Man I hope we are wrong to think that, I really find it hard to believe at c3x that Bandai showed everything else Macross but the chunkies. At least show us a strike! -

That figure kicks ass, buy him. Great figure, the only things wrong with it are that the saber can only be held by the left hand, and the helmet is not very secure. The TAC one from earlier this year is great, but the definitive version in many collector's eyes would be the same mold retooled with ball jointed elbows, the current ones only have the angled cut joint swivels. The repacked Mace in the legacy collection is okay, its just that the skirt is sculpted on and hinders hip movement. Yoda with Kybuck is repacked in legacy, and is AWESOME. The hood/cloak make a world of difference, its a figure I didn't think I would like all that much but its definitely one of my favs now. TAC ROTS Anakin, Commander Gree, Obi Wan, and the armored Kenobi from the Legacy collection have them, the problem is that on Gree and armored Kenobi, the joints are at an angle which makes them look weird when the hips are lifted up. -
Not sure but its likely, when I stated that Toynami was bringing over the Tamashii valkyries, I was referring to the 1/55 Origin of Valkyrie reissues, which are under the Tamashii banner. The only difference being a sticker on the box that says Toynami, thats it. With that said, anything Macross made by Bandai/Tamashii is most likely able to be brought over by Toynami.

The easiest way to free the swing bar from the nose when going from battroid to fighter mode, is to move the legs down as instructed in the video, then pull on the back, not the backpack with the folded fins, but the back section itself, this will angle the swing bar and the hatch will pop open further. Then, merely push the hip bar upwards and its out! sorry i may not have been clear. i meant, how to separate the upper-most part of the leg (where the intakes are) from the chestplate. You have to swing the intakes inwards, make sure the thigh piece is already down for gerwalk mode, because if it isn't, it will block the leg from going inwards. This should simultaneously free the securing tab, and let you pull the bar out of the catch

Bandai Origin of Valkyrie 1/55 News Thread

I most likely will. Did you notice that its actually in grey as opposed to ultraviolent white? Same with Hikaru, his VF-1A this time around seems grey instead of the ultraviolent white that the 2002 reissue had. -
Yes, they last very long and are the most durable valkyrie toys you could ever buy.

VF-25 1/100 transformable toy thread

The only PVC seen on the prototype are the head lasers, I think those will be the only parts comprised of it. I understand the concern over PVC as well, and I think Bandai might too, they are completely replacing their MSIA lines with Robot Damashii, which is mostly ABS/POM with some PVC parts. Even their FIX lines are getting more releases in the 1/100 metal/ABS/POM category(the ones that came in that huge box and had internal diecast frames and were predominantly ABS with a good amount of metal). Hey come to think of it, thats the same scale as the valkyries! With more FIX releases in larger scale and in metal, Robot Damashii replacing MSIA, and the upcoming valkyries, I think Bandai is steadily kissing PVC goodbye as a predominant part in their action figures. -
There is no rumor, Toynami is bringing over the Tamashii valkyries, I think the first chunkies that will be brought over arrive in september. I highly doubt Bandai will reuse Toynami's molds, the quality is not up to par, nor is the design. The way it works is this, Bandai is the designer/producer, Toynami is the distributor, thats it. Hell even the new heads for the Robotech chunkies next year may even be of Bandai's designs.

I want a stand for the Attack bits too! Like the HCMpro stand for the RX-93 Hi-V gundam. Bandai makes nice stands for drone displays. If a 2SS is made(wonder how the hell they got this to happen), I imagine the sculpt will blow the old model one out of the water, and the articulation will be superior to revoltech(2SS in battroid is definitely one of the most dynamic/striking battroid designs), and I imagine less parts swapping than the model too.

Or Kawamori keeps macking significant changes to the design/lineart and they don't want to make final toolings just yet. It will be translucent 14 years after Macross Plus first aired, we got the 1/60 YF-21. There is one thing this fandom is known for; it is patient. The new toy is a bit over $120, the Yamato valks around similar size, like the Plus and Zero's are all $150-200. This is true. Plus most of the linearts were already done with most of the valks(VF-1, YF-21, YF-19, etc) Could be, Bandai is a sponsor, or they might already know of how difficult Kawamori can be to track down at times, and told him they needed stuff done at a set time, so there wouldn't be delays.

VF-25 1/100 transformable toy thread
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Toys
Thats what I'm thinking too, its definitely one of the designs that slowly grew on me(battroid mode), fighter mode was a neat VF-1 derived design, but the battroid mode is completely different from any other battroid Kawamori has designed. Like the Turn-A Gundam, it grew on me after seeing it in action. I am all for PT, but in this case, at that size(there is a pic at GA graphic that shows the size compared to a hand), the joints may have been far too fragile and small for a toy. Having handled a 1/100 Fire valkyrie plamo kit when I was younger, which later broke, I remember the parts swap transformation, and if perfect transformation for the 19 is used at that scale, well something's gotta give. If not, then better for us, but I would not be surprised if the VF100 19 is parts swap transformation. I am dissapointed that PT is not being utilized, but at the same time, do not want something easily broken. Bandai is known for good qc and durability overall(sure there are some stinkers, like the first SOULSpec EVA-01 hips), so maybe this decision was for the best. Who the hell knows. It looks good so far. There aren't any obvious indicators in any mode that give away the fact that it transforms, and thats always good. -
VF-25 1/100 transformable toy thread

When I think about it, back in 7th grade when I had my Fire valkyrie kit, I thought it was awesome and would bring it to school with me sometimes. It was 1/100, and the sculpt was amazing, as was the intricacy. Well, as most of you would predict, it broke(after some handling too, I treated it like a toy). It was inevitable. Shoving a 1/100 plamo in your backpack is not a good idea! For the upcoming 1/100 VF-19, I see it as a replacement for my broken 1/100 model, one that can actually be played with, and survive. Overall, I would still want a durable, perfect transformation toy, but the great articulation and sculpting is slowly winning me over. From the translation vifam7 gave us, the prototype was PT, but it the hinges were too fragile. This can be alleviated by: 1-having all the swapped parts store elsewhere on the toy or 2-including a stand/base/factory diorama like the SHCMpro/EVA HCMpro models have that stores all the part
