Sorry if I'm late to the party, but did the patch also fix the face import bug? Thanks in advance.

Also a reasonable explanation.

I figured that goes without saying...Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending them in any stretch of the imagination, but it may be a reason why they are so gun-shy about going in total different directions.

Oh I agree it was a disaster, but at least they did actually try at one point. Of course, one could you it as an excuse (I wouldn't) for why they are so gun-shy about doing parallel stories...

Didn't they try to do that with Robotech 3000? We know how that went... Granted it was only one trailer, and I don't think anybody really knows the direction they wanted to go.

I thought it was the bike from Megazone 23... Still, it hurt my eyes...

I believe it's short for "Side Sequel" It's a sequel to the franchise, but not part of the main storyline, and usually involves different characters.

I agree. I thought the show had a decent premise, but execution was relatively poor, and suffered from "cancelitis".
-
Are you sure it wasn't a "Protoculture upgrade"? Edit: Just fixed some typos.

I see it as the RT movie following the footsteps of this!!!

Second.

To this day I believe (or rather I'd like to believe) that they originally wanted to make a trasnforming version of the toy (especially since they managed to make one of the hovertank...), but had to abandon that plan when they rushed it to market; of course I have nothing to back that up...

I downloaded a trailer from PSN, and it looked good. Unfortuantely, it's an MMO, and my policy on them is: I refuse to pay to play a game I've already bought. Still, I hope this game turns out well.

Let's all agree that this show falls under the realm of "guilty pleasure", and have fun!!
-
Here is a rare occurrence where I'm defending fan fiction writers: 1 - They fully acknowledge the work of the creators, and they do NOT own them. 2 - Distributed for free (or at least non-profit). Which of course, totally doesn't apply to RT.

Seems US forgets the old adage "Show, don't tell".

As much as I'd hate to argue this, I have admit that Wall-E's animation and story techniques gave us more facial expression and body language. Something 80's anime/cartoons didn't have.

Then it's doomed even before it starts...

Not that I'm aware. I'm just pointing out his willingness to make blanket statements even on extremely flimsy numbers. Maybe I should listen to the whole thing, but where he's getting his facts (SRW, even though in that game the Macross mechs pilots were totally juiced) make me roll my eyes, and shut it off.
-
My favourite was that he claimed Macross tech is weaker because the VF-11 has less firepower because it's gunpod is 35mm instead of the VF-1 55mm. I'm not ballistics expert, but last time I checked, a smaller caliber round at faster speeds can do more damage then higher caliber rounds at slower speeds.

I saw that one, and it just reaffirmed this saying: "Those who live by the sword, die by those with guns."

Got arrested last season.

Here's the conundrum: Why would Rick be in command of the entire mission, when Lisa outranks him from beginning to end before? I can see Rick stop being a pilot, and maybe be CAG, but definitely not outranking Lisa. Overall, I find it a bit ironic that the Japanese (which culturally is still more male orientated) was more willing to accept a female in-charge.
-
I chalk that up to "Men must be in charge" attitude of the late 80s that was in NA.
-
Didn't think about that really. However, now that mention it, it's that "bad girl" image I guess.
