  1. Michel and Luca's valks were already announced to come with their respective super armors. No different form any other toy company
  2. In KOTOR, I felt that the Jedi Order was doomed to failure, eventually some of them would crack and realize that the Order was flawed, especially in KOTOR I. My feeling is that it is better to become Sith, then return, not completely by the book like the jedi, but not inherently evil like the Sith, basically what Revan does in KOTOR I if you choose to go light side.
  3. Seems that Bandai uses the DX title as an indicator of size, they do the same thing with their sentai lines which are bricks. Still the 25 is worthy of the DX title, it is the biggest 25 toy set for release.
  4. VF-25 is significantly bigger than the VF-1, and these might come with stands too.
  5. At the very least I guess we can expect HK-47. I'd like to think Revan died in battle, rather than rejoin the dark side.
  6. True. I am itching to see the gunships/hovercopter transports, and the Night Raven. BTW...I wonder if it is a new Night Raven(the movie one is said to be highly reminiscent of the original), or just the old one retooled to fit the anniversary figures(found out not too long ago that Hasbro has the vintage Night Raven mold intact...not sure when it was found).
  7. DESTRO, the admin at the Tank just gave a tidbit of movie info in the Rock Slide thread: I expected it to be big, but to read all that was surprising. Not even the gvc relaunch in 2002 was that big!
  8. I hope the new installment follows up on Revan's journey from the first KOTOR. God I love that storyline.
  9. I'd agree, if the lasers can angle out more, the closeup shows that the joints may be ball jointed. Better only in looks, something has to do more than look good to be better, otherwise you are better off buying a variable garage kit. Well one of the reasons they are including more hands is so that the gunpod does not fall off, which you just said you liked when Yamato did it. My point is, you shouldn't have to. No, they don't. I've said before that Yamato is ambitious, and we all know that, but if quality is not up to par, that is what some might say is half assed execution. Looks good but don't expect it to stay together. Obviously they direct their efforts to make something look good, but when most of their releases are flawed overall in some way, shape or form, that tells you a lot about their execution. Mineswell include the screwdrivers, superglue, and spare parts. What does DX mean? Deluxe. This toy is perfect variable, has diecast, and is significantly larger than both the plamo and 1/100 toy. It deserves the DX title. It is not completely accurate, but I like the way it looks aside the mega crotch of doom and short nose gear. Exactly Agreed. Really by the way people sound, it seems like they are better off, and more accepting, of garage kits or kitbashed Hasegawas instead. True, and this is possibly the reason Bandai offers the VF-25 in 3 forms, the plamo, the DX, and 1/100.
  10. Heh, there were even more threads when the faulty shoulder issue on the 1/60 v2 VF-1S was brought up. Anyways, I hope Ozma's head lasers are on ball joints, it looks better when the lasers are angled out. I hope we hear more news on the heavy armor too.
  11. AH god damn it didn't the mods say there was a banning in place for even mentioning or posting images from that god forsaken movie?
  12. Yeah but you shouldn't have to fix broke either. I call bullsh!t. Check movie starscream from 2007. Because articulated hands are not only prone to looseness, but also suffer from either sculpt or scale(sad sh!t that the beloved 1/48 has hands that are the same size as the new 1/60), and hell your beloved Yamato only recently realized that putting a tab to secure the gunpod on the articulated hand would keep the gun from falling out. I think they did this with the 19, and 21 too. Oh and Bandai does know about articulated hands, their MG kits have had them for years, and yes they used the tab for weaponry years back. Are you the same guy that complained when Yamato offered bigger swappable hands with the 1/48 GPS armor or Hikaru's 1J? The gullet shouldn't be there pure and simple, it effectively destroys the elegance of the fighter mode. It is worse than the DX VF-25's mega cock of doom. Not to mention, the groin piece on the 19 sits too low, to the point that both the GNU and Revoltech look better, yea it isn't a fair comparison because those don't transform and I understand the reason the crotch and gullet is present is because Yamato wants retractable landing gear bla bla. Yeah the only Macross toys you could afford from Yamato at that price are smaller than the DX VF-25, the 25 is in the same size class as the Macross Plus valks/Zero. OH WAIT. I forgot. Since obviously you are willing to fix broke...add in another $30+ for replacement parts. You can't fix ugly but you can certainly fix broke if you pay up.
  13. Overall Yamato makes enough lemons to make lemonade, Bandai just makes enough to make a powdered, sugar and calorie free version.
  14. Under $50 but bear in mind the VF-25 is not that small, it is significantly larger than the VF-1.
  15. It might have a different assortment number/cardback, when he starts shipping more than 1 per case.
  16. Would I have to apply primer or wash the surface first to make the paint stick better? I've never painted a toy before, so I am very new at this. I may actually go for a high viz scheme(and eventually buy more to do low viz).
  17. Yeah but he doesn't look pissed either.
  18. Do you use brush or airbrush? Also any tips on how to get started with customizing the F-22 toy?
  19. Haven't found any yet. I tried to find painting guides last night but couldn't find any on low viz schemes. I did read on another forum, that if you are going to handle a model/toy, it is best to paint it with enamel instead of acrylic paint. The thing is, I hate the fumes and chemicals from enamels. Can anyone here recommend good acrylics and coats to use? I also wonder how well waterslide decals would adhere to this toy, and what kind of coating I would need to prevent any kind of scratches. Also, for painting something like this, could good results be achieved solely by using the brush to paint? I know a lot of people use airbrushes, but those are expensive.
  20. Bah, he's probably thinking "damn, now see Yamato, this is what we call no broken arms". What I am interested in finding out, is if the newest test shot he handled is actually different from the painted samples on display. Also, I prefer the DX VF-25S headsculpt to the model kit's...I hope the head lasers are on ball joints so they can angle out more.
  21. More bitching and dedicated worshipping. Wait..I guess that doesn't count, that's a given. I'd expect Macross Plus repaints, more exotic ventures into GNU, Destroids smaller than the Monsters, and v2 1/60 low viz VF-1A or D, Super O, and ELINT Seeker.
  22. I would have liked to see gimmicks such as opening internal missle bays, but I'm sure that would have driven up the price. For what we get, we have a bargain. The only comparable toy to this is the G.I. Joe Thunderwing, and that thing is a huge dissapointed compared to the True Heroes F-22. Motormax Toys has already succeeded out of nowhere with satisfying the joe fan's desires for an F-22. It is unlikely Hasbro will make one anytime soon since there is no F-22 in Resolute, and the only fighter plane I heard of from the movie is the Night Raven, which looks like the classic version. Oh also...I did hear that the RAH Night Raven mold is actually intact, not sure when Hasbro found it, but they do have it back! Now...if Motormax makes a "joe scale" F-14 Tomcat that can seat 2 figures inside, and be similar in quality to their recently released F-22, we finally have a great Skystriker replacement. I am simply amazed at how accurate the F-22 is for an affordable joe scale toy, aside from the stabilizers not being angled enough. The quality is great too, as is the detail. No one saw this coming, no one expected it.
  23. They aren't true 1/18 scale though, the F-22 in this line is either 1/32, or very close to it. It is about the same size as the old Skystriker. I haven't heard anything on that yet. The ones you saw may have been carefully repacked, I haven't heard of those two variants specifically being reissued. Not sure if Black timber will be with the Hall of Heroes Snake Eyes, which I suspect is the cartoon battle pack v2 in black with single pack wave 1 head.
