  1. Anyome buying the gageing builder figures? Didn't realize they weren't model kits until recent!
  2. Whoa, did not know that the new Robot Damashii Arbalest was taller! I have the original and I think it's okay, honestly I was expecting more out of it. I even thought that maybe the Revoltech is better...
  3. From what I've seen the only decals included are for Roy and Hikaru. The reasoning might be that since the wing stripes are white on the CF 1A, and Max/Milia VF-1J's, it's easier to just mask the area and not paint the white stripes, than to paint them, since the entire toy is molded in white. Whereas with Roy and Hikaru, if the stripe decals weren't included, you would have to paint them.
  4. Takatoku was awesome. I wonder if any of their designers/engineers who worked on the 1/55 ended up working for Yamato?
  5. Macross Junkie, you're the 1st person I've seen to use the stickers. Looks spectacular!
  6. Agreed on all counts except I don't have a 1/60 YF-19 but from pics, after seeing how well the Fire and Blazer turned out, and hearing about how easy they are to transform, I have no desire to buy the original 1/60 YF-19. The closest I came was buying the Double Nuts, but that sold out, then I wanted the BOP, but that sold out too, then pics of the Fire Valk emerged, and I said f%^&* it.
  7. Well the VF-22S was made as a successor to the VF-17 in Special Operations units, which Diamond Force was. Plus it was made by General Galaxy, like the VF-17. Ironically, the 1/60 VF-17 will probably be a much more advanced and bettter toy compared to the VF-22S.
  8. I think Yamato's eyes they pretty much will have all of Gamlin's onscreen valks covered by the time his VF-17D is released. They already got his VF-22S from Dynamite 7. Now if they want to really push the VF-19F, they can just alter the markings and color a bit and sell one version as Max's offscreen custom Excalibur. I bet the D may sell more than the VF-17S. That head is just so bad ass.
  9. Yup, P was shown alongside the S. Haven't seen the F head sculpt yet. I wonder though..to spice things up, will it use the shorter wings?
  10. Been saying man, I think that will be a sleeper hit. the YF-19-esque head design is bad ass too.
  11. Man I hate the higher prices. The goood thing is though, the Fire Valkyrie is said to be the best Valkyrie by Yamato to date, leaps and bounds above previous releases. Presumably the Blazer will be on par if not better. The yen to dollar ratio doesn't help any of us either.
  12. I forgot where the thread was, but I have 2 issues: Wings drooping on my 22S Neck can barely move(side to side) on my 22S and 21
  13. The 1/48 has one primary thing over the V2 1/60 VF-1; a more user friendly transformation. I like both.
  14. Hey Renato, how does it compare to the VF-22S? Does it feel much more sturdy?
  15. Damn, $287 @hlj, I might just buy it and not buy much else this much.
  16. Yes they can It's shown with wing mounted missles in the VF Master Files book
  17. I'm surprised we haven't seen a sample with all the tampo prints yet.
  18. Graham said it doesn't come with the beam adapter.
  19. I think the Macross F stuff sold mainly because the media tie ins are current and Macross F is on TV. Macross Zero didn't seem anywhere near as popular as Macross F, if we are to compare the media tie ins. I mean I see Macross F keychains, business cards with Alto's face printed on them, cosplay stuff, boob mousepads for Ranka and Sheryl, PVC statues, et al, and this is in addition to the plamo and DX toys. It's been a while since we've seen Macross this popular. As for the YF-19 outselling the YF-21, iirc wasn't the YF-21 more expensive(prior to the reissues from last year) since it was bundled with the stand and FAST packs? I remember it being priced either the same or close to Nora's SV-51. Plus the YF-19 was the hero mecha of Macross Plus. What fuels the appeal for a VF-17 toy is the fact that we never actually had a fully articulated VF-17. The old DX couldn't bend it's knees backwards without modification, the legs couldn't pivot outwards, and the fighter mode, while the VF-17 is bulky, the DX toy looked fat. I'm not knocking the toy but these are the reasons why there is demand for an all new toy; the DX is dated and fans know Yamato could pull off a much better toy, especially in light of what they did with the Fire Valkyrie. I'm itching to see how Yamato's VF-17 turns out. I would expect it to be robust and tough. I always liked the VF-17, it's a unique VF. I think the price is the main detractor, if the quality is on par if not better than the Fire Valkyrie, I think sales will pick up once the 1st reviews are posted. It wouldn't hurt to see the tampo printed details too, looks bland without them.
  20. Here's the translation from my friend: The scan in question was the one where it just showed the CG models of the Super and Armored Messiah, not the toys.
  21. The trend may be broken, from the translation my friend did of the Figure King scan from a few weeks back, it stated that the armors would be TamashiiWeb exclusives, but made no mention of bundles. Also mentioned that the armor can be looked at as important as the Valkyrie itself or something, I'm guessing because we never see the Messiahs unarmored for that long in Frontier.
  22. I guess I locked in my VF-1A right on time, should have a brown CF on the way in a few days! Love the 1/55. I ignored it when the 1/60 and 1/48 were released, but in 2004 and later in 2008 I realized the err of my ways. Viva 1/55!
  23. ARE THOSE ELGEZORENES ON THE FAR LEFT?1!!!!! Alright they look kind of small but that would be cool. Wonder if I will buy the 19S for Xmas.
  24. After finishing both Macross F movies, I want the TORNADO ARMOR! It was used as much in the movie as much as the super parts were in the series.
