Dirge RULES! One of the best deluxes I've picked up in quite some time. Got Bludgeon and Recon Ironhide, been looking forward to these 2 for MONTHS! Bludgeon is great, I LOVE the mech alive, hidden scabbard gimmick. Now Recon Ironhide, better than the previous versions, however the plastic that the waist peg plugs into looks cheap and splits at the mold line. This happen to anyone else?

Meanwhile I just opened MINE and it is GREAT. You talk about play friendly? THIS valk, is either just as play friendly, if not MORE SO. It really is great man, I was shockingly astonished at how well it turned out. $%^&*(ing amazing is what this god damn thing is! The only thing I don't like is that the lower heat shield is hard to lock into place because the upper lip of the shield is very small and I have HUGE fingers. I actually find it to be more durable than the V2 VF-1(not to say the V2 isn't durable, IT IS, but the VF-11 feels more sturdy, and the V2 VF-1 is sturdy as is!). EDIT also the tip Ghostkiller mentioned about pulling the tailfins out until you hear a click so that the fins look bigger? It's actually in the instructions! Page 21, images 2-3, and YES the fins don't look that small when fully extended!

Animated Cybertronian Deluxe Optimus Prime is TOYCRACK. Admittedly I wasn't expecting anything beyond a decent figure, but after posing and transforming the toy, I was thoroughly impressed. Best Prime in the Animated line, until the new wingblade Prime is released. Optimus Primal from the 1st Beast Wars is great too. SO MUCH gimmickry WITHOUT compromising ANY articulation. How they pulled it off boggles my mind, but I know for sure it wasn't a toy that gained a lot of respect from me until years later. It truly is one of the best figures in that line(and there are several). ROTF Buster Prime looks EXCELLENT too. However there is one WITH the battle mask AND blue pin striping, in the new Buster Prime/Jetfire 2 pack from Japan.

The ideal launch release for this series for me, would be a TV VF-1S Roy Focker Special: Have the base color be light or medium gray(not as dark as the low viz 1S Missle tips pointed red Blue tinted canopy If not weathering, then inked in panel lines Swappable TV hands Roy Focker in TV pilot suit Hiikaru in TV pilot suit Sticker sheet with Roy and Hikaru canopy markings(so you can choose which one to put on) FAST packs(TV style) Why Hikaru, Roy and the FAST packs? So you can create the standard 1S that Roy used before death, and Hikaru afterwards, and the FAST packs to create the Booby Duck when Hikaru used the Skull 1. Besides, it seems that the TV 1S with pilot Roy is still something fans want. Plus, if Roy AND Hikaru come with this set, you won't have to buy the VF-1J just to get Hikaru.

Also the benefit of the inclusion of the VF-0A sticker sheet is that it's already made and the cheapest thing to add in. It's not like new parts have to be tooled up with that one.

True, I remember when the original MPC prototype was actually close in proportions to the HCM, but with that ugly short nose. Then Toynami decided to scale up to 1/55, in part by stretching the nose and fuselage. Once that happened, goodbye HCM-like battroid proportions.

Revenge Of The Fallen Human Alliance Barricade New In Hand Images Looks great, sounds like it's the 2nd best figure in the line, and IMHO looks WAY BETTER than the deluxe from the 1st movie(and I like that figure too!). Don't know if most of you have picked up the Human Alliance figures but they are my favorite movie figures so far. Very fun to play with.

I dig the new game Prime's robot mode. Big and bulk and reminds me of Cybertron, WWI and Animated Optimus' designs. Not bad, though a tad too bulky, like the Optimus Primal fists. Wouldn't mind seeing a toy of it, I like new takes on characters like this, and I've always liked the armored Cybertronian look. Can't wait to see MEGATRON.

VF-1A. Beat Milia with it. Became an ace 1st with it. Combat relevant. Disguised himself as a Zentran soldier in it to save Hikaru, Kakizaki and Misa. VF-1J looks cool and is more recognizable but for me, combat relevance and 1st impressions win the day.
