  1. Hey, is it me, or does the VF100's VF-19 look like it can transform without parts removal? All I see removable are those 2 leg panels above the ankle from behind, looks like you don't necessarily have to remove the hands to transform into fighter mode.
  2. They have done numerous redesigns for other toys from other series, look how many times they redid the RX-78 in the MSiA! line, and how many reiiterations of the EVA-01 that we've gotten over the years.
  3. I can. They've milked EVA and other anime series aside from Gundam before, and being that they sponsored Frontier and have the 1/60 license as well as 1/100, 1/72, 1/48, et al, I don't see them stopping. I like the sculpt of the DX but I would like to see an anime accurate one eventually, not so much for the looks but because of the arguably better handling qualities. The model which is based on the show has superior articulation/range of motion and other things that I prefer.
  4. Hey guys, do the models have thigh swivel joints? Also, what are the problem/breakage prone areas? For example, when handling or light posing, which areas should I be careful with when posing or transforming? I'm definitely considering to buy at least 1 to check it out, I like the sculpt(I appreciate both the DX and models for their differences). Man I should have bought one at Otakon. Ozma's Super Messiah looked great, especially with the Cathy stickers.
  5. I meant prices for the Armored Messiah models and toys, taking shipping into account, you are paying about $100 give or take for the model. I wouldn't be surprised if Bandai made an all new set of VF-25 toys next year, completely redesigned.
  6. I hope all future releases have the same amount of tampo prints as the 1J CF, had no idea they even got the rescue markings printed. When it comes to tampo, the more the better.
  7. Definitely much better. How is the quality; better than previous releases?
  8. Yeah it's like if you want the model, you are paying a bit under $100($80+shipping from what I've seen), and $200 or a bit under/over give or take, for the toy. My main issue with this isn't so much the looks, I actually don't mind the hip placement, but the fact the intakes, since they are placed higher than on the model, are prone to scratching off the paint from the LERX's. It's annoying to try to angle the hips out more to avoid scratching the LERX paint while posing.
  9. The hip armor was a surprise for me, still trying to find a way to keep them attached, perhaps the clear plastic ties that Hasbro LOVES to include in nearly all of their action figure releases may help.
  10. With the movie coming out, I'm going to wait a bit on the Armored Messiah, I wouldn't be surprised if they retooled if and made it better for a spring re-release.
  11. I did. Not bad, very sturdy and the "gerwalk" mode can be made to look better just by utilizing more of the moving parts. The separate robots are decent, what hurts them the most is lack of paint and very bright yellow. I would have preferred crimson and gold for Iron Man, like the movie colors, instead of bright yellow and red. Though this may have been done as an homage to Bob Layton's space armor design, as the mold for this figure takes cues from it and it was very bright in the comics. Spiderman really needs a paint wash to bring out the molded line details. This is also the most articulated Spiderman Crossovers figure so far.
  12. Yes they are worth it. They have a significant jump in detail, features, and in my opinion, playability. Very sturdy toys and robot modes look great, better than the deluxes in my opinion. The only thing that the deluxe Sideswipe has over the HA version is being able to integrate the back kibble much better. Also better range of motion for the legs. Other than that, the HA version is more detailed and just has more going on with it.
  13. I still want the longer neck in battroid.
  14. Graham and others who own the Armored Messiah, can you transform it to fighter or gerwalk, leaving the head poking out, with extension piece, but with the head turned facing backwards? I know this sounds weird but I really don't like parts swapping. I'd leave to leave as much, if not all, parts on during transformation.
  15. Yeah, DX 25S Ozma with super parts. Want the Armored Messiah not in a hurry to get it.
  16. The main things I don't like about the DX's are the paint scraping, shoulder ball joints getting loose too quick(would have preferred universal ratchet joints), shoulders not being able to move much without the shoulder armor moving with it, the ARMORED DX not being able to retract the head with the neck extension, and lack of thigh swivel.
  17. Compare how many Gundam animated series/OVA's/movies/novels/manga there are to Macross. Obviously Gundam is going to get more merchandise.
  18. He has magnets, albeit not complete ones. They flip up from under his forearms when you bend the elbow all the way. Not sure, I'd say fall at earliest, or maybe Winter, or early Spring next year. I've heard that Blackout is set for release next year.
  19. There's got to be some way to transform the valk without having to take the neck piece off. The most disappointing thing so far to me is that the neck piece is just an add on, not a retooled part which doesn't require you to add additional parts.
  20. Have you figured out a way to transform it back into fighter mode with the neck extension still on? I'm hoping there is a way to somehow do this.
  21. Looks like thigh(below intake) articulation is retained:
