  1. Bandai really hates the VF-171? The VF-171 looks awesome to me! Definitely deserved more screentime! Also Graham, is it possible for Yamato to make the VF-0B? I LOVE 2 seater valks, and the Hasegawa Space Proving Wing VF-0B looks great. I'd LOVE to have a 1/60 version. Hey speaking of which, is Yamato planning to rerelease the VF-0A and VF-0S this year? EDIT also, grey or white I don't care what color the shoulder hinges come in so long as they are fixed!
  2. Graham, if anything are they okay with using POM for the shoulder hinges? I would prefer metal, or a return to the 1/48 style backplate/shoulder hinges. On those ones, even if you push the hinges through the "stopper/bumps", the hinges will NOT break. I have done this many times on the 1/48 1S Hikaru I have, always thinking this is the way the arms are supposed to be swiveled from fighter to gerwalk, and have YET to have a breakage. Bear in mind my 1S Hikaru is now 7 years old, and those hinges aren't going to break in the forseeable future. The best thing about the v2 1/60 shoulders is the tightness, unlike the 1/48, the ball joints do not feel prone to looseness over time. However the hinges themselves are better on the 1/48. Similar in function and look but the major exception being the lack of breakages on the 1/48 shoulder hinges. The easy way out of this is to use diecast shoulder hinges on the v2 1/60, or at least POM.
  3. They aren't selling for less, but some of the etailers started to recently. Angolz slashed the price a bit last week.
  4. Hey Azrael, I always sifted through the previous threads to find out what exactly happened with the license(s). In this one post you have not only answered my questions but also cleared things up in a HUGE way. Thanks for posting this thread!
  5. Anyone with the new BIG WINGED TIE FIGHTERS, are they worth picking up? THey are $40+tax over here. Dig the TIE pilots.
  6. New Star Wars AT AT For 2010 When I was younger, I passed on the 97 releases which were clearanced down to $15 at KB Toy Works. For years I regretted this...until now!
  7. I'm wondering if Yamato would make a 2nd run of the Armored GPB bundle WITH smooth pins and WITH a sticker letting retailer and consumer alike know that they have the "fixed" version. I've noticed that Angolz also quickly slashed the price a bit this week.
  8. Oh it's cool, thanks for responding, trying to track down which retailers had a later run with smoother pins, and which batches(bundled or stand alone) had it. Chronocidal had a stand alone with smoother pins that he got back in October, so some of the stand alone VF-1J's are actually okay.
  9. Is your VF-1J a stand alone, and where and when did you order it?
  10. No breakages I've heard of for the smooth pin. Can you ask if there is a mass market, stand along GPB set planned, and if Yamato will do a 2nd run of the Armored bundle set, with the smooth pins on the VF-1J?
  11. Graham, is Yamato going to rectify this by making a 2nd "fixed" run sans knurled pins? If so, will they include a sticker so that the etailers can tell which GPB sets they are selling(regular set, not the "Itano Circus" online exclusive)? Also, has Yamato said if and when they will sell the GPB armor separately?
  12. Is your VF-1J a stand alone, or was it packed with the FAST Packs? Also, which retailer did you order it from?
  13. Just to be safe David, is it possible to request the shoulders specifically from the Max Valkyries? Those ones for sure have pins sans knurling. All we need are the shoulders themselves, not the pads/covering.
  14. Just got a 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru and the left hip was very very loose at the ball joint. Took both hips apart, found that both rubber caps are shaped differently. One too tight, the other too loose. Any tips on making the loose one more tighter?
  15. I need 4 hinges, 2 pairs, left and right, for my Strike Roy, and Strike/Super Hikaru 1A. My TV Max 1A is fine.
  16. To those who have the Max and Milia 22S', do the wings have enough of a gap to store the guns via fitting the gun handles inside?
  17. My theory is that the 1J's included with the GPB sets are overstock 1J's from last year with painted visor trim. This would also explain why they have the old style nose hatches instead of the 1/48 style, easier to use hatches seen on the newer releases like the ELINT Seeker, low viz 1S, et al. Some of us were wondering why the old hatch was used on the GPB 1J, and if these 1J's truly are overstock from last year, with painted visors, we have our answer(since those didn't have the new nose hatches).
  18. Fifth Revenge Of The Fallen Leader-Class Mold Revealed To Be Bumblebee Looks to be the best Bumblebee yet, with Human Alliance in 2nd place.
  19. New G.I. Joe Pursuit Of Cobra Possible Bravo VAMP With Clutch And HISS Tank Images No Cover Girl without the Wolverine!!!!!!!!!! =)
  20. 1-The 2nd run is supposed to have a tighter crotch lock and less dihedral(wings shouldn't be angled as high) 2-Yes
  21. G.I. Joe Pursuit Of Cobra Retooled Sigma 6 Iron Hammer Mechs And Jurassic Park G.I. Joes In Hand The Jurassic Park drivers I might use as ninjas, they look awesome. I want to see more mechs!
  22. The 1st release Roy had the most breakages. Breakages were fewer and fewer as time went on. My Roy and Hikaru Strike Valks had cracked hinges. The VF-1J had a few, but if you had releases from the later runs after the Max types were released you should be okay(a few fans reported that some of their stand alone 1J's had the unknurled pins). VF-1D has the knurled pins on the 1st run but no reported shoulder hinge breakages.
  23. AWESOME! Looks great too!
