  1. Welcome to the club...
  2. I am not gonna sweat this either. I just wanted the vermilion squad TBH. The thing is, i try and support the line so it goes on until i can get what i want. Sadly this time, I may not be able to do so. If they make it so difficult to order at the "correct" price, then the line may sadly end. I don't think many people are willing to go through this every release. Sorry, just my .02. Edit in: I thought they would release all the naked valks, and then have missile and super packs available for those who wanted to dress them up. Apparently, the missiles and superpacks are just releases too. So you HAVE to buy them immediately. Why is this happening? Money? can't they see they will make more money in the long run, if they have a stable, well planned line? Have they not seen the Avengers! Ok, I'll stop. I might be wrong, but i am tired of this preorder madness. I miss the Yammie days too @dapro
  3. I believe it'll be available for pre-order on june 7th
  4. So ninin, cdjapan, Amiami, NY, and HLJ are the places to order from right? Jungle and Mandrake are exclusively for used valks, right? I am heart broken from the Tv Max preorder. I tried for hours, for nothing.
  5. Thanks @Shizuka the Cat, have fun with your family and friends.
  6. Oh they definitely got me way further than that!
  7. Oh i deeply respect Hasbro/Kenner, I really do. But you know, they did GiJoe, and they fit in every vehicle... So it is not like this is new to them... anyway... I'll stop my first world rant here Thanks @Rogueload!
  8. Thanks @Slave IV, but i have to voice my gripe a little bit, if you don't mind. How does Hasbro produce a vehicle to carry those essential characters from the movie, and yet they don't make the figures to all properly fit in it? Is there no planning in their design/production department? It is like producing a barbie vette, yet she wont fit in it. Maybe thats a bad example, but I think you see what i mean.
  9. Ha, I've done the same with my Black series collection. I found a few Han Solo figures on sale, and bought them, a few years ago. Same with Stormtroopers, and imperial officers, but you gotta have a few of those. I also got an extra Obi wan, and red arm C-3PO on sale, to be able to modify them to fit the land speeder. Yes, they don't fit in it out of the box... I find Hasbro's lack of planning... disturbing. I had to cut extra material from 3PO on the hips to be able to sit like that, then paint the cut areas and the arm gold. Then i painted his leg silver. I had to give Obiwan cloth robe pants i bought on ebay, so he could actually fit in there. Lukes robe is also from a seller on Ebay. It is a little better than the one he comes with. Not pictured here are all the stormtrooper joint pins. I painted all those white pins flat black, so they look less toy-like, and more natural. Also not pictured here is all the damage i added to the landspeeder. I painted it to look closer to the movie version. I guess i need to update this picture, lol.
  10. @Shizuka the Cat, I hear ya, we are all busy, and i am glad you are done with finals. I hope you enjoy your vacation! Yes, we are close to pre-order madness , and i know you helped a lot of people back then. I think it was only fair to give you the heads up, just in case you wanted to order one yourself. You helped others, so i am trying to pay it forward. I was one of the unlucky ones who had to pay inflated prices for the TV Max, but hey, I want to have that 1/48 vermilion dream. The new pre-order is for the 1/48 DX Hikaru 1S, an it is on Sunday at 2am? (central time), I think...
  11. Good job on that background @Rogueload My collection before: The glaug, and missile pods, plus v v v these two.

Thanks to @sh9000 for the VF-4, and you for Max's @kkx I like my VF-2SS, but i rarely transform it. Then again, I rarely transform anything in my collection. The Vf-2SS is a bit finicky as you have to carefully align any little part that moved during handling or transforming. I am not sure i'll get a good price on the Gilbert version, but just like the VF-4, one is enough for me. Don't get me wrong, to me it is a must have. This thing is beautiful and the best VF-2SS out there. Plus it is in scale with the others, so that alone makes it cool.

    So.. this happened.
  14. Very cool. Did you make the background yourself? I've been thinking about backgrounds for some of my displays too. Are those flightpose stands painted black? I love your 1/60 collection. I wish mine was as complete. On the other hand... this happened! [VF-4] (i am so glad it came in fighter mode) and then Milia happened... I got the 1D with the monster, so this group is now together... awaiting for... a brownie... I hate you SH9000... No, seriously, special thanks to @sh9000 and @kkx None of this would have been possible without you. Specially you SH9000, for linking killer store prices. I think nearly half of my collection was linked or helped by you. Thanks! I am like a child right now, I can't stop starring at them

Older bi-planes were amazingly small. Even in the Final Countdown movie, when the F14 are engaging the Japanese Zeros, you can see the massive size difference. It is always cool to see same scale models next to each other.

Thanks, but i sold one of them, like 10 years ago. (old pics) These 1/48 F-14 look pretty basic. The are solid, and metal, and the wings sweep, but the panel lining is actually painted on. It was the lack of real detail that made sell it. Ha in my memory, the Fokker, Focker was flying was orange, hmmm

I assume you are painting it like it appears on the animation. Oh, and BTW, i thought this F-14 looked familiar.
  20. No money for missiles here, lol. I might modify and sticker some extra Yammie 1/48 nukes i got laying around.
  21. Oh, I see what you meant now. You're prob right, they do have their own style going on. -------------- Back to toys, i sold all my 1/6 Star wars figures many moons ago. Hasbro's 1/6 line was always pretty bad. I have been waiting for the perfect 1/6 Luke, or Han to be available for ages. Hot Toys has a gorgeous Luke in ROTJ suit, but i am still waiting. I may never get one, since i am way too picky. Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford have those faces that are really hard to capture. you might get one angle right, but if you turn the sculpt(figure), then it looks wrong. For instance Sideshows' Luke figures always look wrong to me. That Warmachine is indeed gorgeous! Congrats on your purchase!
  22. That gives me the impression Howard did not take this project seriously. Cheadle seems more like a team player anyway
