There is a transforming wall-e toy but its proportions are not great. It would be cool if the Ultimate one did transform. I agree that it is one of the best sci-fi movies in a long time, maybe ever.

If I were to get only one yamato valk it would have to be either the 1/48 Milia super or the 1/60 VF-0A with Ghost. Of course I do have both of those already. I love them so much! I cant stop staring at them.

I dont know. Pesonally, I am happy that they made the box smaller than the 1/48 boxes but as for design, I am not loving this box. The GNU boxes were designed nicely though.

Good point and true but even within yamato's 1/60 scale there is some discrepancy. Place your V.1 1/60 VF-1 pilots next to your VF-0, YF-19, YF-21 and SV-51 pilots too. All same scale but different in size.

I just watched Macross Frontier Episode 12 last night and Ranka looks great in that flightsuit! Cool helmet too. So now of course I really want a Ranka in flightsuit figure. How bout a whole series of Macross girls in flightsuits? If there is such thing as a flightsuit fetish I think I have it. Oh yeah and of course Komilia in flightsuit has to be added to the list above.

This puppy is BEGGING for side parts. That gap is too much! Anyway that last pic, the pose suffers which contributes to the erky feelings I bet. The pose that I want to see is the new V.2 1/60 with fp in flying half gerwalk (arms still in) as a side view. Like this...

Oh my, that would be fantastic. With all the little figures, Gloval, Claudia, Misa, the brige bunnies, even just that one portion of it would not be too big if you did not include the whole "head" part.

I get very emotional too with macross. It brings me back to when I was 9 years old and running home to catch the next episode of Robotech. But not only that it also congures up a gigantic load of emotions that I have collected in this life from my first heartbreak to my son's birth and the mecha oh the mecha. Macross embodies and epitomises my love for technology and sci-fi and toy collecting at that. I could go on but I have to run. Oh, last thing is that I almost cried when I watched SDFM the last time.

I hope that they produce all the macross ladies. Top of my list would be: Milia Zentraedi Flightsuit Misa flightsuit Laplamiz Claudia non-micloned Klan Klan Sharon Apple Nanase Ranka Those would be my top choices. Why? Why has nobody ever made a Laplamiz figure or model or kitbash or anything? She is a great character and very sexy (IMHO). And there is only one Claudia (that I know of) that banpresto one, which is OK but a nicer sculpt would be cool.

Scale especially matters with dioramas. My 1/48 macross factory (thanks again RON5864) houses two 1/48 VF-1 valks, a 1/48 hasegawa ground crew set and even a 1/48 office desk and chair that I got on ebay. It all fits together nicely and looks like an accurate miniature.

Is the Kit confirmed definite? I am tempted to pick up an angel birds for it. However, even if I do pick up a 1/48 angel birds, get the NMB4M kit, all the paint, decals, and do all the work, which would take me an eon, I would still want this V.2 1/60 version as well. The other route would be to see if Kurt or Jung could do the custom for me once I have the birds and the kit but that would run me a (well earned and worthy) pretty penny. In any case I will be getting the v.2 1/60 VF-1D for instant gratification. It is going to be diorama time once these come in. I wonder if RON5864 will demolish one of the buildings in his macross city diorama for the VF-1D?

It is true. I tried to make a Hikaru in fight suit by decapitating an extra CMS roy and putting the head from the picture frame Hikaru on to the Roy body. Alone it looked alright but next to another (non altered) Roy, it looks silly. Hikaru should be much shorter than Roy.

Well I have noticed a general steady increase in 1/8 scale figures lately. When I paid $60 shipped for my Ignis figure a year ago I felt violated. Last month I spent $80 shipped for a Needa figure and felt even worse. Some of the figures that I am interested in that are just up for preorder are ranging $80 - $120. It is getting out of control. If the price is too high on this I will be passing. I just can not afford this hobby lately.
