  1. You have made your point redundant.
  2. The look of the toys make it obvious that the direction for the toys was not anime accuracy, and it was not because of an inability to do so or because a Chinese team may have been farmed out to design it. It's more than likely because the toys went the direction of looking how Kawamori originally intended the 25 to look like(slender fighter mode, thick battroid mode). It is obvious that Bandai and crew could have made an anime accurate toy, but they went another route. One big clue to this is how the VF100s VF-25 toy, with swappable parts, could have easily had the anime accurate crotch piece/placement, yet didn't and followed it's bigger brother. So no being designed possibly by the chinese design team doesn't bear any relevance towards that. Not to mention Kawamori approved it, and he is a hard to get approval from, so obviously Bandai and co did something he liked with the designs. You have to take into account that the VF-25 design in the anime didn't please everyone, and I particularly like the thicker look of the DX compared to the much more skinnny anime design. The VF-25 in the anime looks like a variable fighter from Virtual On more than it looks like something out of Macross.
  3. No matter who designed the toy shouldn't change the way the toy is viewed. Just because the toy may be revealed to be of Chinese origin/design doesn't make this toy inferior or suddenly of lesser quality. If it wasn't designed by a Bandai team, it is a very impressive toy made by a newcomer to Macross toys.
  4. Were they able to make the vertical stabilizers much larger than what was shown in the initial promo shots? Also, how does it compare, sizewise, with Yamato's 1/60 YF-21 & YF-19?
  5. Did this "little birdy" say more, and is this "little birdy" associated with, or friends with Yamato?
  6. NYCC Coverage: Wolverine Origins
  7. NYCC Coverage: Marvel Transformers Crossovers
  8. NYCC Coverage: Marvel Universe Posted here because it was the closest thread I could find for 3-3/4" Marvel figures(Origins Wolvy figures are in the same scale and compatible).
  9. Same here. It's more slender, but I still like the DX. Yet not too long like the model kit, the VF100s has the best gear on any VF-25 incarnation by Bandai to date.
  10. Mine started as a hairline, and grew. I brace the shoulders when I move them, lift the hinge over the stopper when going from gerwalk to battroid and back, and loosened the shoulders months ago. It may start small, but the crack will grow, it's inevitable. It will grow to the point of splitting apart, which mine is starting to do.
  11. I agree, I don't care if it isn't painted, so long as it won't break.
  12. BP8 is much easier to avoid breaking. My Hikaru 1S is still in good shape. It won't break so long as you do not push it past the stopper and are careful attaching and removing FAST packs. The v2 1/60 shoulder hinge is far different. Broke is broke, and this hasn't been even a year yet. It's their decision to overlook potential breakages and rush these out into the market that gets me. The shoulder hinge is the only blemish on an otherwise very sturdy design, sturdier than even the 1/48. Once it is, well if it is ever fixed, it will be a sturdier toy overall than the 1/48.
  13. I forgot if the page is here or in a separate thread, but m0n5t3r's fix was to remove the pins from the hinges, sand down the burr edges, then reinsert the pins. Before doing so, apply super glue to the crack, and let it dry.
  14. Shoulders ruined? Yeah. Broke is broke.
  15. Shipping from HLJ now is currently $20+
  16. Same spot as on mine!
  17. I've long argued that the fragility of Yamato's toys is far exaggerated, but this shoulder hinge issue is ridiculous. You mean to tell me that exponentially complex figures such as the SV-51 Nora and YF-21 can come out of the factory problem free, but that Yamato didn't take the time to find out if the VF-1 shoulder hinges would break before releasing it? A tiny pin that probably doesn't even cost a dollar can ruin a $100+ toy? Really? My advice is to buy at your own risk and wait until the fixes are implemented; if they will be implemented. They do
  18. No. Bracing the arm does not prevent breakage. Not sure if you knew this, but I was one of the ones advocating loosening the shoulder screws, in hopes of preventing breakages, way back in fall. If the superglue was such an easy fix that wasn't a band aid and actually worked, then none of us would be so vocal about the breakages. Not a widespread problem. Is it bad? Yes. Is it easier to fix as a whole? Yes. There is one guy on here that just used a screw from an older toy and it was all a matter of changing out the screw. Good for you. I've transformed mine more and mine has a crack. This isn't an insult to MacrossWorld, but look where you're at. It's not surprising that people are okay with it. People here are content with buying potentially broken figures(or figures that will inevitably break) for the sake of anime accuracy(or something close). They can live with it, and are happy with it.
  19. The big question is, will Yamato actually fix this problem or continue to produce the toys on account of them knowing people will buy them anyways?
