MacrossWorld Convention 2013 Information Thread
vfxraven19 replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I know I haven't been active in the forums in a very long time, but glad to say that I will be attending this year's MWCon with my wife. Hopefully my brother and his wife register in time. To all who could make this happen, thank you! -
Thanks for the translation! I just got the game yesterday and started playing for a bit too. So far I am liking it as well as the controls.

Where's our PS Vita Macross game or mobile Macross games?
vfxraven19 replied to Graham's topic in Games
Late reply, but I actually bought the imported Gundam Seed Battle Destiny. I like it a lot, and if Artdink/Bandai can bring out a portable Macross game that would be awesome. Oh yeah, I've heard of Assault Gunners. I have Destroy Gunners on my android tablet and android phone. -

I've had my VIta since the Feb 15th launch, I love it so far. I am looking forward to importing any kind of Gundam or Macross game. Heck, even an Armored Core game! -
Finally had time to pick this up and play. Not bad at all. I'm really glad they included 'realistic' flight controls, makes it much more enjoyable when playing. Pretty sweet game.
-
Seriously, I want the plane controls like Ace Combat X, especially the chase camera (because it sucks right now). If they could mimic PS2's SDF Macross, that would be sweet.

I'm trying to retouch the Vahalla III emblem and plan on getting that inked on.

Macross Ace Frontier for the PSP.
vfxraven19 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I had a chance to play this over the week, not too bad and fun to play! My only issue is the flight mechanics... should have been like a flight sim/arcade, especially with the lack of camera movement/adjustment while flying. -
So, I got a tattoo this past weekend. I was in dire need of the VF-X Ravens logo because I love the look of the entire emblem. "Grapetang" pointed me in the right direction concerning the emblem so I resized/printed it out and had my friend's recommended tattoo parlor ink it out on my right/back shoulder area. And my name being vfxraven19, I thought it was totally appropriate to ink this emblem on myself, haha! This was my first tat, and I do plan to expand to my upper arm area later...

OMG! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I am looking for a bigger image of the Macross VFX2 "Ravens" logo with the bird/red background. Does anyone happen to have it? Please let me know, and thank you.

Macross Ace Frontier for the PSP.

I custom firmware'd my 1st gen PSP, and it's been working like a champ. I have friends who have the Slim who I helped install the custom firmware using a self-modded pandora battery and magic mem stick. It's quite simple... And even a lot easier if you have a friend that has their PSP modded already. -
AC is crazy in terms of mech customization. I have 2 of the models and it's even cool how parts are interchangeable. I'm glad to see AC:For Answer is making its way stateside by Ubisoft. The ginormous battle fortress mechs are crazy!

I'm with you about the flight-mechanics on this game... as mentioned before it'll be very generic, just like flying Mu La Flaga's mobile armor or even Aegis Gundam in the Seed games... I do hope Namco/Bandai do something... we can only dream for now... -
Macross Ace Frontier for the PSP.
vfxraven19 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It will play very similar to the PSP Gundam games, so the flight will NOT be like a simulator (aka PS2 SDF Macross). Essentially the Gundam engine with Macross slapped on to it. Flying is very generic in these games (especially when experiencing it in a Gundam PSP game w/ a variable Gundam). I am sure the on foot battling will be nice though. -
Macross Ace Frontier for the PSP.

Looks like it plays exactly like Gundam Battle Tactics, etc... I was doubting it would play like SDF Macross for PS2, but wished it did (looking for more of a flight sim/arcade flying). But I'm sure it'll play fine since I am used to the Gundam games on PSP. -

Nice to see Macross making it's way on to the PSP (next PS3 or 360?). Artdink does an ok job, I enjoyed playing Gundam Battle Tactics and Chronicles. Hopefully it controls similar to SDF-Macross for PS2. -
I hope there's a Macross Frontier game (whether it be PS3 or 360) in the works somewhere, by Sega AM2
-
I'd like to see a new Macross game, no more Robotech. It would be nice if they did make it for PS3/Xbox360, maybe the Macross Frontier universe? Haha, even if they re-did the Macross PS2 game for PS3 (and added a lot more stuff), I would be happy. From Software, Sega AM2 and Namco (Project Aces) need to team up.

Kotobukiya Armored Core 1/72 Kits.
vfxraven19 replied to Retracting Head Ter Ter's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
These kits are really great. I have 2 of them (1 actually built), tons of detail and great articulation. I want to buy the Aliyah Kit (the AC4 core). -

Ace Combat 6:Skies of Liberation for XBOX360!
vfxraven19 replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Most likely of a PS3 port, they'll probably call it Ace Combat 7 (just like RR6 for 360, then RR7 for PS3) -
Graphics? It kind of depends on the game you play if its both offered on PS3 and 360. But visuals are pretty sweet and playing on any Hi-Def monitor makes it even better. Controllers are activated via the PS button in the middle, and comes with a USB cable to charge them. They are awfully light, hopefully we can see a Sixaxis 2 w/ rumble support soon. I got my system at launch, bumped the 20GB to a 120GB hard drive and it's been working since (knocks on wood).
