  1. I got both comic packs at target, mainly for the voyagers, but ended up liking the deluxe figures in the packs the best, surprisingly.
  2. All retailers will have them, the initial sightings were at Target, and that is where I found mine. They are actually close to even with regards to articulation, comic pack Asajji has no ball jointed knees....
  3. Ghost H.A.W.K. and Sting Raider were sighted today. Not without modification, you need to cut away some plastic from the interior of the A-10's cockpit for Wild Weasel to fit. I forgot which thread I saw it in, but it isn't much plastic to cut away.
  4. I actually hope their is a gloss finish applied. In another thread Honestly I really think these are based on Kawamori's concept work, there maybe concept work we have not seen yet but these look similar to his sketches that Dengeki Hobby posted not too long ago. Bandai can make an accurate VF-25 if they wanted to, but Kawamori may have wanted the model kit team to go that direction, whereas he may have wanted the toy team to go in the direction of making the VF-25 the way he originally wanted it to be. Being that Bandai loves to make multiple versions of a mecha design(no no, not the RX-78 like everyone brings up, Dragonar anyone?), I think it is possible that we see a TV accurate 25 later on in the line. Would I buy a more accurate one? I don't know, I've warmed up to the balanced look of the DX, over the skinny appearance of the TV 25.
  5. Don't. What if Bandai bundles these bad boys up with their Super armor(Alto), and heavy armor(Ozma) later on? That's why I haven't preordered.
  6. We are trying to determine that, however even owners who had the spur edge down had breakages too.
  7. Definitely looks different, the shoulder hinge looks like it is molded in a completely different shade of white than the majority of the other parts, unlike on the 1S where the hinge is the exact same color as all of the other white parts.
  8. Yes. It doesn't have the v1 accurate gear, but it makes up for it by having awesome gear and weaponry, and having a darker color scheme overall, with a nice vest added too. The comic pack Firefly is honestly more geared toward sabotaging something, the wave 3 single pack version looks more like a commando. The comic pack version has more playability, and the accessories are excellent(the wave 13 single pack Firefly just has the same backpack, not the other accessories like the awesome gun, goggles, etc). Honestly the wave 4 comic pack of Storm Shadow vs Firefly was worth getting, I was very hesitant because Storm Shadow is shirtless and it didn't look right, but ultimately the comic was good, the accessories were awesome, and Storm Shadow isn't so bad, I do have white paint now, so I will be painting him eventually. Once painted(which really there isn't many parts that need to be painted, the torso for one, maybe the lower arms), it will be a better figure.
  9. Just buy the wave 3 Firefly(or comic pack one), and comic pack Beachhead, comic pack Beachhead has all new heads, weaponry, and accessories such as a v1 accurate vest. Eventually the legs may be used later on, Hasbro likes to plan ahead, making sure one mold can be used for another character, at least this is the case with Transformers but I would not be surprised if they are doing this with all their other lines. The Resolute comic pack of Tunnel Rat and Storm Shadow has a swappable mask for Storm Shadow that is a match for Ninja Force Dice, as are the weapons.
  10. Resolute Figures! It is excellent, great size to play with, accuracy wise, it could use some work but it is better than the VVV jets from G.I. joe. It has a more "RAH" feel.
  11. This set is actually already out, I think the msrp here is $21.99. Not sure, I think it has some, but not all of the ones pictured. I think it is either a Sideshow or Medicom 1/6 figure.
  12. It can, you have to get it in at an angle, but it works. It also aids in stability.
  13. Doesn't surprise me. Bandai knows how to make accurate toys, all along I thought there had to be a good reason why the DX 25s ended up the way they did, as different as they look from the show.
  14. Just got Obi Wan's Delta7B. Everything is painted on it, which is to my liking. The playability is great, due to the separating aspect of the droid ship. When you separate the ships the droid ship's wings automaticially swing open. I like it, but like the ROTS ship, and AOTC ship better, because the wings on both pop open, on this one they don't, but it is a neat ship, since it bridges the gap between the two with regards to design(it has elements of both). The droid ship actually has room for a regular clone or human pilot figure as well, I wouldn't be surprised if Asohka ends up in the droid ship in the show later on, I doubt Hasbro sculpted and painted all that interior detail "just cause".
  15. Graham, was the price that they listed for shipping to you in Hong Kong? For the states, if that price was for Hong Kong, for us it will be even more.
  16. The toys seem to be based on the concept art, while the model is accurate to the show. I don't see anything wrong with that, who knows, maybe Bandai will make a show accurate 25 later on, kind like how they made 2 Soul SPEC Dragonars, 1 based on the opening silhouette, 1 based on how it looks like in the show.
  17. So officially the 2nd run VF-0S goes on sale when? This is the one with the confirmed fixed arms correct? I love the VF-0 design, might pick this up for xmas.
  18. I hope so, because the v2 1/60 is one of the very best VF-1 toys out there.
  19. I think it is a Kawamori sketch, it is very similar to his sketches from Macross 7 on up.
  20. Don't know as of yet, we deducted previously that it was probably because of tight shoulders, however, even with parts loosened, some of us including myself had a crack. I really want to know if the hinges are indeed made out of POM, if it is POM, there is a problem as proven by the breakages on my figure, and others. In this case, diecast is the better alternative provided it will not snap. After extensively handling my 1S, the hinge really feels like ABS more than POM.
  21. After reading another thread, I realized that some people had breakages with the pin installed with the rough side facing downwards. That is how it is like on the right shoulder of my 1S, but the left one is the one that broke, with the rough side of the pin facing up. At this point, all of the reported cases of broken arms are on the 1S only, yet a few members have chimed in and said the material for the shoulders might be the same for all releases. Not sure what to make of this situation and what causes the breakages.
  22. Excellent! That is quick! The only thing to find out is if the guy who had a replacement part break before even installing it had the pin upside down. If the upside down pin is the real issue that is a shame, as such a cheap part mutilates an expensive figure. I've heard people say Yamato's are not meant to be played with, bla bla, but with the new 1/60 VF-1, Yamato has proved that they can make a high durability toy, so long as the guys at the factory assemble the toy correctly. I have had no issues so far with the right arm, and the smooth end of the pin is facing up on that one. I still pose the left arm but now my obstacle is: a-trying to figure out a way to get that pin out, miraculously repair the hinge piece with a hairline crack(which is very small), and reinstalling the pin correctly or b-opting for replacement shoulder hinges. Either way, accessing the shoulder hinges to remove them from the body is not easy. It is the pin on the shoulder hinge, which enables the hinge to swivel out and in from the body. The theory thus far, is that if the rough end of the pin is facing upwards in battroid mode, breakage is inevitable. However a member did get replacement hinges, and the hinge broke before installation on the toy(he was just testing it out). The mystery right now is which direction were the pins on his replacement parts facing. If you have the pins correctly inserted, then you have no worries. The nose hatch is very easy to dislodge(we previously thought it was difficult), and this toy (with correct pin insertion) is more durable than the 1/48. People have said to handle this like a model kit, I say no, I have one, and provided it has the pins inserted right, it is of high durability. Unfortunately for me, my dilemma is fixing the mistake that the factory workers made. Such a simple mistake is a costly loss on the part of the collector. So those of you with correctly inserted arm pins, you are the lucky ones, I wish mine was like yours.
  23. Thanks man, I appreciate it. How are the pins installed on the hinge? On my 1S, they are facing opposite directions, the rough end of the pin is facing the top on the left shoulder, where my hairline crack is, while on the right, the rough end of the pin is facing downwards.
