Star Wars toys

Hell yeah. The vintage one is TINY compared to the new one. I could not believe how small it was in comparison. This isn't to say the vintage one is bad, it still looks decent but wow...it's a big change in size. The X-Wing is definitely better, and I like it better, it's a classic, it's the ship I wanted most when I was younger. The Z-95 I think would be cool for the starfighter assortments, the price is decent, and they need more new molds. Repaints are fine but I'd like to see something new. Speaking of new I'd LOVE to see the TIE Defender. I didn't like it much at 1st, but now I've grown to like it. -

Haven't seen it yet. Got the Clone Wars Y-Wing recently and this SOB is HEAVY. 1-2LB heavy. The removable boosters aren't hollow, they actually have some heft to them. The gimmicks are cool, I definitely prefer this one over the vintage version. I saw a comparison image of the CW Y-Wing with the vintage toy, and the vintage one is SMALL compared to this. I don't think the ARC-170 and retooled Gunship are worth $65-70 but I think this new Y-Wing is, and I didn't initially. Definitely a worthy pick up and I predict it will be a hot seller this Xmas. Out of all the starfighters Anakin has flown, this is the most beast to me. Could be alone on this, but anyone else want a Z-95 Headhunter in the starfighter($19.99) size class? Could be cool, and Han Solo flew it according to some books. -

I doubt it, but it's hard to say. Maybe Kmart and TRU will cut prices by $5 to better match their competitors. They don't seem to be shelf warmers and they do sell, when they were 1st released they were hard to find, and stores gradually stocked more. So right now Bumblebee is in saturation with Sideswipe behind him, but next month it might be a completely different story as Xmas shopping starts. They aren't warming shelves like the wave 1-2 voyagers, Devastator or Leader Megatron. -

Agreed, passed on the AT TE due to lack of space, still want it eventually, looks awesome. The X-Wings rule, still on the fence about buying Wedge's, mainly because I already have Luke's 2006 Dagobah version. All the new packs should have been packed at least 2 per case, 1 per case packing is terrible, I can tell the packs have been in my area because I see a TON of the Wedge/alien guy packs. -

Nope, not planning to, the mold itself was disappointing, I picked up the mass market Powerglide last year and didn't like it that much. The red is bland, the body is molded in a red that is similar, but a bit darker than Classics Ironhide. If it was molded in red like that of Classics Sideswipe, it would look much better, but the red used here on Powerglide is bland. Picked up Blazemaster last night. Weird shoulder joints but the dual elbows function similar to shoulder joints. The shoulders are on ball joints but forward movement is severely limited, they mainly act as swivel joints to move to the sides. The elbows provide forward motion. Leg articulation is excellent, and transformation can be better, it is stabilize primarily through tabs on the shoulder pads that plug into the spine section, which is completely neglected in the instructions. The tail assembly ought to plug in better. Other than thought, it's worthy of a purchase, a unique autobot. Also picked up Human Alliance Skids the other day. The surprise of this is that Arcee isn't that bad. I actually like her. The head sculpt reminds me of that ninja female Decepticon in G1. Skids does not disappoint. Articulation is good, the shoulders rely on the hinge connecting to the body for sideways motion, so in that respect it is similar to the DX VF-25. I wish he had thigh swivels and shoulder joints like Bumblebee and Sideswipe(where you don't have to rely on the hinge to move it outwards). Like Bumblebee, Skids has 3 places to put the human drivers on in robot mode. The shade of green is not as pale/bright as the deluxe version, so it doesn't look as cheap. Skids and Mudflap have both gotten great figures in the line, and I think the Human Alliance version of Skids is the best Skids figure so far. I have no doubt that Human Alliance Mudflap will be superior to the deluxe version too. I recommend all 3 of the current Human Alliance figures, the best one being Bumblebee, followed by Skids, and then Sideswipe. Sideswipe is not bad, in fact I prefer him over the deluxe, he just isn't as good as Skids and Bumblebee. -

Mudflap yes, the images of the resin prototype with Agent Simmons were shown during summer. No Ratchet so far, just a new Ratchet for the deluxe waves, as a rival to movie Lockdown, which looks like the Animated one but is an all new mold with the movie aesthetic. Pretty neat IMHO. -

G.I. Joe Rise Of Cobra Wave 5 Released At Retail Yes this is the wave with Resolute Snake Eyes branded as City Strike Snake Eyes. Not only does it have the accessories planned for Resolute Snake Eyes, it even has additional gear from Arctic Snake Eyes. So in otherwords it's got a crapload of gear. First sighting was at Kmart of all places(they actually got something new?). Happy hunting! -

I could be wrong but it seems like the head itself might not need to be removed, but the fin and the lasers do. If you look at the gerwalk proto, it looks like the fin is not molded as part of the head but as a separate piece. So if Bandai ever makes a YF-19 or VF-19F, it might be perfect transformation..wait..maybe -

I've noticed that Hasbro is releasing more fully articulated waves in comic packs and single carded waves. I eagerly look forward to future figures like Shaak Ti form TFU, and concept Ki Di Amundi. The current comic pack figures look awesome but are hard to find. Darth Krayt=WIN. -
Has Yamato ever said how much a VFX-2 Ravens VF-11B sans armor would cost compared to the current Isamu VF-11B and upcoming VF-11C from Macross 7?

Poll - which 1/60 VF would you like to see next from Yamato?
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to Graham's topic in Toys
Despite it's obscurity it was fairly popular here a few years back, it usually did well on polls here. -
I still want a VFX2 Ravens version, without armor it might be significantly cheaper too. The Ravens scheme is the best I've seen on a VF-11, with Isamu's a close 2nd.

The sub I saw said "daring yet delicate". -
...it's not anything new though, it's been like that for what, nearly 10 years or a little bit over? Toy companies need repaints to survive. Profit from repaints is used for the development of new products. Repaints are easy money sure, but necessary. Competition is good though; if it makes Yamato more aggressive with handling qc problems prior to release, and gets Bandai to focus more on detail/accuracy whatever then I'm all for competition, especially if it brings out the best in both companies(not right away but eventually).

Sideswipe is good, not as good as Bumblebee but worth picking up nonetheless. HA Bumblebee is the best movie Bumblebee I have ever bought and the best ROTF toy IMHO so far. I've heard that Skids is actually better, and I look forward to buying him a lot. The one I anticipate most(that is unreleased so far) is Barricade, though I like the TF1 figure, I always felt he deserved a better figure -
Doubt it, the base body looks bigger with unique parts, it doesn't look like a standard human body like Ryo or Alto, some of the base body pieces look bulked up to match Blade's silhouette with the armor on.

It will stay at MSRP or close until JSI says so. Any retailer undercutting the price by more than 10% will not receive stock. This is why some of the etailers that were charging below $200 had to change the price to at least $209 before shipping. As for quality, JSI is dedicated to avoiding the mistakes of 21st Century Toys. Fans who got the JSI Lightning and Corsair noted much improved quality control compared to the 21st' releases. The weathering is all pre-applied, so what you see in the initial pics is most likely what you will get. So I expect the quality to be superb. Just a heads up, if you are a TFW2005/HISS Tank member, the login id/password should be the same

To be honest, I preferred the landing gear on the VF100's version to that of the DX and model; too short on the DX, way too long on the model. I could do without gear on the 2SS but I'd like it if the other releases like the Fire Valk had the gear. A lack of gear wouldn't stop me from buying one but it would be good to see. -

^^^^^^^^ THIS! I'd love to see the VF-2SS with SAP and attack bits in the VF HI METAL line. I could do without landing gear on it because I don't ever remember seeing it deploy it's gear at all in the anime, though I could be wrong. I hope other obscure designs like the Metal Siren and VF-2JA get some love in that line too. I suspect that the VF-25 will make its entry in the VF HI METAL line next spring and blow the VF100's out of the water too.
