that way on display. I do love transforming them and posing them but when I get a pose that I really love, I like to keep it that way for a long time. Also, I cant seem to be able to transform them fast enough to be satisfied. I personally, if I could afford it, have 3 of a single variant to pose in all of its glory. Sure I would change the specifics of the poses every once and a while but I love being able to see all three modes at once. If I could afford it I would have 3 1/48 Milia valks to pose in all three modes. I may still yet. But when it comes down to it, with my limited budget I would generally prioritize getting variants or different mech before getting 3 of the same. However with the new 1/60 line coming out getting three of a kind is more possible if the price stays down and if they did offer three packs at a discount I would not be surprised if they were popular. Anyway, thanks for brining to my attention that it is an incomplete poll. Cool to hear people's feedback.

If I remember correctly, the colors varied especially in the max and milias. I prefer the Bandai reissue Milia color to the vintage. The vintage boxes rule though!
-
I love all three modes but I can not afford three of any variable fighter. Would a discount on three at a time be an incentive? How many of you would go for it?

I am actually very excited about these. I do plan to get the VF-11, the YF-19 and the YF-21 in the GNU series. I do not have the variable VF-11 or YF-19 and am glad that they are making these because I was only going to pose them in Battroid mode anyway and so it will be cheaper. I know that soooooo many members have complimented the 1/60 YF-19 extensively and I do want one and almost bought one several times but I have not been able to prioritize this. I think it will take my seeing one in person and actually transforming one and posing it for me to really need one. Most of the poses of the variable YF-19 in Battroid I am not so keen on. Yes there are some great ones in the pose gallery, ruskiiVFaussie has some great poses and I forget who, but someone posed it with a rum bottle that looked great and some others for sure and the Yamato ad pose looked great. If I could afford it for sure, I would get 3 of the 1/60 YF-19 with FP but for my budget I may just have to wait and get the GNU. Also, if the 1/60 variable VF-11 looks badd ass enough I will be tempted.

Sorry, never mind. i figured it out. No need to piss off >EXO<, sorry I did not give you the chance to bitch slap me publicly. For those people who are as stupid as me (shouldn't be too many - I hope not at least), FYI, on the link that says "Click here to manage this topic's poll, nest to poll options up there above the dialog box where you type in your posts, After typing in the poll title and adding a poll content, the poll content is where to put the question, then use the "add poll choice" button for the choices. Now writing this I understand what an incredible looser I am. The mistake I had made was putting the question as the poll title and the poll content boxes as the answers. That did not work.

OK, this moron has finally figured it out! I feel like a real lame ass. The poll is up. Now vote!
-
OK, I am almost figuring this out. Dont vote until I finish. I will post a yes when I am done. . .
-
Wait a minute! Mrryno, I just noticed that you started a thread that has a poll! You holding out on me? How did you do it?
-
They only appear when we are being naughty. scratch that. We are usually being naughty. I suppose that I could try to piss one of them off. I havent been bitch slapped by >EXO< lately, mabe I should see what topic he is in right now and provoke him.

How do I create a poll?
-
-
That is funny. I think it is almost true for me too. I spend more work time on MW than free time though.
-
Yeah, I started this topic and choose the poll options, filled them out and it looked like everything was going good but when I posted, nothing. Now when I go to the poll options it recognizes that I have made 3 categories but it does not list them? WTF? I R really integelent.
-
Dog Gamit! How do I get the poll working??? Someone help me!
-
I am guilty. Are you? Crap! Where's that poll I just created?! Hold on a minute..... OK, how do I make a poll? I thought I just did but it is not appearing! <Insert big looser face>

I am not directly in manufacturing but I am a lame ass who thinks that he is the master of everything (a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing). Actually I generally hate it when people who know very little make absolutist claims as if they were the authority on the topic when it was really just a hunch turned bad due to ego and stubbornness. That said, yes I am making invalid assumptions, but think of the overhead of a startup making detailed toys like this with a lot more diecast parts (the 1/72 and 1/60 gen1 lines) with a much smaller market and still getting by COMPARED to several years down the line with a hugely expanded market (no I am not a market analyst and do not have figures and am making assumptions), much less die cast, and the income from many repaints. I dont know , it just seems to me ( a hunch) that if they could charge $70 for the 1/60 line back then, they should be able to charge the same or less for the 1/48 line now. My opinion IS FACT right? Just kidding, just a hunch. Also, it is an incredible feat what they have done. Yamato has made many of our dreams come true! If you had asked me just after watching macross zero for the first time if I would pay $200 for a perfect transformation SV-51 nora type I would have said, " I will pay a limb for that gorgeous beast!". One of my good friends was in my office when my first 1/48 arrived. I showed it to him and was confessing how guilty I felt for paying $120 for it and he said, "I cant believe that they could make something so detailed and beautiful for so cheap!". It is all perspective when it comes to Willingness to pay. It would be interesting to see Yamatos finances but really, I dont care. I am happy to support them, even if they are making a killing off of me, if it means that their success will ensure a Macross F VF-25 super with armor. In 3 years down the line I may even be willing to pay an absurd fee for that. There is a balance though that has to be made, if the figures are too much money not enough people will buy them and or they will become more of an elitist item, and if the prices are too low, with their limited market (adult macross fan toy hobby collector geeks like me), no matter how low the price is they will not sell enough. I have a headache now and give up.

VERY FUNNY. I think we all think that way. I am a proud lover of half human half robot women. -
Macross World Con 2008 Tentative Dates
miriya replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
It is funny because I have not been to a convention since I was probably 14 years old. I used to attend the comic conventions in LA and the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors conventions. Last year I did not have much interest in the MW convention but this year I do want to attend. I think it would be fun to meet some of you psychotic freaks (and for you to meet me - a psychotic freak). Unfortunately I will not be able to confirm right now. I am looking to change jobs soon and living situation and have no idea where I will be or who I will be working for at that time. It is possible and I hope to be there (and bring as many girl friends as possible - dressed as milia - and of course my beer belly and a giant flask). -
OK so it was probably all the talk about dreams here yesterday but last night I had a dream that Bandai made the new VF-25 and it was indeed chunky monkey style but it was a little more refined than the old VF-1 and a lot better than those mac7 ones. Just thought I would share.
