  1. What I'd like to hear about, is which of the valks in the poll are most likely to be made, from then on it would be easier for all of us to debate which one we'd want to see more. Maybe a follow up poll to this with the least likely valks to be made eliminated from it. Definitely, and it was popular enough to be included in the upcoming Macross game for PSP. I the 2SS makes it into toy form, be it in the VF HI METAL line or by Yamato in 1/60 scale.
  2. Max and Milia are in Macross II as much as a VF-1 pilot sits in a VF-1's head. If I remember right, some of Sylvie's teammates had their valks with yellow stripes. Nexx had blue trim and a different rifle, that'd probably be the version I'd get, not to mention he was my favorite character in the series. Kind of like Macross II's version of Focker and Max only one person I wonder the same thing, the most recognizable paint schemes are for Sylvie and Nexx, it may actually be more profitable for Yamato to make an offsreen paint job for the VF-2SS than it would be to release VF-2SS's with yellow stripes. I figure $200 is high, but might be reasonable for a 1/60 VF-2SS with SAP and 3 attack bits. It's not a mold I see Yamato pushing a lot of, and I think that will factor into the cost like it did with the VT-1 Super O.
  3. I want a Revoltech Qrau for the VF-1 to fight. I'm looking forward to the PT VF-1.
  4. Hmmm..in some of the images I've seen the hands still looked like they could stay on in fighter mode, and the head looked like it was covered by the shoulder flaps completely(fin included), unlike the previous DX and plamo kits.
  5. Anyone else think it's probably because of Kawamori's input? TF fans complained after he altered the MP Starscream design and the THS-02 Convoy didn't have the most flattering truck mode.
  6. To be honest, the most ideal choice for a Revoltech PT Valkyrie is the VF-2SS IMHO. The design lends itself to dynamic posing, like the midway points of the OVA's where it shows it turning around then doing a pose. I'd especially be excited if Kaiyodo uses this as an opportunity to make a deluxe set for a VF-2SS SAP with attack bits on their own stands
  7. Technically it is perfect transformation, the landing gears are swappable I think, and the only pieces that are removable are some leg pieces for anime accuracy, but that's just for looks they don't need to be removed for transformation.
  8. It's not, it's perfect transformation
  9. With swappable landing gear, I think Bandai can make a fairly anime accurate YF-21/VF-22
  10. I'd love to see Yamato tackle the combo(provided the qc is superb). In my opinion, both the CM's and Toynami Legioss toys are flawed. While they balance each other out in a way(in other words, in areas where one is flawed, the other does better, and vice versa), the Legioss toys from both companies are disappointing. I was almost certain I would like the CM's Legioss much more than the Toynami, and then realized that both were lacking in many areas. So I'd like to see Yamato take on the Legioss and Tread combo. They tend to be passionate about accuracy and now, are moving more towards more toyetic releases, as in, having better handling qualities(compare the v2 1/60 VF-1 to the 1/48, the 1/60 holds poses better, is less likely to have loose joints over time, feels more solid, et al). Also I'd like to see at least 1/48 scale for these, for the sake of getting a better Legioss and being a big enough to have a bunch of moving parts without being prone to looseness.
  11. The valks that bore the "Hi-Metal" label from Bandai were the 1/55 DYRL? valks like the Strike, ELINT, Super-O, etc.
  12. There have been v2's of Mazinger and other hero robots in the SOC line. Also, Bandai has redone some of their EVAs in the Soul SPEC line.
  13. Some of you may disagree with me: SFIV-Limiting super/ultra moves to just 1. I was fine with only being able to use 1 in SIII 3rd Strike but at leas you had the option to pick from your ultra/supers before the match started. Ken is too unbalanced and while he was good in 3rd Strike he is cheap as hell in IV. Not to mention, goodbye traditional comic/anime inspired look, welcome Street Fighter meets Power Stone! KOFXII-Graphics are awesome but not at the cost of losing many DM/SDM's, and command moves compared to KOFXI. The best KOF for me would be Ultimate Match 98 with the graphics/animation of XII.
  14. Toynami No Longer Importing Ronin Warriors Armor Plus Ryo
  15. Damn the VT looks beautiful in both armored and unarmored modes. Well done Yamato.
  16. Over here they will be $67 USD
  17. I don't but read a few reviews overseas, sounds like the initial impressions are all disappointing, I've heard the limited articulation of Pegas and the small size of Blade as the primary complaints.
  18. I prefer the boxart of the models, I miss hand drawn illustrations. Not sure if I will pick up more DX VF-25's. While there are things that I love about them, they aren't without their flaws, and this isn't so much a by product of the aesthetic chosen(thick over thin), but the handling qualities and flaws in other areas. I feel that if Bandai did go for a more anime accurate toy, maybe the paint on the LERX stripes wouldn't be scratched as much. Also the shoulders look better on the model kit, I don't like how the 5-dot block has to be moved up to move the shoulder out to the sides(it can move without moving the block but barely). The diecast and plastic used is fine, I prefer it, and I like the gloss paint job, but ultimately I hope Bandai makes a completely redesigned DX next year, and looking at how things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if they do next year. I'd like a redesigned one made with armor accomodations to begin with so that the armor stays attached, the silhouette of the model, articulation like that of the model+VF100's+SIDE VF combined, retractable landing gear similar in profile to the VF100's gear(I prefer it to the model), hands that HOLD the gun well and aren't loose under the weight of it at the ball joint attachment point, the gloss paint, diecast, and plastic of the DX but with more sealant to prevent paint scratches, a knife that can be removed from the shield, extending flap or compartment on the shield to accomodate ANY hands in fighter mode, universal ratchet/detent joints for the hips/shoulders, and possibly more.
  19. Agreed Yeah but did ANYONE like BM Cheetor? The Supreme one one of the acknowledged black sheep of Transformers. The larger=simpler rule doesn't always apply either, ROTF Prime and TF1 Prime are far more complex than the same pricepoint Cybertron Prime and much, much more complex than Classics voyager Prime. Yup I have both and IMHO the only reason Unicron is more popular than Primus is because he has much more recognition being a character that fans wanted a toy of since the 1986 G1 movie. Primus has more intricate details and IMO looks better. Both are worth picking up without a doubt.
  20. Chong Li, Marlon Brando's character from Apocalypse now, Ivan Drago, and Darth Vader
  21. Watching: Cromartie High School Gundam 00 Tekkaman Blade Full Metal Panic!
  22. Forgot just how old, but that's from a few years back but may have been a re-release of the vintage version with slight retooling. There is an all new AT ST coming out with 2 seats and more details, possibly more gimmicks.
  23. Looks so freaking sleek and beautiful, good work honkhet! Damn I should have bought this at Otakon.
  24. I have a feeling that they are aiming for a Spring release. I think they will wait for hype to build up after the movie premiere, and unveil this before Xmas. I also have the feeling that this will incorporate more detail than the 1/72 kit, have the articulation of the VF100's toy, be more durable/sturdy than both, have perfect transformation like the DX, but will be anime accurate unlike the DX and be the ultimate Bandai VF-25 for quite sometime. Despite all this, I too wonder what's going on with this.
