  1. I'm just being patient and waiting for them. Actually, I can see Bandai doing this if the set lacks a stand. That way the exclusivity isn't entirely cancelled out.
  2. Should be, it is the same price as the YF-19.
  3. I'm just trying to find out if the hinges are fixed for sure before I buy more in the future. It is also one of my favorite VF-1 toys, and my favorite Yamato toy for sure, which is why I am so disappointed that mine had a crack.
  4. He did get his replacement part back when the only VF-1 that was out was the VF-1S. If the hinges are truly fixed, then chances are the replacements you get will not break. You have to unscrew the hinges from the backplate. I'm not exactly sure how to get to that part. Well good for you. If everyone was in the same boat as you(you also had some problem free 1st release VF-0S toys), then the amount of criticism would have been far less. My 1S was had a hairline crack the first time I removed it from the box, I didn't think it was a big deal, just thought it was a mold line, then months later I could feel it and it was definitely a crack. I handle my toys quite extensively, if I didn't, I wouldn't be so vocal about the 1/48's fragility being highly exaggerated, or saying that the new 1/60 is more durable except for the hinge. Hell the hip bar removal from the nose cone is easy as hell to pull off too. The fact that you have problem free v2 1/60s just means that you had the better luck of the draw, I'd love to say that a lot of us 1S owners can the say the same, but the fact is, we can't. If you have a 1/48, the shoulder hinges on that should feel the same as the replacement hinge for your 1/60. Yes but if you don't speak up and share constructive criticism no company will care and will be happy to just neglect all the problems and keep making products anyways because they know people will buy them. Tab B would never have been fixed if no one brought it up.
  5. Was it scripted by Garth Ennis? No
  6. It is. It isn't. Oh man I didn't even know Target was getting those! I've seen a link for it at RebelScum, it is higly articulated, looks pretty neat, and for the size, not bad for the price. These are sculpted by Art Asylum, and I like their toys. I might pick up an Anakin, maybe a ANH Vader if they make one.
  7. Several? There are currently only two, the Hikaru 1S, and the 1J, the guy who bought a Roy 1S had both hinges cracked, and we don't know if his was from the 2nd run or 1st.
  8. Nope. I basically agree with what IXTL said:
  9. Until someone can confirm that the hinges are now made out of POM or if Yamato says the problem is fixed and someone outside of them can confirm it, they are not fixed to me.
  10. OverDrive had the cheapest price, but if you click on the "buy now" link on their site, the bottom of the page says "sold out". BBTS has it for $155+shipping, I don't think angolz got it in yet, and HLJ is just a bit cheaper w/EMS than BBTS due to the yen/dollar ratio. Those are the cheapest prices I can think of right now.
  11. Is the super armor for Michel's VF-25G the same as Alto's aside from color trim?
  12. Really? Well when Yamato fixes the problem the criticism will stop. I don't think it can be called bitch**ng unless some fanboy rant is implemented, like "oh man YAmato sucks why didn't they bla bla OH MAN WHY DIDN'T YAMATO GET TO MAKE THIS OMG MY INTERNETZ"!
  13. Indeed it is. Yes but you also told us how you handle it, and it's just like the way we handle it; carefully. When I first saw the crack in the hinge I thought I was just seeing a mold line, or just seeing things, months later I was able to feel it. Yes I can get replacement parts via OverDrive and I am thankful that you helped set that up, but the truth is, the shoulder hinges prevent the new 1/60 VF-1 from being the most durable VF-1 toy that Yamato has made. It's solid in every place that the 1/48 isn't, is much more poseable and more durable except for the hinges. Why cheap pin could take down a $100+ dollar toy baffles me.
  14. My Yamato v2 1/60 VF-1S has a crack in a shoulder hinge. Obviously this was overlooked in the factory. Obviously some workers in the factory weren't doing their job. Obviously this is on account of laziness.
  15. I don't think they failed, if it was Kawamori and Bandai's intention to go a different route and base it off of Kawamori's original intent to make the battroid mode big and bulky(which was said somewhere around here), then I think they succeeded in what they aimed for. The main things I am disappointed with are the lack of space in the heatshield to store the gun holding/trigger hands, and lack of a place to store the gunclip in battroid mode(though the tip you gave earlier works pretty well). Sure a lot of people here are disappointed because Yamato didn't make this, and they think that if Yamato did make this, that it would have been anime accurate and whatnot. However we don't even know this for sure, Yamato gets along well with Kawamori and if he wanted something a certain way, I would not be surprised if they followed suit, like they are now with making the VF-11 bigger on account of him retconning the size. So if Yamato had the license it is entirely possible that their VF-25 may have ended up just as bulky as the DX VF-25 from Bandai, on account of Kawamori. Some fans don't agree with the guy, I'm not terribly disappointed with how the DX VF-25 toys turned out or MP Starscream, but I know some fans over here are. Yes
  16. I have a feeling they will, especially coming off the nostalgia from the 25th anniversary, higher brand recognition from the Macross F TV series, and even more to come with the movie coming in summer. I think we are going to see a ton of stuff, it really is a great time to be a Macross fan. Obscure designs tend to be "safe/less risky" to make during movie years, so I hope we see some DX Q Leas, and a non exclusive superarmor bundle for Alto, as well as a nonexclusive heavyarmor bundle for Ozma. It wouldn't really surprise me if we eventually got TV accurate DX VF-25 toys too, but I honestly prefer the balanced look of the DX in battroid mode, so I'll be leaning towards current releases. Oh and the obscure design from the show I want most is Alto's VF-171EX. It's only been a few weeks, be patient man. Trust me, I know the feeling, I reluctantly didn't pre-order primarily because I am waiting to see if Bandai either makes a nonexclusive Alto/super parts bundle, or eventually offers the super parts as nonexclusive items later on.
  17. Are you able to cancel your pre-order? Hmmm Imageanime has it for $180 over here, + shipping.
  18. Hehe, but, but.....we don't need a zapruder film to show us that the hinges might be made out of POM now....check still frames 1, then 2..
  19. Maybe... I put 2 of Hathaway's pics into photoshop to show what I mean:
  20. If you are talking about the DX Alto or Ozma VF-25 toys, they can be had for less, go to BBTS or HLJ, they are cheaper there. BBTS will cost $160+ when all is said and done, while with EMS, HLJ should be a bit cheaper.
  21. If I remember correctly it is orders@angolz.com. The transaction page probably just timed out, once you email them, they will probably email a link to a page where you can resume the transaction. I have ordered from them before, my order via EMS was shipped on the 24th and I received my package on the 30th. I don't have any complaints. Their sales are great, they have the red CMS Legioss/Tread set for $110, and Yamato's 1/60 VF-0A Shin type w/Ghost for $105.
