  3. Well. I already preordered from Lost and Found toys and I like Carlos as he is great with customer service so I do not think it would be cool to cancel my preorder with him but I was tempted to order a second one at HLJ! That would be stupid obsessive. Anyway I think that if I order SAL at HLJ it would probably arrive around the same time as from LOS and is about the same price. Thanks for the heads up about the early bird. It is a good deal. Just also wanted to mention that when I ordered my Mospeada ride armor from LOS and it arrived to me with parts missing from the package, I contacted him and he got the extra parts for me. And really quick too. That is the type of care that makes me want to keep ordering with him.
  4. Which is that? Looks great. I wonder why they still have not made the armor for the VF-0S? I would guess that would come out before the VF-11 armor.
  5. That is aswesome! I think the same thing whenever I see a yellow camero!
  6. Thanks cap. I have wanted to make a diorama of this scene for a while.
  7. Thanks for the idea. THat is an interesting idea but I have a feeling that paint chipping is going to be an unending event. Now that I have gone online and resaerched a bit, confirming that both Fusion paint (when dry) and Future are non-toxic, now I feel safe letting him play with it.
  8. I wonder if I got a second one I could kitbash to make this....

  11. It looks amazing. I am wondering if I will need two of these?
  12. OK, My son will get this tonight. THanks everyone.

  14. Well Crap! I just looked on the Krylon website and it says that all their paints are non-toxic when dry. So does that mean that the carcinogen warning was for the wet paint? I will assume so for now.
  15. Thanks for your input Ry. It is a good point. He has been very patient with me doing the custom. He keeps saying, "it is a long process. Right dadda?" But I do not think he will totally understand. I mean he knows what toxic means and he will probably get it intellectually but he will probably be really pissed off if I tell him that I am sorry but he cant have it now. In terms of telling him that I have to fix it, that may become problematic because I dont think that there is anything I can do at this point other than just caugh up the dough and get him a 1/55 milia (too bad yours is not for sale now!).
  16. Ya think so? I mean I put so much time and work into this and I know that he really wants it so I want to give it to him but I also do not want to give him cancer. I just picked this thing up and there are little bits of paint chips sort of appearing constantly (probably from the insides too) and I dont want that poo getting blown into his eyes, nose, or mouth or having the bits that come off of it and on to the ground be picked up when he is rolling all over the floor like kids do too. You think I am being overly protective?
  17. Well now I am thinking that I probably cant/shouldnt give this to my son afterall. It should have been obvious that the paint would be toxic and maybe the future too but I just read the paint can which states that the product contains chemicals known to the state of california to cause cancer. And with this thing chipping like crazy I dont want to expose him to this. I could not find anything on the future bottle about toxicity so I am not sure about that too. So now what do I do? He knows that I am doing this project for him. He has seen the progress. He has not seen it finished yet and I think that I should show it to him. But he will be very sad if I tell him that he can not have it because it is too toxic. I dont have the time(=money) to srip the paint off of this now to give back to him. Any ideas?
  18. People should not toss around the phrase, "chemically bonding" casually. When I hear "Chemically bonding" I think of superglue and this poo is not like superglue at all.
  19. Yeah, the kind I used was Krylon Fusion for Plastics which states that it chemically bonds to the plastic preventing chipping. Also I cleaned all the pieces with soap and water and let them dry before applying the multiple coats. Finally I dipped each piece in Future and let dry. and did that future dipping a second time as well. Next time it is automotive enamel for sure!
  20. NO, not yet but the box should look something like this.... VF-1D custom box for Kicker773
  21. No. I have registered twice before the hack. So I guess I will register again now. Thanks.
  22. Crap. I cant get into samurai monkey again. I am considering making my third account there as I am unable to log in with the first two.
  23. The 1/48 Milia VF-1J by Yamato is probably my favorite toy of all time. Definitely worth the $200 or whatever.
