Why is the Tread landing gear hanging down in the third picture? For $300, you're telling me that they can't get the 'sensor head' (my word, don't know the official definition) to lay flat on the intake in Battroid mode? Seriously? The tailfins sticking out of the arms look just plain goofy. The linkup does look better in this pic, but as Kyp said, the legs sticking out of the sides just looks plain goofy. It's sad that nobody else is planning on making one of these. I will not buy a Toynami and I just don't think I can convince myself to spend THAT much money on something with so many flaws...I think if it were $150 maybe...but not double that...

Those look great. Seeing these always makes me wonder...has anybody ever made a separate 1D front end to sling under the arm of Skull 1? I've never seen it, but just wondered. Probably wouldn't be worth it as you'd have to cannibalize a whole Valk, but I've seen people do crazier stuff.

Agreed. They can call it a "toy" all they want, but for that price, I'd have to be Bill Gates to let a kid play with it. I'd rather have a 'collectible' that maybe I had to be a little careful with that looked like the line-art for that price.

Maybe it's bad perspective or something, but that makes the CM TREAD look WAY too small or the Legioss WAY too big.

They desperately need to bring the price down on this.

I really really hope they fix this toy or bring the price down. If Toynami ever comes out with the Beta I'm actually considering getting one of those and an Alpha from them if the linkup looks decent. At least it won't cost me a car payment and it doesn't look like it has any LESS problems than the CM toy...

I believe you're exactly right. It's merely a torso rotation and flip. I'll try to find pictures. Also, pretty cool to see that Japanese Classics Megatron has that Neo-G1 paint job. I think I'll probably pick that one up even though it's a pretty steep price.

But they DID find out a way to have two different transformations for the same figure, which is pretty cool, imo.

If they make those or announce plans to...it's on like neckbone.

This is too bad. I was really looking forward to this and with the link up issues I don't know if I'll buy it. I really hope they fix it. I can live with minor discrepancies, but such glaring errors make me unlikely to get it at any price.

I'm in. Looks good to me. If they do a full line and some of the variants from the previous 1/60 line, many/most of my 1/48s will get sold. I hate to say, but I didn't look over 22 pages...any 'release date' news in that article?

I don't have the MPC Alpha, since I heard so many bad things about them. I've heard good things about CM so I'm hopeful. Back on topic... Is there going to be a way to get separate FAST packs for the Valks I already have?

I agree with everything you said. It's just interesting, because people are all over 'Cyberton Jet' when practically all of the "2005" toys alt modes looked like crap in a hat, and many of those were quite beloved.

It would have been interesting to read internet message boards, if there had been such a thing, when G1 Galvatron came out.

I loved Gears when I was a kid. Something about his color scheme...I was always disappointed he wasn't in the cartoon more. I hope Animated runs more than one season. I'd love to see them really flesh out the cast.
