Just finished in about 17 hours with Lobster and Scorpion ranks. Lobster cause i played pretty much the first 1/2 of the game in the crouching position and scorpion because of a 300 kill count. Anyway, this really is Kojima's masterpiece. The story was awesome, but totally not predictable at all. Mostly everything was explained and wrapped up nicely. It brings all the past games in the series in perspective and complements them very well. So, MGS4 has officially taken the title of my favourite and the best game i've played. On a side note: Too bad, I always Snake to have that ending.

Anyone know why the flintlock gun costs 1,000,000 points? Anyone buy it yet?

except this time its not in codec, its actual cutscenes. And you gotta epect this from MG. The games in the series are more like movies than strictly video games prolly because the creator always dreamed of being a film director.

Just finished the 3rd act and MAAANNNNN, this game is awesome!!! Kojima really has made his masterpiece. The story is really where this one shines. You go across the world several times and see nice big maps. I really got emotional at the end of this act ( ) Anyway, i hope to be done by the next few days. On a side note, just found out that Kurt Wimmer is in talks to direct the MGS movie(old news i know) Anyone who has seen Equilibrium, knows how good this guy is (I really try and forget about Ultraviolet) so I think he could do it justice. But, Kojima would so be the best choice.

Picked up mine yesterday and spent a good long time examining and transforming it (with the help of dru's awesome video guide) and i really love this bad boy. I got it in a cool ascending pose on the display stand (kinda like the shot of the jets from the intro to RahXephon) On a side note. I cant seem to get the lower back part (the part that slides) flush with the rest of the plane. Any ideas to get it down?

Well, i finally can justify buying my PS3. It really is a great game. It is similar to the rest of the series, but brings so much more to the table. The story and characters feel more epic than previous installments. With many different locations and pretty much every live character from previous games, this game seems like the perfect ending to the series. (lol, i'm still not even close to finishing it, though) Anyone watch the Blu-Ray that comes with the LE, yet? I was scare to because it supposidly has spoilers.

Oddly enough looking at those pics of the gn-u 21 vs the revy vf-1, it looks like the 21 is almost in scale with the revy

I once read that Macbeth sounds like Macross in a japanese accent. Dunno if thats true or not, though. But, thank god they changed it. I dont think it wouldve lasted with a name like that.

According to the M3, it is bigger than the VF-0. The 1/60 VF-0 is about the same size as the VF-1 1/48, so this should be slightly bigger (longer in F mode) than a 1/48 and the 1/60 YF-19.

Just joined a starting out raiding guild as a pally tank. So, i'll see if raiding is fun at all after i spent 1 1/2 just soloing and pvp as a warrior. But, blizz is lucky they released Wrath news when they did, i was gonna take a long vacation from WoW. But, the news of the expack got me excited again.

I find 1/72 too small for Macross toys. 1/60 all the way. Anyway, i never owned any pricey Bandai toys before. They usually have good QC, right? I'm not expecting a cheaper product than anything Yamato. Bandai will have the monopoly on MacF toys and if they learned anything from Yamato, its that they can charge anything if they are the only ones making it.

Bit OT, but Beast Wars was Canadian. (sorry, i'm a lil too proud of our small contribution to animation) Anyway... Never saw the entire Macross Saga of RT. I guess after you see the original, you cant sit through how bad they redid it. I had the patience to sit through the other 2 arcs and ... well the 'SDF 1' (not Macross to RT) turned into 3 hills... And RT:SC wasnt that bad. Other American animators can watch it to learn what not to do when making a mock-anime movie/series. If you're looking to buy the Real Macross, i can vouch for the Animeigo version. It doesnt have an English audio track or any extras, but its really cheap and apparently the audio and video are higher quality than the ADV release.

Any plans for yamato to sell the stand separately? I wanna get a matching one for my 19

I'm gonna reserve judgment until i see a better prototype. Its pretty obvious that this was a quickly thrown together model of the toy. Heck, there is a massive gap between the upper and lower right forearm. Oh well, i hope it looks good in fighter.

I'm with you there. I'm not quite sure how HG and Toynami stay in business, seems they sell more hype/hope rather than products.

So can anyone clarify whether or not the city ship of Galaxy was destroyed? from Shun's summary, i take it that the ship the Vajra destroyed wasnt the colony ship. Anyway, this really was the ultimate action episode. The slower pace episodes previous really built this up well. Usually a really good episodes will only have 1 or 2 'Super-Awesome-O' moments. This episode is packed with 'HOLY CRAP' moments. And i am thinking right now that Brere maybe Ranka's brother, but lest hope they are more original than that. So, anyone think that the technology developed and used on Galaxy could lead to the re-introduction of the BDS and BDI systems that they scrapped after Guld had severe side effects. Seems to me cybernetics could really perfect the technology.
