Welcome!!! Buy any Yamato 1/48. You WILL love IT! ViC!
-
I got two. The original, which is intact (transformed 10 times at least), and the FP(transformed once) I personally prefer the new ver. The FP ver. had a Isamu little pilot, a "smarter" heat shield, and stroger hips. The Fast Packs are a bit small, but hey aren't we always wishing for something bigger? Vic! Buy it! If you don't want it, sell it. I'm sure someone here on MW could use one.

Man, I think sometimes the price is based on the amount of people that will buy the product. I guess to make a good profit, Yamato has to make sure that a certain numbers of fans buy the product to make a profit. That may make no sense, but I gues it kind of guaranties a profit on a smaller market with an especific target(macross). Anyway, If I got the money, I'll buy it. This thing is unique, and I kept all my 1/60's. I'll give my 1/48s a break, and display some 1/60s. Can't wait for the GBP! Vic.

Official release of Hasbor's Alternators

BINGO!!!! Score 2 smokescreens this morning!!! Houston, TX at the Westheimer/wilcrest Target store. They were only two of them, and my roomate that was with me, snatched one of them. I was going to buy the two of them, in case any of you MWers wanted one, oh well. Here is my review: Details:95% Quality: 95% Dieacast content:0% Entertainment value: 100% Easy transformation:25% I think the rear doors "fitting" should be a little more flush with the frame of the car. Overall, I like it a lot, it is like a dream come true, and for the price, even though I like diecast content,I really don't mind having the no diecast version. It's kinda' like a 1/48 I've got the Takara 20th Optimus, and I love how brutaly heavy it is. I also like how the transformation takes place. I think for a $20.00 toy, Smokescreen is the best that can ever happen to any Transformers collector. Myself, I now "only" collect Macross, and that's why I'm getting the american versions of the Alternators. If Takara makes a Megatron or a Starscream, I may also get those imported from Japan. I don't really think TRU will sell a new kick@$$ reallistic version of a gun that transforms. Or probably they would paint the barrel in red color? Bottom line, I'm satisfied! VIC Now, have anybody seen Sideswipe? -

Get the satnds @ the www.Valkyrie-Exchange.com, you'll get them really, really fast. I have not yet personally tried Twin Moons, but I've heard they're good too. So far Kevin at the V-E is extremely reliable, and I trust him with my eyes closed. Vic

189.00 shipped, and got it super quick, maybe before most of the people around here! I don't mind paying the little extra. The seller is MW member, honest, fast, and has great communication skills. Thanks K! Vic!

Actually, try looking at the picture TOP first and then travel down. The stars are aligned to the upper part of the pic. Man this is so much fun! Vic!

Well, that's just motion blur, and I didn't get fancy with it. I was showing a frienfd o'mione what he could do with Photoshop in about 5 minutes. In other words, it is a quickie! And yes you're totally right. If I'd really took the time, I would actually made the "star movement" in a 3D manner. Still the "camera angle" will ultimately determine the exact direction the stars appear to be moving in the shot. Hope you liked it. Vic
