  1. There's no ani Prime with a trailer coming? edit: trailer/firetruck attachment/whatever
  2. tformers has pics of leader ani Prime in package. This is the first I've ever seen pics of it. Yikes. I think I have my animated Prime fix with the deluxes. Especially the cybertronian one. I can't get over how well executed that design is.
  3. Somewhat related. I've had my 1/100 Hikaru VF1-J on display in jet mode in a pretty simple pose on the included display stand which went untouched for at least six months. This week the ball cup cracked for no reason and the jet limped to the side of the stand, luckily not falling off. This is one of those new supposedly "fixed" cups from the second wave. Sigh. I had entertained putting fast packs on the jet beforehand, but like I had intially thought when they were announced, the display stand's unlikely to support it. It's a shame. Such a cool idea so poorly implimented.
  4. Heh, I just figured out that I was missing a transformation step to ship mode with deluxe Ani-Megatron(the one that comes in the two pack). The chest can click back so it's closer to the "cockpit" part of the fusion cannon, which makes the ship mode look more cohesive as it's closer to the curve of the fusion cannon "cockpit". Looking at pics of the Voyager now, I *much* prefer the alt mode of the deluxe. The cockpit/front of the ship's just more defined. Unless the Voyager's cockpit has a transform step where it curves down to something similar? I'm still dissapointed that the the legs on the deluxe are so damn loose.
  5. I thought it was. I wanted an arcade-like jet combat game, and it delivered. There's lots of achievements to unlock to keep you busy too. I think some of the Ace Combat veterans around here thought it didn't quite live up to past AC games though.
  6. I liked Weaving's Megatron. It fit for the most part. The *only* bad delivery I can think of was the "I am Megatron". It should have been loud and defiant, but was instead delivered in a matter of fact tone. There was an extra on the movie dvd where they show a clip of Megatron from the movie and dub it with a Welker sound clip from the cartoon, and it doesn't work at all.
  7. The weight of the diecast really limits the dynamic posing you can do with the legs. You really can't do much except a standing pose with them. Granted it's a really nice looking 'like the toon' standing pose that the original toys were incapable of doing. Apart from that, it really doesn't affect anything else(on mine at least).
  8. I saw him perform about four to six months back, and at the time it looked like he was trying out some new material. It's a shame. Always loved his material. Even if I didn't buy the concept, the delivery was always a treat.
  9. It's that Tim Tom(or is it Kevin) mentioned The Monarch by name that made me think they're planning on offing him. Can't wait to see how it pans out regardless. Couple thoughts on Dr. Girlfriend. Have they called her Dr. Girlfriend at all this season? In this last episode she was introduced as Dr. Who-used-to-be-his-Girlfriend. I wonder if a name change is in the works. Dr. Wife? Dr. Mrs.? The voice and gender thing might still be ambiguous. It was Hatred that said her voice is like that because of smoking, she didn't agree or disagree. And her voice was like that in college as seen the last episode prior, which if she started in her early teens isn't quite enough time. With all these bit characters coming to the forefront, how long until we get some more Truckules?
  10. I just gave my Premium the once over and I don't see any cracking. However, I did see that the lower legs peg together inside that circle, so that might explain the pressure that caused it. Still, it shouldn't have happened to you in the first place.
  11. "We've all heard that speech a thousand times, Monarch. We're all super villians here." The episode was pretty good and is the result of little lines of dialogue in the last two seasons. The henchmen have always been stealing parts from Hatred for the Cocoon, and now it seems that Hatred's taken the arch-spot for Venture to spite the Monarch. Awesome. But I don't think I like that they kind of explained Dr. Girlfriend's voice.
  12. Cyclopian and everything! HA!
  13. I just can't get over the fact that it's red, has a Prime head, the name Convoy and it's not even remotely truck-like. For a collector's line coming after *other* collector's lines with Primes, it's just silly to start off this way. The window was WIDE open for an Alternator-esque Bumblebee. That was the figure to do, and I cross my fingers that that's in the works. Although Classics Bee doesn't look too out of place in an Alternator display. New FanProject news at http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/c...on-guns-165191/. Pictures of fully painted Magnus. The BFG looks MUCH nicer fully painted. A Classics scale Matrix and small Classics Megatron guns for figures to hold. If the accessories are similiary priced to the MP Starscream coronation set, these new accessories shouldn't cost too much.
  14. Heh, now that I look back, I think I remember that post. It's just that when you view the mini-series again, it feels like the character was intended for more involvement in the show. The wiki link even lists all the deleted scenes he's been in. Plus he kind of even looks mechanical.
  15. I'm watching the mini-series again since, well, since it first aired. I have discovered who the final Cylon is. Someone we have all forgotten about, and someone who was very close to one of the final four and to a number Eight. I'm talking about: Boxey!
  16. Cyclonus? Is that you?
  17. Clue or no clue, The Last Supper picture is clever and cool.
  18. My Mazinger GX-01R arrived today. Very nice. Like any other SoC, it has some nice weight to it, and none of it interfers with articulation. I'm very happy with it. Only nitpick I have is that they could have easily have made a plider that had wings that could fold up to dock in the head. Of course it comes with gimmicks out the wazoo. I was surprised that the forearm connects to the upper arm through magnets, which is pretty damn cool. He has that simple original Mazinger design I wanted, and that's pretty much how I'm going to display him.

1/144 sounds about right. If the Toynami's are truly 1/100 and represent the size of your average Zentraedi soldier, the Regult would have to be bigger by half its current size to accomodate one to climb inside its cockpit. I like it next to my 1/100's, but its pretty obvious it's too small. My personal opinion... take it for what it is.
  20. You're not the only one.
  21. Oh my, not only is it a Cylon Toaster, but it brands Cylons on your toast! WANT!
  22. Ok, are they making this cartoon for kids or for adult fans? In "Autobot Boot Camp" we had the introduction of Cliffjumper, Ironhide, Waspinator, and Shockwave! It's not going to be at all surprising if we get Bumblebee repainted into Cliffjumper *and* Waspinator(unless they have something else planned for him, but as is he's awfully close in design), and an Ironhide repaint of Ratchet. Was Longarm supposed to resemble anyone? He didn't look familiar at all. Then in the "SUV" episode we get Swindle, and he mentions the Vok! This is like reference city! And damn it, I want action figures of the humans! In "Rise of the Constructicons" we got Scrapper and Mixmaster acting like your typical construction guys, which in itself is funny enough, but then they really drive the parody home with the sexist remarks as the "cute" car drives by and then the beer drinking at the bar after the end of the work day. Make no mistake, that's what it was. I think it's awesome, but I wonder if the kids are *getting* any of this.
  23. Well, there's that, and there's that they're already putting out Transformers with realistic alt modes through the movie lines. Why waste resources on a fan market when the movie tie-in market dwarfs it in comparison while putting out pretty much the same idea? As to the movie, I'm cautious about Bay. I did like what I saw and heard on the extras on the Transformers Movie dvd. I found out that he actually did listen to people in the know, which I honestly found surprising. My fear is that he'll forget those little things that made the first movie work, and believe his own hype while making the second one. Therefore more human characterization, more explosions, less bot characterization, less mythos exploration, more explosions, and did I mention more explosions? I remain cautious because he *did* listen the first time as much as it may pain some rabid fans to admit. It's all there in the dvd extras. I came away begrudgingly respecting the guy after viewing them. edit: grammar/spelling
