YES!!!! Yamato, make Hikaru's Fan Jet!!! Make it in 1/48 or 1/60 scale with a hikaru civilian flightsuit pilot, opening cockpit and a minmei that sits on his lap along with a giant Maguro!!!! That would be sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please yamato? Who else wants one of those?

Interesting how the last three posters here all have custom titles. Ryan's keeps changing I noticed. But on topic, I am having a real hard time waiting for the VF-1J hikaru to come out as that was going to be my first purchase of this line followed by the VF-1D. But That VF-1A Hikaru is looking so nice I may get itchy trigger finger. It is really hard to hold out. I am even considering getting it and then selling it once the 1J comes out. Is that a stupid idea?

I think it is a great idea Graham. I really love the GN-U line so far. I am however a "Battroid Guy" but I do still love fighter mode and would love a GN-U line of fighters just as you have mentioned. YF-19/21, VF-4, VF-9, yes. Enemy mecha as well for sure.

Is this really the final color? I almost bought this earlier today as the pic on HLJ is showing a light grey that I like but this green is not something that I like. Can someone confirm?

From these final photos I have to say I am incredibly impressed with what Bandai has pulled off with this model. I love it.

Yes! I would love one. The question for me will be which one will look best in battroid and whcih one in Fighter because I love both for this bird and if that means getting one 1/60 or 1/100 for fighter and one 1/72 model for battroid then so be it.
