Even the non-redband trailer of this movie gave you a pretty good idea of how bloody it was going to be. I'm actually surprised in some way that this movie wasn't x-rated for violence.

That's your opinion. I think the fighter mode looks like junk. The link-up doesn't look anything like the line-art. Heck, the soldier mode doesn't even look anything like the line-art.

This movie couldn't be more what I paid for if I asked. The final battle scene is INSANE. Lots of fun. One appalling thing. People in the theater I was in brought CHILDREN to the movie. Like 5 year old kids. FIVE YEAR OLDS. Pretty much everybody in the theater had the same reaction as my friends and I. Just stunned disbelief.

This is probably heresy, but if I wanted something that just looked good in Soldier mode, couldn't I just buy a Toynami Super Poseable Alpha? Has to look good in all modes. I wish there was somebody making really great versions of these. In 1/35 scale. SIGH. So depressing. One of my favorite animes as a kid and I can't get a decent toy to this day. I know we won't probably ever get it, and if we do, the QC will be total crap, but at least the Toynami Beta that was shown is the right size, and the link-up looks MUCH better than the CM, IMO.

To: Anybody in the know Does anybody know if they've improved the hip joint mechanization from the 1/48? That's the only part of the design that bothers me.

I'm not trying to be obtuse, but I don't see how the two events are connected. Perhaps if some national tragedy occurred...and while Heath Ledger's death is sad and tragic in it's own way, I don't think it's of the scale to make people stop thinking about everyday life. Just IMO.

The people they have involved in this on both sides of the pond have me very optimistic. I'm excited to see it.

That pretty much does it. Completely and surely no deal for me. I may even order a Toynami one or two and just handle them like they're made of porcelain.
