I love the VF-1D. For the back graphics I sat in front of my mac cinema display watching SDFMacross episodes 1-3 and holding my camera for the key points of the VF-1D. Then I put them in photoshop and made this montage. I may use this on the back of the box but thought I may as well share this montage image with others so here you all go. . . Enjoy....

I am a bit more concerned about who they put in the two seats. That original VF-1D was a bit of a let down on the pilot front. Hopefully the V.2 1/60 VF-1D will come with Hikaru (in orange civilian flightsuit) and backseat Minmei to be anime accurate. The V.1 1/60 Ostrich was right on though with the pilot figures.

Of course you have the crazy poses too. Sorry to leave you out! There are a few members here who have pulled off some scary poses with the flexidisplay for sure. I love that one signiture pose you do ryno, what was it called? Victory stance or something?

Thanks for the compliment. I could design for 1/55 that would be fine. The question which is yet to be discovered is how expensive is this custom boxes project going to be? I still have not begun looking for a company that will print one off large scale on to cardboard and do not know what the printing costs will be. I am hoping to find a digital print company that will do this with little to no set up fee and no minimum orders. The second expense is my design time. This first project with Kicker773 is going to be the text run and we will see how feasible this is. If it is feasible and we find a company that can do a good job for cheap then I will open this up as a service. But until that time we really don't know. If you are cool to wait until we have a first run and get an idea for the costs then that is cool. If you are wanting something quicker and just want the design and will deal with the printing yourself then you could hire me to do the design and then just PM me and we can discuss details for that. LMK....

The Flexi display stands are awesome. You can get some really insane poses with them. Lost and Found toys sells them and they usually throw one in if you buy a valk from them. I have two of them personally and love them. ruskiiVFaussie got some gravity defying poses from his that really blow the mind. Highly recommended.

I am going to guess that if it is a KO, which is probably is as Jenius knows his stuff and has the Matchbox as well as the Taktatoku, that it still may be worth something. Looks like an intact sticker sheet and a box in good condition and the toy in good condition too. I am sure it is rare but in the KO world that doesnt get you very far all the time. I like that box. Cool design. I would be tempted to buy this if I was in the market. I already have my matchbox one and am happy with it. Are you going to sell it?

The takatoku one has missile launchers on the main cannons and off the legs I believe as well as Valkyrie launchers off of the arms with little valks that plug in. this one does not seem to have those so I am guessing either matchbox or KO. There should be a stamp on the bottom of the feet to tell you what company made them. I have never seen that box before.

It is probably a "garage kit" made in a very small batch. I am sure it is rare. But, yes, that is a LOT of money for a model kit.

I was cruzing evilbay and saw this zentraedi flagship resin model. It looks really nice. A bit on the pricey side but gorgeous. I would love to get one but not right now. If any of you modelling masters are interested take a look. Supposedly 19 inches long! It is ebay auction number 180213080210
