  1. Agreed....Episode 8 got rather weird. Turned me off a bit to this show just when it was starting to really grab me.
  2. That would be something, wouldn't it? Not really a big Bandai fan at this point
  3. I've been a Halo fan since the original game (ugh 20+ years ago...getting old). They said they were doing their own story with this show, so I tried to keep an open mind when watching. Five episodes in my honest opinion is that I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It has a high production value and everything looks great - costumes, weapons, vehicles, sets, aliens...obviously a lot of work and money went into it. They just went to a lot of trouble to have a weird take on the universe and the characters. Master Chiefs character is completely wrong and they didn't really get the Spartans right either. I understand they wanted to make Master Chief into a character, but he really does spend an excessive amount of time with his helmet off. Makee's story is not my favorite thing forced into this universe and I don't really care about Kwan. Having Jen Taylor voice Cortana made the show feel more like 'home' so that and the intense action is fun enough to keep me watching. Otherwise was this show worth waiting 20 years for? Ehh....
  4. It will be nice not to have such a floppy loose torso joint. I got excited about the open gun barrels but realized all of my Yamatos have that on the arms. They mean the machine gun looking torso gun closest to the chest. Ending up ordering one from AmiAmi because the price was hard to beat and I like supporting Arcadia. Hopefully the exchange rate is still good in a year or two when this actually releases. I didnt think BBTS would have them but its cool to see. From Mr.K's quote doesnt seem like a PF is planned yet. Thats disappointing
  5. I don't see it anywhere else yet. Waiting for confirmation on if there's a Premium Format version. The AmiAmi listing says it comes with marking stickers.
  6. Super excited I paid up front for one of these. It will release someday I guess
  7. Whoa...they really decided to re-release the Tomahawk? Didn't think I would see that day. Wonder if we will get any weathering, special paint schemes or a premium format Wish they would make the missing ones instead
  8. Good call on that one. Reset and back in!
  9. These YF-19 releases are really dragging on...
  10. @jvmacross That's disappointing that they aren't acknowledging the newly created issue. I will email them with pictures and explain my experiences. That's at least one more person documenting problems with the newest version. Was hoping they would say something about a new Fast Packs version. They don't mount very well in the first place and now the arms can't be placed in fighter mode at all. Also I loosened my backpack considerably trying to remove the stupid booster bracket. There really wasn't anything wrong with the 2.0 VF-1J. Mine looks great in fighter mode and so does every other one I have seen pictures or videos of.
  11. Issues aside, not too shabby looking!
  12. An updated version of the Fast Packs would definitely be nice. Maybe raise the main boosters a little bit and bring them closer together. Would also be great if the light switches were easily accessible. Curious to see what they say about everything.
  13. @jvmacross please let us know what they say about it. I am trying to put the Super Parts on my 1A standard now. The arm parts are difficult to get on because the tan paint is so thick. Also worth noting that the new leg tabs interfere with placement of the Super Parts equipped arms. The tabs are too long and too high...maybe even a little bit too far forward.
  14. I had a little better success with the Max. The various joints and hinges definitely weren't as tight as the brown one. Still can't get the backpack hinge to sit where it's supposed to. It always ends up with the back end up in the air too much. Overall looks pretty good though. I will run both of them through transformation again at a later time.
  15. My Standard and Max 1As arrived today. Very nice looking colors and they have definitely made some design improvements. The intakes attaching to the body tightly is a very welcome change. I also had some trouble with the hip joints in battroid mode as others mentioned above. Once they are in there it's solid. Unfortunately getting the brownie into fighter mode was a chore. There's a lot of binding issues where the chest plate and everything closes up behind the cockpit and I could not get it to all sit flush and tight (same with the backpack hinge). My original Roy 1S is like this but the gold and red ones were better. Going to try the Max and see if it's the same deal or a fluke. All of the paint means chipping could be an issue. I scraped a little off fiddling with transformation. Interestingly in this bright office lighting the brownie shows a few different shades of tan. Also, I really hate the neck. Overall though it's nice to see these figures continually improving. I appreciate the smaller, slightly simpler packaging too.
  16. Other than the horrendous looking neck on the 1A figures, they look great. Looks like each production run is making some nice improvements and I am looking forward to additional releases and improvements. I suggested they make Alaska Base 1A figures because nobody else has ever produced them. Thank for all the great pictures! Mine and stuck somewhere in the USPS quagmire along with some other packages that have been MIA all week...hoping they show up soon.
  17. Kitzconcept has exceptional customer service. They are always both friendly and helpful when talking to customers. This is a large part of the reason I enjoy supporting them. They also keep making improvements to their products which is great to see.
  18. I got an email this morning saying a factory problem is delaying the VF-1As another month or so. Wonder if we will even see them by summer
  19. Nice! But man that's a small production run
  20. I am not sure what the additional improvements they are describing are, but nice to see Max and Kakizaki 1A's!
  21. I got the email about the VF-1S Rick/Roy too and the balance invoice for them. Went with the surface Mail because I am not paying any higher shipping fees. Curious to see if these have further changes to them based on their Facebook page comments Looks like my reissue VF-1J and Heavy Armor just shipped too.
  22. I doubt we will really see them next year. Their releases are always 6+ months behind the initial dates announced. Maybe some prototypes will be shown in summer. That being said it will be cool to have these in 1/72 scale. They also said in some Facebook comments that the VF-1 has been modified even further. Curious to see what they have done with it now
  23. 5 total people in my Ohio theater. Me and my two friends and a couple sitting behind us. I have never seen the movie version so it added to the experience for me. I didn't realize how much stuff they added, removed, and changed from the OVA. It was definitely great seeing it on the big screen and the Kawamori message before it was a nice touch. I can't believe how many years ago it came out! My OVA version is a set of VHS tapes
  24. Is the pre-show for sure at 6:30? I can't find info on that anywhere Curious to see if there's any other Macross fans here in NE Ohio
