The title of this thread almost makes me want to weep.

Really cute model but for $50 including shipping it is a bit too much for a 4inch model. Almost bought it though.
-
That looks freaking awesome! I hope it actually does come out!

I got the first kit because I did not want to miss out. Unfortunately I did end up missing out on the pilot fig though I guess I could have gotten that release too. It is a great little kit aside from the fact that the canopy does not close all the way.

Yamato 1/3000 SDF-1 modification and paint up...
miriya replied to wm cheng's topic in The Workshop!
That is just disgustingly sick! (in the good way of course) -
Amazing work as always!

This massive Regult is gorgeous!

What? Is this a kit that is going to be released or a custom that someone did? 1/100 is too small for a transforming durundal valk it seems. I have the figher kit and it is not large.

Great tips!

NorCal MW meetups 2012

Where is the venue and how much are tickets? -
Call me a wuss but I use tamiya sprays almost exclusively for my models and then gundam markers and tamiya weathering "makeup" finished with tamiya flat clear spray. Really sad how difficult it is to get the tamiya sprays right now though.

There are fit issues with the canopy. Out of the box it does not close all the way. some sort of modification is necessary. Try to sort that out with your planning. For me I did not realize it until everything was all painted up and glued together so I just glued the canopy closed. Mine was the first run with no stand and no pilot. I thoroughly enjoyed building it though and custom fit landing gear that looks pretty decent.

messy mecha nosebleed! These photos make me want this more than I previously lusted for such sweet angular plastic. I hope there will be a second release.

MacrossWorld Convention 2012 Information Thread
miriya replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
If it is August 25th I will most likely be able to make it. I would love it if we could do another 1/55 transforming contest. That was too much fun! -
Welcome to macrossworld. Good start on your model. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures. Please do post them when you have them. Is this a kit that you will be producing?

Just today I was wishing that there was a Macross Zero Dub so that I could show it to my boy (who is still just learning to read). If anyone knows of one please message me. Thanks.

When the control station and seats are ready I want a set for sure.

It seems that the last run of 1/55 reissues must have done well as they sold out rather quickly. They are a perennial WIN, people always come back to them, or want to get a few for nostalgic reasons, or to play with or for their kids. In my opinion the 1/55 valkyrie is the best toy ever made. Yes the yamatos are more poseable and the sculpts are much better and they have pilots and gimmicks but the chunky monkeys have insane durability and playability. Anyway I think that there will always be a draw for them and seeing how the last "origin of valkyrie" run seemed to do well they should just continue reissuing them. Plus they have never reissued the Ostrich or Elintseeker or the Strike and I think that they really should. I would love to see those be reissued and like I said before the VF-1D. But even if they just re-released their same old VF-1AJS as usual, that would do well. I wish they did not wait so long between reissues of these. And finally I think bandai should sell the 1/55 fast packs as a separate add on in at least two different colors. Looking at how Takara does the encore line (which I think is awesome - I love the nostalgia factor) I think it would be awesome if Bandai did a Jetfire reissue.

Why don't Yamato makes Mospeada Toys?
miriya replied to Agent-GHQ's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I would buy at least one in the rain, and in the dark, on a train, in a car, in a tree, it would be so good, so good you see! So I will buy one in a box, and with a fox, and in a house, and with a mouse. I will buy them here and there. Say! I would buy them anywhere!
