SICK SO SICK

Maybe it was: Take our daughters and sons to work day. You know, let your kid help with the animation frames day.

Below is a 1:18 Chinese made NC2 Miata, next to my Autoart NC1 Miata The Chinese made one has lots of interior detail, and the Autoart can actually retract/deploy the hard top.

Hey Sqidd, sorry about the delayed replay. I've been super busy. I own the most hated Miata of the all: The NC Miata. It is basically a shortened and lightened RX-8, and therefor it is a bit heavier than its prior iterations. Those wheel arches are stock, and that roof comes down in 13 seconds or so, using electricity. I just got her back actually, and now she has a 8.4 lb lightweight flywheel, and stage one clutch. I thought it already had a lightened flywheel, but I was wrong. So when the clutch went, I upgraded/replaced the entire clutch system. I never thought I would own a Miata, as they are not really powerful, but after having two modified WRX[s] I settled for this little house fly of a car. Telepathic and "chuckable" are some of the reasons I love this car. Light wheels, lugnuts, and lighter MisterR coilover suspension made it ever more fun. This is the first time I've driven a car with a lightened flywheel and I absolutely love it. I go on drives to no where for no reason, just for fun. Don't get me wrong, I love power, but this car is fun at any speed.

Wow, I had no idea! I did have a few of those GPK cards back in the day, but I never saw these before. Not that I recall anyhow. -

Drive what you love. Who can explain love anyway?

It is a power retractable roof, and the wheel arches are stock. Yes, I love the way it drives, but it is a visceral experience. You basically feel everything on the road. I really love this lil' thing. Telepathic is a good way to describe it. I've had power and speed for over 12 years, and now I finally decided to go the fun way, rather than the not to 60 way. The thing for me is a fast car is fun driven fast, but these lil Mx-5 are fun all the time. It is not for everyone, but I truly enjoy it. Honestly it is a useless a car in every other sense, as it is only intended to be driven. This is the GT trim, so it has LSD, 6 speed MT, leather, heated seats, Xenon headlamps, and it is my daily driver. I know it might add a little weight, but I really wanted these items. Same here, it took me years to go for a less powerful engine, but I am so glad I finally did it. I did install Mister R coilovers, so the ride height is slightly lower than stock. I did drive an NB in my research process, but I have to say, even when this NC2 mk3.2 is the fattest of them all, it is my favorite. I am not entirely sure, but I believe the only previous owner installed a lightened flywheel. It revs so fast, it is crazy. The NC2 is actually a shortened and lightened RX-8 chasis, but it is not that much heavier than previous iterations. I got Flying Miata Kogeki wheels at 15.6lb and lightened lugnuts, and it really feels amazing in any situation. I am not going to super or turbocharge it. The mission is to follow the Lotus philosophy: "add lightness". I may get a lighter exhaust, and lighter 2 piece rotors later on. This car won't win you any drag races, but it is fun from the moment you start it to the moment you park it. I've had 2 modified WRX[s] and loved them, but I adore this little car. Have you posted pics of your SS? I can't rememeber.

The Transformers Thread (licensed) Next

Special shout out to tf_lab @ Ebay. USPS lost Jazz' filler parts on the mail, and then they failed to follow up on it. tf_lab quickly responded to emails, and they even sent a replacement at no cost to me. I'm not sure this is the proper space to communicate this, but he sells filler parts for the Licensed transformers we explore here. In any case, a super nice ebayer with a heart of gold needs exposure. Edit in: I sold all my transformers except for my MP editions. Earthrise Jazz looks spot on to me, and I had to get it. I am not sure I will continue the line, but I had to have him. He isn't perfect, but it screams proper G1 to me. The rest of the line has gone up in price, so Jazz might be the end of the line for me. What a fun little bot he is.- 16710 replies
