  1. In all honesty I think it's new stock, the VF-0 has been sold out across all stores for possibly almost 2 years now. The glare was never implemented on the canopies until the V2 1/60 VF-1 line. Also, the toy was also off white(or bone white), it was never bright white say, like the VF-1J Hikaru in the V2 1/60 line.
  2. It might be incentive for me to get it; gray looked great on the vintage Takatoku 1/55. Also I have yet to buy the GPB.
  3. Hope these are legit, looks pretty good.
  4. HKCOLLECTIBLES.Com and Angolz.com
  5. Is the toy molded in gray instead of bright white? I thought I read something about that on the Yamato blog
  6. In addition, it has the bigger/rounded, TV style fixed pose hands. It will lack the plated tinting for the canopy too. Instead of the faint gray color that the DYRL? version was molded in, the upcoming TV versions will will be molded in bright white like the Hikaru 1J.
  7. HLJ may have already brought them in. They had a sale 1-2 months back for the super Hikaru 1J bundle. There are some who got theirs from the sale and reported no breakage, and some who did.
  8. I'd wait for him to post a thread or new sig, he's been pretty busy.
  9. HLJ has the Tornado Messiah for 30% off: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN958454 I'm done with the DX VF-25 until Bandai either does a great renewal version or 2.0. I can wait. Might get the Quarter and 27 eventually this year.
  10. I didn't know until a few months ago that the missles are suppose to be clipped on/removed at an angle. IIRC the pylons have to be attached pointing outwards at an angle, to remove them you have to swivel them out, then pull, otherwise the attachment point might snap off.
  11. There have only been a few reports of members who got a Hikaru 1J(super or stand alone) that have smooth shoulder pins(fixed). It's a gamble with that one. If it's from a later run it might be okay but the only way to know is if your retailer remembers when he/she received it.
  12. Holy sh!t I had so many run on sentences in the original thread, and random capitol letters. Awesome.
  13. I might be wrong but aside from Wheeljack being in Armada, and Energon being a sequel in the US to Armada(the Japanese versions did not tie into each other like the US versions did), IIRC the name wasn't used because of political correctness, the name being close to "Carjack" or something.
  14. Macross Chronicle exclusive, tickets are due July 16th, and found in issues #49 & 50. I think it will be delivered in fall.
  15. Hasbro Grimlock will be sold 1st at the Toys R Us booth at SDCC, then afterwards at Toys R Us stores. VF HI METAL Hikaru VF-1J is out next month.
  16. I see it...looks pretty cool, I dig Russian influence on VF's.
  17. I forgot which episode that is but I do remember that he got the 1J after the Virgin Road episode. His 1A is awesome, more combat relevant but it doesn't have the flashy looks/contrast of his VF-1J. Hell the primary reason I want his 1S is because he kicked ass with it in DYRL?. That's just me though. There are some paint schemes I would definitely put money down on, but combat/character relevance fuels most of my purchases.
  18. Hasbro Grimlock is going to be $59.99, less than 1/2 the price of the Japanese version AND with the crown(and I think red sword) that were only available via the MP-8X exclusive which costed even more than the regular Japanese release. I'd get Grimlock, and wait for the reviews on the VF HI METAL VF-1J. For the price, you are getting a ton more bang for the buck out of Grimlock.
  19. THIS will be my low viz(might pick it up) until Yamato makes another low viz.
  20. Eh holy %^&* it transforms? EXCELLENT! Looks great!
  21. I think the 35C looks best.
  22. Gotta admit, the Joint Strike Fatty looks good in the new pics.
  23. Robot Damashii and Revoltech have key differences: Revoltech is primarily PVC construction; Robot Damashii has a mix of ABS, POM, and some PVC. The former is more prone to warping. Robot Damashii is a figure that can maintain neutral stances yet retain full articulation. Revoltech is primarily for dynamic posing and for most, neutral stances cannot be achieved. As in straight posture, et al. I guess the easiest way to boil it down is that Revoltech lends itself to more exaggerated proportions, poses and stances more than Robot Damashii. Robot Damashii is like a basic all around action figure for collectors, while Revoltech is all about dynamic posing. Robot Damashii tend to be taller than their Revoltech counterparts. Robot Damashii uses regular joints while Revoltech uses a combination of mono-shaft joints combined with revolver joints. Hope this helps.
  24. It's possible but I'm not really sure why they aren't set stateside until August. As for Australia and maybe the UK, they were set to have it in June, earlier than us...it's a rare turn of events. Definitely looking forward to Generations and hopefully will pick up my 1st FansProject stuff later this year. Most of the PCC stuff isn't doing it for me.
