  1. UK Toy Fair 2010 Transformers Update With Promotional Ad Seaspray...I thought would look better, same with the new Bruticus.
  2. In Soviet Russia, plane fly you!
  3. From what I've read, NO ONE from the Red Eagles liked flying the MIG-23.
  4. Just a more screen accurate ROTF voyager
  5. I ended up picking that one up too, it is an AWESOME piece, best TIE Fighter I own(I have Vader's, and a TRU exclusive Interceptor from a few years back with red stripe). The new cockpit is great, hell nearly the entire thing is made up of new parts. I'm glad it turned out that way, instead of just being an old cockpit with the big wings.
  6. So the piece in question, can it stay on in fighter mode, so long as the shoulder flaps(the maroon pieces) are folded up? Can they even fold up?
  7. Wait for the 1/48 model or for a VF HI-METAL version(which I suspect will hit after the VF-1).
  8. I agree, they are more enjoyable bare. The crotch lock annoys me since I like disconnecting the waist section and angling it forward, makes for a more dynamic look, however during the dynamic poses I put it in, the crotch tends to unlock, leading the to Messiah falling backwards.
  9. So there is no room for the central fin to stick out, even with plates folded up>?
  10. Angolz has the 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru Custom for only $97. The 1/48 VF-1 has a more user friendly transformation than the V2 1/60 VF-1, and is still the biggest and most detailed, perfect variable(no parts swapping needed for transformation) VF-1 toy out there. Not as sleek, nor as articulated as the V2 1/60 VF-1 but still worthy of purchasing. The GPB armor will be rereleased by Yamato in March. I have the VF-1J Hikaru in 1/48 scale and my only complaint was that the right hip on mine is significantly looser than the left. A fellow member here(I think nightmareb4macross) suggested using a hole punch and a piece of a floormat to add tension, haven't tried it yet.
  11. Hey Graham can the shoulder plates/flaps fold up in fighter mode so that the head fin can remain in place?
  12. Is yours loose at the right shoulder? I was told that the VF-25S I bought was a 2nd issue but I'm not completely sure if mine really is. The right shoulder joint is loose, the gun hand droops under the weight of the gun, and the crotch lock does not lock very securely.
  13. Agreed, it definitely is one of the easiest valks to transform. Easier than the V2 1/60 VF-1 IMHO.
  14. Indeed, very informative and objective too.
  15. Last time I read it sounded like the US has at least 10-12, some possibly operating under the unit that either took the place of, or is unofficially, the Red Eagles from the USAF.
  16. New Star Wars 2010 AT AT And Snowspeeder Update
  17. If Yamato were to offer the 1/48 VF-1 in unpainted, kit form, much like their upcoming V2 1/60 VF-1 in kit form, would you buy it? The 1/48 was the base for many custom VF-1's during the last 8 years. At one point, there was demand for such a thing, but it never reached fruition. Considering that the lack of paint reduces cost, and labor is reduced for something made in kit form, the release might be cheaper(albeit not drastically) than the regular, painted, pre-made release. Even now, some of the best customs known throughout the fandom, were made with the 1/48 VF-1. Thoughts?
  18. New Rise Of Cobra Wolf Hound With Whiteout In Different Colors
  19. Carscream and Carwarp FOR THE LOSE!
  20. I get the feeling that the landing gear will be available with a new version, possibly bundled with the speaker pods shown in Figure Oh! last month.
  21. Pursuit Of Cobra Rip Attack Vehicles Wave 2 And Possible Dreadknok Cycle Plus Retooled Ghost HAWK
  22. In any case it's better to have the smooth pins on all future releases just to be safe. My 1/60 1S had a hairline crack which I thought was a mold line until it developed further months later. My Hikaru 1A came with the crack wide open. 1A TV Max is just fine. In any case I think it would also be great if Yamato released a stand alone GPB set for mass market. The only other one available is the webshop exclusive Itano Circus version.
  23. I think it is supposed to angle out farther. To lessen the stress, instead of just pulling until an audible click is heard, I push the fin inwards a bit from the side to alleviate the scraping/tension on the tab. Also, in the manual, the instructions do show that the fins are meant to swivel out, then extend.
  24. Hey Graham, Is Yamato willing to release the GPB armor parts by themselves for mass market? There are fans who don't want to pay up for the Yamato webshop exclusive "Itano Circus" missle version, and might just want the armor by itself for their other valks.
