  1. Wow. I am going to have to watch mac+ again! I did not realize that. I do like John Lee Hooker too. I love his cameo in the Blues Brothers movie. Massive attack, Definitely. No need to be embarrassed, I have never heard of the Hip, Broken Social Scene, Feist, or Stereophonics. Although now I will have to check those out. Do like the kinks and the clash. I did forget to put classical and Punk in my list (I did not forget country - I just never got into that genre - there is some folk stuff that I can tolerate but overall it gets my aversion vote). I do love quite a bit of classical music and some of it I just do not dig at all. However most of it I do not know who the composer is. I do need to educate myself on this genre for sure. I do know that I like Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, and Brahms from what I have heard. Erick Satie (spelling) and John Cage too for more contemporary. As for Punk, Dead Kennedys and Crass.
  2. That is great! It makes me happy to hear this. Considering that art is so subjective, it is cool when people agree on liking something. Of course we probably all agree on the aesthetic beauty of Shoji Kawamori's designs, which (at least partly if not mostly) brings us to these forums. BTW I love the new mecha manual site. Such a great resource and with a great look too.
  3. I also have a wide variety of musical tastes: Meltrandi (Female Artists): Bjork, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Sinead O'Connor, Astrud Gilberto, Jesca Hoop, Regina Spektor, Lilly Allen.... Recommended Album: "Bjork - Homogenic." Reggae: (of course) Bob Marley, Lee Skratch Perry, Scientist, Mad Professor, Absynians, the Congos, Israel Vibration, Burning Spear, Misty in Roots... Recommended Album: "Bob Marley - Survival" Jazz: (of course) Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Sun Ra, Modern Jazz Quartet, Recommended Album: "Miles Davis - In A silent Way" Soul/Funk: in addition to Aretha Franklin and Roberta flack mentioned above, Cymande, Sly and the Family Stone, Funkadelic, Ray Charles, James Brown, Stevie Wonder... Recommended Album: "Stevie Wonder - Innervisions" Electronica: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Boards of Canada, autechra... Recommended Album: "Squarepusher - Big Loada" Blues: Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson, Skip James... Recommended Album: "Howlin Wolf - the real Folk Blues" Rock&Pop: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, mahavishnu orchestra , the Police, Radiohead, Woven.... Recommended Album: (Since you all are most likely familiar with this genre I will recommend something you probably have not heard) "WOVEN - 8 bit monk" Metal: Metallica. Recommended Album: "Metallica - And justice for all"

  11. Great thread and great photos. Thanks guys!
  12. I think that the armored VF-25 is one of the most aesthetically beautiful valks ever designed. And I am an artist and graphic designer. But of course art is subjective. I cant wait to get one (or three) of these in my collection!
  13. I know. Those pics are making me thirsty!
  14. ruskiiVFaussie, I am always inspired by your sweet displays. It was seeing your insane display that made me appreciate the busy but elegant style of displaying the figures and why I allowed myself to try it too. (Also, I just did not have enough room for a spacious minimal display!). Great pic.
  15. WickedAce, I have to say that the poses on top of the pint glass are AWESOME!!!! What a fantastic display. And it gives you an excuse to refill the glass "for authentic look" at least once every 20 minutes or so. Good for everyone really!
  16. 1/60 regults by yamato would be ultimate awesome!
  17. The wings on the back that go up.
  18. But dont you want a Regult army? I have not bough multiples of anything (except for the purpose of kitbashing) but I just can't wait to have a whole flock of menacing regults to put in my macross display. Thinking of having just one regult makes me thing of the sad lonely thing with great concern Edited for grammeer.
  19. Sorry, my 200 thing was hypothetical.
  20. Thanks for the info. I do not know why they dont mass produce it. I understand the need to only sell it retail directly instead of through distributors at wholesale in order to cover their extra costs for weathering but then the question is, "Why limit it?". Maybe they are weathered by hand and whoever is doing it was like, "Yo, I can only weather like 200 of these puppies before my hands fall off!". I dont have any idea really!
  21. Great! So What does it say?
  22. OMFG!!!!! That diorama just got 1000 times cooler! I am in love! You Rock man!!! EDIT: Oh, By the way, can we get one more shot pulled back all the way so that we can see where the diorama ends?
  23. Those trees look awesome! Gives a diorama look! How do you like ACH? Why isnt she on her ride armor too?
  24. Thanks for clarifying. True about the backside. I am glad that I only ordered one of these. Hopefully the Beagle will look better!
