It's like Dark Knight, the toys were made because Mattel knew that kids would buy toys even if the movie wasn't meant for them. It's the parent's responsibility to look at the ratings before letting their kid(s) set foot into the theater. I do see your point, but ultimately, if the kid sees stuff that he isn't supposed to, it's his or her parent's fault, the movie lives up to the PG-13 rating, and I honestly think that if it was dumbed down, it would be getting way more worse reviews than it already is.

The original 8-9 Transformers(The Fallen is one), and their descendants. In the comic adaptation, the Fallen offers to turn Megatron into a Prime but this doesn't play out. In the movieverse, I'm not sure who the ancestors of the other Transformers(other than Optimus) are. The writers did mention that the Fallen and his brothers were influenced by Judas and other disciples of Jesus, where the Fallen would be like Judas, a traitor.

The more likely scenario is "hey WTF is this man? Who cares lets snap shots and get this ^&*t over with". -
There was something left out in the movie, basically he is the only one left because he is orphaned; the Fallen succeeded in destroying every descendant of the Primes except for Optimus; after the 7-8 brothers of the Fallen died, the Fallen hunted down their descendants, trying to eradicate any chance that he would be opposed.

I could be wrong on this, but the Decepticon's presence on Earth and why they are being hunted down in ROTF might be explained in the 3 movie prequels that IDW has made; Defiance, Alliance, and Reign of Starscream. Even then, the Decepticons aside from Jetfire and Wheelie, have shown that all they will do is destroy whatever they want to get what, or who they want. Had Demolishor and Sideways not been taken out in the beginning, chances are other Decepticons would join them and destroy all of Shanghai, not just collateral damage. The Decepticons don't care for lives other than their own, in this movie, they are only on Earth to aid the Fallen.

Well Lennox and the govt. guy(forgot this guy's name) went over it when they were arguing. The Decepticons want Sam and Lennox doesn't want to budge while the other guy doesn't care and wants the Autobots to leave and let the Decepticons have Sam he even suggests having negotiations with the Decepticons. Lennox and NEST know that the Decepticons won't really negotiate or do anything peaceful, so NEST and the Autobots are hunting them down. After what happened in TF1, I think they are trying to prevent anything like it from happening again. Also, the Decepticons had just blown up an entire carrier fleet just by crashing into it, and wrecked shop elsewhere, so it's not like a peace treaty with them or a hug would stop them. It doesn't help that Starscream and Blackout could use EMP's to block out communication. As for Jetfire, by the time Prime even saw him he had helped the humans and perhaps Prime figured, if Jetfire were really bad he would have already killed the humans that he transported, like Sam, Leo, et al.

To make the low viz VF-1S even more TV-like, Yamato could just repaint TV Hikaru in Roy's purple flight suit colors and dark helmet, and have the UN SPACY kites printed in brighter colors rather than dim.

Neat tidbit...Charles Adler voiced Starscream in ROTF and Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe Resolute...neat because Chris Latta had voiced Cobra Commander in the original G.I. Joe cartoon and Starscream in G1. A satellite works great for Soundwave's alt mode, too bad the figure did not turn out that well. Agreed, it ended way too quick, I and my friend were like "That's it?".

The fully extended fins look great, much better than before.

That review was HILARIOUS. I love how the focus for this movie was primarily shifted to Prime and his importance. Bumblebee was great in TF1 and he is in ROTF, but most fans wanted to see more of Prime, and to see what he was capable of when he didn't have to hold back for fear of hurting innocent civilians around(like in the city in TF1). In ROTF we got our wish. There really should have been less time spent on the college scenes, and more on the new characters who were barely shown...hell Jetfire plays a part in the movie but it would have been great to see more of him. Definitely one of the more interesting, irate Autobots. Sideswipe was bad ass for 5 minutes and Jolt...barely did anything. Hell Devastator barely did anything.

The funny thing is, the guy who drew that designed some of the Transformers in ROTF. Their toys combine but the regular, deluxe Skids and Mudflap do not combine. Not leader, they are part of the Human Alliance line, which takes characters typically seen in deluxe size(cars so far), and gives them voyager sized toys....which are close to Alternators/Binaltech size. Skids, Sideswipe and Barricade are confirmed, but no mention of Mudflap yet. I don't think Human Alliance Skids can combine with anyone, Mudflap hasn't even been confirmed for the line. -
I love the way it looks, dark grey ftw

I can see where he is coming from, as the whole point of even bringing properties like Transformers and G.I. Joe to the screen was to prove that they can be just as big as Spiderman or Batman. If Hasbro just wanted to keep the campy stuff they would have never ventured towards a goal of having blockbuster movies for their properties. Yes both Joe and TF have been known for campy cartoons, but the movies are going beyond that where they can compete with the likes of other cartoon/comic/toy-based movies. Hell I know Transformers and G.I. Joe comics aren't going to be the dawn of a new Renaissance with illustrations of Snake Eyes or Megatron drawing people to the Louvre, but that doesn't stop me from utilizing what I learned in art school when providing constructive criticism of the comics. Honestly, I had a great time watching this movie, I thought the 1st one was great but this one was better. If you liked the first one you might love this one, don't let the reviews stop you. I had read and heard of many of the reviews, but it still managed to be an awesome film. The forest scene was $%^&*(ing amazing especially after seeing Prime have to hold back so much against Megatron in TF1 since he was around so many civilians. Literally an EPIC battle. They did, like in the carrier scene. I saw the Jordanian assistance not something of American superiority but something likely to happen if a battle where to happen in that region(or close to it) of the world. And unlike the first one you don't have to wait for 40 minutes for consistent action to start brewing. TF1 was the intro that we all sat through because it was the first live action, but this one hits hard from the very beginning. The Shanghai battle was cool. One of my main disappointments was the severe lack of screentime of many of the new Autobots(same could be said about the Constructicons). Jolt is barely in there. The Arcee sisters show up but not much. Sideswipe is mainly in the beginning, not much else. What I do like, is that despite limited screentime, some of the above characters got some excellent figures in the movie line.

It's hard to predict the cracks. Some were cracked out of box, some cracked eventually.

Worth BuyingLeader Optimus Prime Human Alliance Bumblebee Voyager Megatron Skids Mudflap The Fallen Worth AvoidingSoundwave If Leader Prime wasn't designed and engineered so damn well, Human Alliance Bumblebee would be the best figure in the line. He is definitely much more fun to pose, most accurate too.

A LOT easier, one thing that definitely improved was the clarity, no more "HEY OPTIMUS IS TRANSFORMING BECAUSE WE CAN SEE THE EDGES OF HIS TRUCK ON THE EDGE OF THE SCREEN MOVING WHILE HEARING A TOKEN NOISE", no instead you actually see the action this time around. Much better camera work in my opinion, it wasn't as jittery or shift around to sequences happening in parallel to the main events on scene as much. The less visual confusion, the better, and thankfully scenes like the forest fight turned out awesome instead of an confusing visual mess. Overall I like it better than the 1st movie, the humor wasn't as bad, and I was worried that the twins would suck, but they're not bad. The movie did end rather quick. The Autobots fight more brutally this time around too, for those of you who were mad that Prime had to hold back in the last film, you'll love him in this film. I'm glad the trailers did not show the best scenes.

I think the automorph on my Sunstorm is broken too. I like what Haskaramy was aiming for but man when that automorph goes out of wack, it sucks. -

You should be able to if you take apart the forearm by removing 2 screws. The seats are able to swivel, so I'm thinking they are on rotating hexagonal joints that Hasbro uses every now and then, to have things be able to rotate but stay into place. The seats were designed to resemble Bumblebee's forearm armor from the movie, so I don't mind as much as I did when I saw the first images of it. Ravage and Canon Bumblebee. I've heard Canon Bumblebee turned out to be bad, but I have Ravage and Ravage is worth picking up. As with Soundwave, he suffers from minimal transformation(more like a cat stretching out it's frontlegs and covering it's eyes while trying to touch it's toes). Articulation in panther mode is good, much better than galleries online lead me to believe. -
Got the VF-1A w/Super/Strike parts, right hinge cracked out of box, and the small block/rectangle above the intake used to secure the intake under the chestplate in fighter mode nearly cracked off while transforming due to tightness. Luckily I was able to get some krazy glue in there before further damage.
