    A/J/S: toywise, the only differences are the heads. In the series, squadron leaders pilot the S model, flight team leaders pilot the J, and cannon fodder and low ranking pilots get the A. 1/48 V2: correct, never made. DYR/? Vs TV series: different cockpit display(HUD in TV cockpit, none in DYR/? Cockpit), TV versions come with swappable animation accurate rounded hands, DYRL? Valks come with blocky swappable hands. DYRL? Main characters. Valks are all Skull Team, for TV, Hikaru, Kakixaki and Max are part of Vermillion with Hikaru moving to Skull after Roy dies. Milia joins Vermillion after marrying Max in the TV series. In DYRL? She never pilots a valkyrie, just her red Qrau

    His S was in stock as back order at anime-export up until a few months back. I should've ordered it. Wonder if Gattai Hobby can track it down. There are also a few on ebay but the asking price is $225+. Now his J, that one is a lot harder to track down. I remember the Bandai Max and Milia reissues not selling well either. It just makes me believe even more that DYRL? is favored in Japan over the TV series. Even Kaiyodo made the Revoltech Max and Milia as exclusives, while Skull Team was mass market. Maybe they thought Max/Milia wouldn't sell?

    I wonder if Max and Milia even sell well typically in Japan? I remember the 1/48's could be had for dirt cheap at Angolz and other places for a long time. Their VF-22S' are almost always on clearance. Part of me thinks maybe Yamato released too many Max models at once, iirc didn't his VF-1A, VF-1S and TV VF-1A ship all around a the same time or little in between? In general too, it seems like DYRL? models are more favorable in Japan. Just my thoughts on why we haven't seen a Max/Milia rerelease. I would love to get one of Max, maybe Milia. Hell throw in the Komilia pod for Milia and side covers for both and I'd be happy. For the TV series valks, it seems like Roy is a sure seller no matter what, followed by Hikaru's VF-1J.

    Actually I remember reports of broken VF-1D shoulders, it wasn't until Max's valks were released that the V2 line had a period of no broken shoulder reports(until the VT-1 and 1st run of the GPB1 set with Hikaru's VF1J).

    Bet Kawamori dictated the color change(pale grey, lighter blue), like he did with the VF-0A cannon fodder,(toy was grey, animation=brown/tan)

    There's usually a toyfestival in Japan in May or something. I suspect the next DX is 1 or 3 things, DX VF-27 Renewal Ver with FAST packs and ghost(hope so because I dug the valk in the 2nd movie), 171EX or something else.

    An easier transformation from battroid to fighter as well. I think getting rid of delimiter mode would definitely aid in accomplishing that. I basically want a new mold that quality-wise, is on par with the Yamato Fire Valkyrie. I mean I doubt it'll ever be made simply because the existing 1/60 YF-21/VF-22S sculpt is pretty good as is, but I would pay up for a new version.

    Yep. As unlikely as it may be, due to the 1/60 YF-21 and VF-22 sculpts being quite good, I still want to see V2 versions. Due to the delimiter mode, and parts associated with it, it is a PITA to get back into fighter mode. Honestly I could do without the limb removal gimmick. Also woul like extra optional parts for battroid and gerwalk to fatten up the legs, similar to what's used on the Excaliburs by Yamato. For the 22S, anime accurate bellyplates, and optional swappable bellyplayates that can house the guns would be great too. Make it as solid as the VF-19's and I have no qualms paying $230+
