Thanks for the review. Very cool. I just can not get past the green fast packs. I almost bought this a few weeks ago and did not do so because of the green parts. If it was grey or gray or blueish gray or even blue I would have gotten it but green?!?!?! I actually do like the box art a bit too. Not the best but good.

Funny because the lower legs on the 1/60 are what bother me most and I love the lower legs on the 1/48.

Sorry if it is already on this thread, and I may have already forgot.... but.... Are they going to make Super parts as an add on for this kit and or a super version? And are they going to make a Luca Recon Version? I want super parts for my alto kit (posed in battroid) and a luca super recon (for fighter mode). Then I would be pretty much set up until there is an Ozma Armored version. Those three and I am totally set. (Until they make the Vajra. Then I will be set until they make a Macross Quarter. Then I will be set until they make everything in the macross universe including the lancer, comanchero, VF-4, Hikaru Fan jet, Misa flightsuit and all the other stuff they will never make.)

I think I will cancel my preorder for alto's DX. Especially since the model looks so good. I will probably also get Ozma's 1/72 kit and hopefully they will make the supers and armors and the recon Luca version too in that line as I am giving up all hope for the 1/60 DX line now. It is looking cheap, with bad proportions, and uneven fits. Too bad.

I got the wash in the mail and am going to test it out on my bandai Glaug this week so as to get a feeling for it before doing it to the messiah. Gonna, paint it on, wait 20 minutes, rub it off (leaving only in the lines) and then clear coats on top to seal it in, all on the sprues. Then I am going to clip the bits off the sprues, sand down the sprue bits, and assemble. I will try to take some pics along the way to post. Thanks David for the heads up on this.

I feel stupid for answering this as I asked the same question several months ago but if you have seen Do You Remember Love then you have heard it. My version of DYRL translates it as "unthinkable". Some translate it as impossible. Some sort of ineffiablility. Like holy $hit! or Oh my god! something like that. And also a reference to the Zentraedi's revultion to culture. It does appear sporadically in the macross universe. I just thought it was insane how he got the detail in that tiny model.

I hope to get a payment request from HLJ tomorrow!!!! The box art rocks. worthy of display IMO. This is by far the most excited I have ever been for a model kit. Considering that I have only ever completed one kit (so far - others are in the works - slowly) it may not seem like much. I do plan to complete this kit as fast as possible while still making it look good. Gonna apply the weathering wash to the pieces still on the sprues. QUESTION: If I am not painting it do I still need to wash off the mold release with soap and water before I apply the weathering wash and the gundam markers or is it good to go as is? Anyone?

awe shucks...... It is true. There are so many extraordinarily skilled members on the macrossworld forums, it is insane. From modelling experts, customizers, kitbashers, CGI artists, Photographers, Pose-masters (you know who you are), Sculpters, costume designers, writers, to programmers. Really a lot of talent. We could start a production company. Make our own macrossworld.
