1. You're lucky, mine was just broken
2. This one time at Van Camp.. Game Stop, there was a guy asking about the MPC. I patiently waited until I got the chance to talk to the guy. I tried to hint them about Macross/Yamato stuff, and the guy just ignored me He looked at me like I was crazy Macross??? Huh?
3. Got mine today from twinmoons. The right rudder is missing the little antena Man, I got 2 out of three. I have not taken them out of the box, so I don't know if there is anything else wrong with them. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose... At least one of the three AFAIK is in near perfect condition.
4. I have to take that thing out of the package
5. Ooops, 1/48 shot!
6. and another... Ahhh, if I was if I was inside the cockpit of that VT, I would be able to see Miria standing right there! bigellpssssie!
7. Here is the scale comparison. All of the elements in this picture are 1/60 scale. This is part of my humble display
8. Here is an update. Not much, just my 1:72 scale Yamato pics.
9. The VF-17 can do spread legs? That's new to me. Thankfully the elbow joint is rachetted....and strangely so is the swivel joint on the hands. The bicep joint looks easy enough to dismantle to insert a piece of paper or nail polish in between the joints...but the knees will be a little tricky...unless i wanna be lazy and just smudge nail polish in between the knees without dismantling it. 398002 The legs rotate, so the can be posed further apart while in the G mode. They do not spread, they rotate. Hope this helps...
10. I'm personally Ok with the feet not clicking into the extended position. The feet do their work perfectly, IMO. I'm glad I didn;t oreder from just one supplier. Hopefully my two other Zero will arrive safely, complete, QC problem free, and in one piece. MMMmmm, Am I asking for too much?
11. Listen to this man! That's right! People see mi pictures and they ask: What camera do you have? But the question should be: What kind of lighting did you use? Proper lighting + Good camera angles = Good stuff
12. Actually, that piece of plastic has some sort of a vertical pivot, and it makes it possible to accomodate that angle while it rests in the B or G modes. This piece attaches to the shoulder joint and it is stored underneath the metal "swing" bar in the F mode position. I think this does not really bends, since in the F mode position this pieces look totally flat. The Zero is actually sturdier than what I initially though, and Graham also mentioned it in another thread. I love this thing!
13. OMG!, I finally learned & understood how to transform the 1/60 Zreo. I think this is the best transforming figther ever! I believe toy is not a word for this 1/60. The 1/60 scale yamato VF-0S is the best transformer ever! Best gimmicks ever in a toy replica. I'm not afraid anymore. I understand how it works, and now is like butter in my hands. Transformation in my opinion is superior compared to the 1/48 in my opinion(you feeeeel me Graham:)) Even the vent covers for the intakes are sculpted in the open position, while this is just a sticker in the 1/48. Wow, I'm glad I'm getting two more, because I;m detailing this one!
14. That is indeed one of my fav parts! I love those shoulders and arms being lineart accurate. It is really like buyin a model that already put together. Just for the record, I'm not comparing this to a Hasegawa, but still pretty detailed for a "toy". I can't even consider the Zero a toy...
15. ... and thanks for the first shots of a panel-lined 1/60 Zero. Sorry you were so disappointed. 395867 Hm... seems to be a matter of perspective and because of the FPs. This pic doesn't seem so different in size 396230 It does look smaller in person. Just look at the chest plate. BTW, why do people dislikes the Zero in B mode? IMO I think it looks very balanced, and very aggressive.
16. Be very careful with it. BTW, I just noticed that the Zero has double knee joisnts!!! That is an amazing improvement over the 1/48. I'm still afraid of it. I guess I need to transform it a couple of times before I can get trusty with it. This thing looks awesome next to the VE and the VT. It is really a nice production, I just hope I don't break it.
17. I'm expecting 2 Zeros from Twinmoons. I hope I don't get any QC issues. We should be getting them any day now. I just received a Zero from samurai m yesterday.
18. I got 1 of the 3 0S I ordered yesterday. Thanks Samurai M! I was terrified about it having QC's but I'm happy to report that the VF-0S was in perfect condition. This is a beautiful rendition of the 0S. The transformation is mind to me, since this first time I encounter something other than the VF-1. It just screams fragile to me. I love the little details, but all those details have the "fragile" price tag on it. I transformed it in all modes no problem, but I was almost poooping my pants everytime something made that popping/crackling noise. For some reason the piece that has the "hook" to hold the legs up in F mode seems too skinny and/but incredibly flexible. I don't know what to think of it. I'm honestly scared to transform the damn thing. Then again, let's not forget how everyone was so terrified the first time they transformed their first 1/48s I particularly didn't like the arm rotating mechanism(while transforming the zero). It does not look durable to me. On the "VF-1" there is an opening where the arm normally rests in both G and B modes(same position). This opening is easily noticeable in F mode. It is right behind the intake(see pic below), where the wing axis is. The Vf-0S doesn't have that opening. Therefore in the "VF-0" F mode is seamless(gapless) and beautiful, but when transforming it into G mode, you actually have to force/slide the arm into the G or B arm position. That piece of plastic that holds the arm looks like is forced bent into that position. I'll take some pics if necessary. I love this thing, but i don't want to be afraid of it. A piece of advise: Be very carefull with the nose antena/pitot tube. Man I felt like I was going to break that thing. It comes straight out. Try rotating while pulling down towards the ground in F mode.
19. Oh man oh man, lets hope our boys come home safely with no defects. 395567 OMG, I hope the 3 I bought are fine
20. Max ain't so bad, but the Milia s waaay off. Vlenhoff- While I appluad your work, I think you should move on and discontinue doing recolors of this piece. My main concern is that your pencil-work is great, yet the "nose" of the VF just seems very tilted from the body and, t me, it looks goofy. Let's see more. Damnit. 395165 The idea of this piece is that I wanted to have every color gathered in a Photoshop file. The only thing I have to do is click on the various layers and get my favorite combination valk. On the line art, I do see the effect of the nose of the valk, and i believe this effect increases since the intake is almost totally dark. Also, as i mentioned earlier this was done by memory at my friends house, so I know the nose might be a little off. At least it looks like that to me too. Since it was a memory drawing I decided to just let it be. That was my mental interpretation of a valk and that gives it some personal value. On the colors, maybe, I should add more magenta to Max so it's darker. I think I'm poisoned by Yamato's colors, or maybe my monitor needs some caibration. I'll show some results on the colors soon. Thanks for the commentaries, I'll keep on posting changes and new material. I appreciate the input.
21. With my luck... 3 times the chances to get screwed...
22. I hate you, I'm Jelous! OMG, if they were 1/500 models, you could just place them in the Prometeus! Is ther such thing? 1/500 valks?
23. Congrats! I see you got yourself a Miria!(cheeezemeter went off the scale)
24. That is the most retarded packaging ever. Separating the armor from the valk only increases the area of its storage. I don't know what to do anymore. I have 0 room for more boxes. I wonder if the attic is save for collectible boxes. I'm going to have to throw away the boxes of my personal valks. I guess folding them would do Yamato, I give you all my money, and you can't even figure out a way to package this vaks efficiently! No complaint about the Zero! I still love you Yamato
25. Starting with...
