  1. I preffer the yellow that appears on the chest and tail fins to the shoulder and head. If the chest was that bright (yuky) yellow then I would hate it. I always preffer the righer almost orangeish tangerine side of yellow as opposed to the light pastelish side.
  2. I hope that the fixes are all in place for the VF-1D! and that it includes VF-1D colored side parts, Hikaru pilot in civilian flightsuit, minmei in red dress, elevator cockpit, and a flying through the air minmey that can hold on to the fueselage.
  3. Also there is some cool stuff in the "Forces of Valor" series in 1/48 although they have more in 1/72.
  4. I love your avatar!
  5. An email that I wrote to Macrossman and have been forwarding to members here and there.... OK, so the kit I have is the "Hasegawa 1/48 Ground Crew Set A" and is regularly available on ebay auctions as well as most hobby shops/sites. The one that I got, I got pre painted or "built" as they say, on an ebay auction. There are several sellers that regularly sell "built" 1/48 crew including ebay member "falconx58" who sells really high quality figures but not cheap. You could get the hasegawa kit and build it yourself and one member here, winterdyne, has a step by step on how to do it yourself which is HERE. Also there are other Hasegawa 1/48 crew sets that are readily available including set B, carrier set, pilot set, etc. There are a lot of model kits in 1/48 which is great for making dioramas. http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM32557 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM32547 http://www.hlj.com/product/ADL48F03 http://www.hlj.com/product/ADL48F11 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGX48-12 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM32548 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM89768 http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS09097 http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT75246 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM89767 And as far as where to get paints you can get them from Tamiya US at their site http://www.tamiyausa.com and they also sell all kinds of supplies. I am pretty much new to the model kit hobby coming over from the toy hobby, which I am still very much a collector. Winterdyne and many other members on the site have great step by step tutorials which are very informative. Another one is WM Cheng who has some great stuff HERE . And there are more 1/48 kits: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32502 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32534 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32533 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32530 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32526 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32521 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32514 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32557 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32547 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32512 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32509 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32552 http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=32508 And that is just the beginning. There is a lot of great stuff. If you want to take a shot at putting the models together I would encourage you but being a father myself I know how precious and short time is so you could always commission someone to do it for you. You may be able to get some modelers here on the forum to commission stuff for you and/or you could try to commisssion from an outside source. There is a list HERE on starship modelers site. I hope this helps. ADDITION: also there are items in 1/43 scale that are close and in train language O scale and in architecht language 1/4. Poke around and you will find stuff.
  6. It will be interesting to have a poll in a few weeks to see the precentage rate of members who have the new V.2 1/60 VF-1S that have problems. So far the precentage is high but it may be in the numbers.
  7. That is really sweet! You are lucky. I need to get me a girlfriend who will dress up like milia.
  8. If three out of those then 1/48 Roy, 1/60 Vf-0Swith booster, and YF-19 with Fp and booster (fixes). IF only one then from that list I would go 1/60 VF-0S with booster. It is such an elegant design and fun to play with. Just gorgeous thing that is.
  9. WTF?!!!!! SDFMacross in gerwalk? For real? Is that an official sketch or a fan art thing?
  10. That is really cool. And so cute!
  11. I can not even get MPEG streamclip to convert these, nor compressor, nor anything in final cut studio. I was able to get something on "burn" but it took a long time to convert and then the widescreen was chopped and of course lost the subs on either side. I would like to know too. I may try canopus on my pc if I have to.
  12. OT, but... mr.chogokin, what Gurren Lagaann figure is that in your avatar? I need one!
  13. Can someone who has one of these babies post a specific pose for me? I want to see how this New V.2 1/60 VF-1S looks in the pose like the pic I am attaching here....
  14. Oh yeah! Edit: that means I am in. ie. I will commit to buy one.
  15. Thanks for posting the pics. I am sorry that I missed it. I HAVE to make it next year. Thanks everyone.
  16. Awesome! Great work!
  17. I love this new valk and think it looks fantastic but I do have one aesthetic gripe and that is that I think the legs (sans fastpacks) look too skinny (the part below the knees). But still I will be getting some of these regardless of that. It really poses well and looks great otherwise.
  18. Any news on this V.2 1/60 VF-1D? It is confirmed to be happening right? Graham? Is it still on? Release date? Anything?
  19. Great review Graham. I love this new valk. You got some great poses in there. Thanks.
  20. I love that custom paint job!
  21. Holy crap! That is absolutely insane! you are insane! 199 photos with all that posing? This is an epic work my friend! Great job!

    Macross Revoltech

Thanks. Yeah, she doesnt stand anymore and needs to be on a stand. Plus the missile holders are starting to sag. I am curious how long it will take before they completely sag down. It will be an experiement. Those revoltechs are made of soft stuff. I know after cutting one up with a knife (Rei/VF-1S).
