RON5865 Diorama....

So when I saw RON5864's post of his Destroid kit (which is gorgeous) LINKY I had asked him what was in the background. Of course it was his scratch built macross maintenance bay which is fantastic. So I PMed him and asked if he would consider doing a commission for me. Ever since I was a kid watching Robotech and I first saw the Robotech Factory model kit I have wanted something like this. Of course I wanted this one to house my 1/48 Yammies with my hasegawa ground crew. So I PMed RON5864 with my specifications as I wanted to have a 1/48 armored valk in the gantry bay so it needed to be wide enough. I photoshopped up a mock up by altering his original diorama. RON5864 was very obliging and and happy to build it up for me. In this thread i will post the photos that he emailed me along the way for your viewing enjoyment. I also want to honor his craftsmanship and modeling skills by sharing his works with you here. I am very grateful to RON5864 for being so kind as to make my dream diorama come true. If it meant getting a 1/60 perfect transformation Macross Frontier Luca Recon VF-25 Super then yes. However it would be very exhausting for sure and I would need to have an immediate cheezeburger and beer to replenish the chi (Qi) afterwards.

I think I need me a 1/48 Max 1-J (I know I do)! I also need me some more $$$. I just dont know what to do when Bandai releases the 1/60 frontiers too and the 1/60 V.2 yamatos are out. Then whatever other merchandise poures out of the Frontier licences. Time to sell blood and sperm again!

I am glad that they are releasing these with fast packs. I hope that they will also release a fast packs only set to add to our valks that did not get them last time. I would really like a set of booby ducks for my Bandai 1/55 Cannon Fodder and do not want to have to buy another super valk just for the FP. I wonder if they will release the M&Ms with colored FP? That would be smart. Also it would be really cool if they were to release some non-cannon color schemes too. Of course only after releasing the Ostrich, Elintseeker, and Strike Valk.

We are so insanely fortunate to be getting these subs so quickly. Whoever you are, thank you. I am especially loving the AiA I-Z subs. Please keep up the great work.

Does anyone use a mac? I did have a little bit of trouble with the gattai mkv on the VLC with the subs getting all garbled up one word on top of the other and then some video jittering. Anyone with a mac know of a good way to watch the mkv files?

Just watched 04 and this show keeps getting better. When I heard that there was going to be a new macross series I was happy for sure but I never thought it would be this great! It is truly a dream come true! And it makes me that much more grateful about MacrossWorldForums because i would not have known about it otherwise and would not have been able to figure out how to watch it either. Thank you everyone, I have to go burry my face in a pillow and cry tears of joy! Oh, and the Meltraendi babes! What a gas!

Congrats on the Hikaru VF-1J with TV Fastpacks set! That is the one 1/48 valk that I desire the most right now. Those are hard to find these days!

That Gurren Lagaan Figure from Konami is already discontinued IIRC. It was part of their MMS line right? I wish Revoltech did a Fraulein Yoko though. That would be awesome. I found the Konami to have a strangely long torso and imperfect proportions. EDIT: OK, I am a bit dull (or just a stupid Douchebagg). So I should have just read a few lines back. I am very excited that there will be a Yoko Fraulein! Definite preorder for me. Maybe two (one for valk girl mod!)

Thanks for the link! That is awesome. I just emailed them to ask about the custom box and where they got it printed. Maybe with some luck I can finally produce Kicker773's custom Yamato 1/48 VF-1D box afterall!
