Do the shoulder hinges feel any different, as in different materials, more durable, et al? -

Do the shoulder hinges seem to look slightly a different shade of white than on the 1S? -

I didn't until I found a hairline crack. Weeks went by, then I noticed that I could actually feel the crack. Now I think it is only a matter of time until mine breaks. -

Not sure, the closest one I can think of is Resolute Scarlett but that one is bound to have some differences. -

In the last DVD pack, I think the online stores have already started shipping them out. After studying the pics more, he has a lot more new pieces than I thought he did initially. Looks like he no longer has slippers, has new feet, lower legs, sleeveless upper arms, new forearms that swivel at the wrist instead of breaking the sculpt of the forearm wrappings and swiveling in the middle, nunchuks, and the grappling hook shown with Baroness is actually meant for Storm Shadow. -

After seeing the gamu toys pics, maybe it's me being too optimistic, but it looks like the shoulders are made from a different material on the 1J -

Hey do the shoulder hinges look like they may be made from a different material? There are no breakages reported on the hinges for the 1A, and I now wonder if the materials were changed from then on. -

I think that is the PTE A-10, and if so, it is great, I have it, it even came with an air traffic controller and 2 ECM pods. Unfortunately a 25th joe cannot fit unless you cut away some plastic inside the cockpit, but from what I've read, it's not much to shave off. Excellent A-10 toy, the best joe compatible one out on the market. -
I bought the VF-1J from the Origins line this past summer(stupidly missed out on the 2002 version). I love it. I've always been fond of the 1/55 line, because of nostalgic reasons, and aside from that, I just love the way it looks, it looks good now even compared to modern mass market transforming jet robot toys, and for a 20+ year old toy, that is impressive. I am awaiting further news for the Toynami/Tamashii deal, as I intend to place an order with Kevin once the DYRL valks are finally shipped over here. I'm actually quite worried, because we haven't heard much from the japanese side of things, pertaining to future releases. I really want to see the Strike valk and VF-1D. Thanks for the translation vifam, very informative!

Star Wars toys

An animated style Clone Wars Anakin with full articulation was released a few weeks back in a battle pack, the B'Omarr Monastery battle pack with 2 STAPs. There is a rumor that the main characters in the series are slated to receive full articulation in next year's assortments, it doesn't surprise considering that their brand recognition is high, kids are guaranteed to buy any version of the character, and Hasbro knows collectors will buy the fully articulated versions. Me, I am waiting it out to see what the new versions look like. Agreed, so far the Legacy Line is doing a far better job of giving us the figures we want, articulation wise. -

I finally found pics of the Delta 2 Starfighter from Clone Wars. It looks alright in it's separate modes, I wish the wings opened up like the epIII starfighters. Click here! Make sure to scroll down. -

I've noticed that there haven't been extensive 2 page spreads of the VF-25 DX yet in the magazines. We are little over a month from release, so I hope we see some extensive spreads soon. -

Can you ask them if the materials on the 1J's shoulder are different from the 1S? The tint of the plastic seems different from the rest of the body, similar to the tint that Yamato's POM pieces tend to have. Man I hope that thing is made of POM, that 1J looks beautiful. -

It kicks ass, and is unique. So damn sleek and sexy. I love the swing wings. It screams Anakin, since it is modified with swing wings, and the podracer engines. -

Hey who the hell knows, maybe Toynami will sell US exclusive versions of the Tamashii VF-25s, bundled with their respective accessories. They are already planning US exclusive repaints, so I don't see this out of the realm of possibility(if they can bring over Macross F toys, which I hope). -

I think the Ghost pack has a reasonable price, but the speaker pack is expensive! Hopefully Bandai makes a mass market set of 3 ghosts with a base that has flexible stands that can connect to the base that comes with the RVF-25. -
Poll: Is your v.2 1/60 VF-1S broken or perfect?
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to miriya's topic in Toys
You think I am bitching about this because I like Bandai? It has nothing to do with that! I give constructive criticism because I like the v2 1/60 a lot, more than the 1.48 even, and yes I have both and even the v1 1/60. I simply do not want breakages on a toy, and think that more thorough testing on Yamato's part could have prevented such breakage. Again, it is close to being the most durable VF-1 toy ever made. The way the FAST pack armor attaches and detaches is brilliant. Pull the back towards you. This angles the swing bar. Swing both legs downward simultaneously. This will pop the latch open and expose the hips. At this point, push upwards from the bottom(as in bottom of the feet), this pushes the hip bar out of the nose cavity, and you are done. This literally only takes seconds. -

I'm still waiting for mine! Got the Beachhead/Mainframe comic pack, Beachhead is excellent! I like it better than the single pack version. I dig the RAH accurate head sculpt, very cool, as well as the accurate vest and other excellent accessories. If you loved the original figure you got your modernized version in this set. It is the best of the Wave 6 comic packs. -
Poll: Is your v.2 1/60 VF-1S broken or perfect?
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to miriya's topic in Toys
Are you kidding me? I am no stranger to these toys. Where do you think I even came up with the idea to loosen the shoulders? By handling it! Again, the v2 1/60 is highly sturdy and durable except for that specific area, and the nose latch but even that is not a pain once you figure out the best method to dislodge the hips(which literally only takes seconds). To tell someone to be careful while handling any toy aimed at an older audience is stating the obvious. I don't even think the steps you listed of taking off the head and front of the canopy are even necessary, and David Hingtgen already described how to ease pressure on the shoulder hinge while swiveling it in place for transformation. Nervous? No. Being honest and giving a thorough review and constructive criticism? Yes. -

The review of the test shot that GA Graphic did a few weeks back stated that it was sturdy and not floppy at all, so it already sounds promising to me.
